Alvaro has chocolate brown skin, and matching dark eyes. He has a square face and even facial features: almond eyes, a slightly larger nose and thick lips. He also has freckles, but only under his eyes. His eyebrows are sharp and angular, but his lashes are long. He keeps his black hair styled short on the sides and longer towards the top. He's rather short at 5'5", and he is on the chubby side as well. His ears are also pierced, with two on the left and one on the tight. He has a beauty mark on the right side of his neck, just under his ear. He also needs glasses.

Alvaro is as his name suggests, cautious. He's always on the look out for something to go wrong, and as a result, is always nervous. He's scared of the future, past and present, so he approaches everything with extreme care. He's easily scared, and prefers to hide over confrontation. He never drops that guard, even around friends. If he was in a murder mystery, he would be the first character to be ruled out as not the killer, because he seems too scared. His nervousness would make others assume that he did it, but a further look would obviously show otherwise. He hates being alone though, because it just increases his weariness. He doesn't hate his fear though— if anything he says it keeps him focused. Most people who are never afraid are always reckless.
Maybe someone can come along and teach him why it's okay to not be so cautious sometimes.

Alvaro was born to be cautious. Being able to Camouflage into his surroundings, it was almost like it was built into him to retreat away. He was an orphan, but his orphanage was an amazing and caring place. He considered his caretaker his mother, and she considered him her son. She tried to teach him to be a bit more brave, but the other orphans would jokingly scare him constantly. Every time they did, he would yelp and blend into his surroundings. They didn't know that it would force a constant guard on him; if they did they would have stopped. He grew up healthy otherwise, and was cared for. His caretaker sent him here once the humans began to look for people like him— the supernatural. Everyone else at the orphanage was pure human, including the children, but everyone agreed to keep who he was a secret. Because they love him, and he loves them too.

Alvaro is afraid of getting hurt, or of unexpected things. He's afraid that his family back at the orphanage will get hurt because of him. Alvaro is afraid of major change, he doesn't when everything flips.

Other than constantly being wary, Alvaro tends to bite his nails and pick at the skin around them.

Powers:
Alvaro has the ability to camouflage into his surroundings. Essentially, he turns invisible for a period of time. However, this mainly only happens when he is afraid, or when he is in the mist of a fight. Alvaro does not disappear, he only appears to no longer be there. Alvaro never had much opportunity to practice his powers, so he isn't as used to using them as others may be.
