She has a very original mind, a great drive for implementing her ideas and achieving her goals. She isn't one to laze around. She is quick see patterns in and has developed long-range explanatory perspectives. When committed, she can organize a job and carry it through. Sometimes skeptical but independent, she has high standards of competence and performance— for herself and others. Nerida is imaginative, but is decisive, ambitious yet likes her privacy. Curious but focused. She keeps everyone in check because of this.
Accepting and working with inconsistencies is just another part of her, which helps mend issues with The Assassins.
A bookworm, logic is something she feeds off of, and she takes pride in what she knows. And as for the tradition of women ruling society, well she hates that. She is a firm believer in equality, and thus believes that that inequality is illogical. In the same way, she breaks away from societies expectations.
When it comes to working with others, she tries, being fully aware of her position. But, she doesn't wait for others to catch up to her.
What makes her the leader she is, is how rational she remains despite how attractive an ill-considered route may appear.

⌈ BACKSTORY ⌋
Nerida grew up with Amphitrite as her sister. Strange? Definitely.
She left a young age, fed up with the entire stupidity of her rule. No matter how much she emphasized equality, her family would never take her seriously and only saw her as the jealous younger sibling. She reasoned with her family, emphasizing that there was more she wanted to do, other than the paperwork and basic governing. There was more she was capable of.

Taking on a different name and a new identity, she met the Leader of Révma's Assassins. The woman luckily was unaware ofher lineage, and then trained her, eventually leading her to rise up the ranks.
When the Leader died, or was murdered for better terms, it was only fit for her to take over her position. But Nerida tried to lead differently, in a more equal manner than before. She let the men under her rise too, and showed no discrimination between men and women.
Yet still, people disagreed to her position. She hopes that they can collectively improve.
