So, Cheeku is up to some important work. How will it go for everyone involved?

Cheeku stood in front of Sakshi with a smile on his face while Yuvi and Sonu exchanged looks.

They were confused about what the kid was up to especially when they saw Mahi also entering the team room soon after.

Sakshi looked at the kid with a questioning glance, so Cheeku says, "Sakshi Di, Bhaiya na aapko pasand karte hai. Yuvi Pa aur Sonu Bhai ne mujhe bataya ki aap bhi unko pasand karti ho. Mujhe bhi aap bahut hi achhi lagti ho toh kya aap meri Bhabhi banengi? (Sakshi Di, Bhaiya likes you. Yuvi Pa and Sonu Bhai told me that you also like him. I also like you very much, so will you be my Bhabhi?)"

Everyone's jaw drops once the kid was done while Mahi cursed his best friends for putting this idea in his baby brother's head.

Sonu and Yuvi were worried about Cheeku telling their best friend about their conversation, but this kid seemed to be two steps ahead of them because he confirmed Mahi's feelings and directly proposed to Sakshi.

They didn't even need to look at Mahi to know that he was probably planning their murder in his head.

Sakshi was stunned, to say the very least, at the sudden and unexpected proposal.

She was happy to know that Mahi liked her, but she had never imagined getting a proposal like this.

The longer it took for Sakshi to reply, the more Mahi wished that the ground would open up to swallow him whole.

Cheeku looked expectantly at Sakshi and asks again, "Kya aap mere Bhaiya se shaadi karengi (Will you marry my Bhaiya)?"

Mahi was very close to banging his head on the wall when he hears a faint "Yes" in the background and turns around in shock.

Cheeku's face lights up and he starts jumping excitedly earning himself a round of laughter from everyone around.

Sonu turns to his sister and asks, "You sure about this?"

Mahi looks at her expectantly as Sakshi smiles and replies, "Yes, I'm sure."

Sonu then hugs his sister and congratulates her before going to hug his best friend who appeared to be in some kind of a trance.

Yuvi starts dancing with his little Rabbit while the rest of the team congratulate their assistant team manager.

Mahi snapped out of his trance when his best friend hugged him and asks, "Cheeku ko yeh sab sikhane ki kya zaroorat thi (What was the need to teach Cheeku about all this)?"

Sonu replies, "Humne toh sirf pasand karne wale topic ke baare me baat ki thi. Shaadi ke baare me toh Dona Bhabhi ne sikhaya tha iss ladke ko. Mujhe aur Yuvi ko iss baat ke liye ab gaali dena band kar. (We only brought up the topic of you both liking each other with him. Dona Bhabhi taught this boy about marriage. Now stop cursing me and Yuvi for this situation.)"

Mahi just shakes his head at the response before he decides to have a small chat with the girl that he really likes.

Sakshi was laughing at the two dancing boys when Mahi took a seat next to her and looking at his facial expression, she just knew that he wanted to talk about something important.

Mahi says, "I don't exactly know why you said yes to Cheeku, but I won't hold it against you if you change your mind later. Cheeku is a child and he doesn't exactly understand how relationships work. Please don't feel obligated just because of him. I would really hate to lose your friendship over something like this."

Sakshi turns to face him and asks, "Are you telling me that you don't like me?"

Mahi replies nervously, "No. Ummm... We're friends so obviously I like you."

Sakshi gives him a look and says, "I know this and you also know what I meant by that question."

Mahi turns away to hide the fact that he was blushing and replies, "I do like you. Genuinely. But I'm also very grateful for your friendship and I just don't want anything to change between us."

Sakshi says, "I understand your point and I also remember what you think about relationships in your current situation. But do you remember what I said that I would like about my possible future partner?"

Mahi replies, "You would like for your partner to be like your best friend. I remember."

Sakshi smiles and says, "Exactly. Mahi, you're one of my best friends and nothing can ever change that. I understand your relationship with Cheeku and it also happens to be one of the things I love most about you."

Mahi teasingly asks, "So we're up to love now?"

Sakshi raises an eyebrow and replies in an equally teasing tone, "Well I might be, but I'm not so sure about you."

Mahi can't help but blush at the obvious teasing while Sakshi continues, "Aww, you look so cute. My sweetie is blushing."

The teasing goes on for a few minutes before Sakshi says, "I know that our relationship will have its fair share of challenges, but I'm ready to face them with you by my side. You've always put Cheeku first and, in the process, you've forgotten how to make some decisions just for your own happiness. We'll always have our little cupid with us, but let's create our own happiness together. You also deserve to live your life to the fullest Mahi. I promise to be with you to share your burdens and multiply your happiness."

Mahi smiles and pulls her in for a hug while Sakshi places her head on his chest.

Sonu watches his best friend and his sister with a serene smile on his face while Yuvi announces that they'll have a small party in the evening.

Mahi was about to veto the idea, but his baby brother seemed to be so happy about the party that he just gave in.

Just then Sonu says, "Waise Mahi, hamare bhaiyon ko bhi toh batana hai abhi. Aaj hi bata de ya thoda ruk ke bataayega? (By the way Mahi, we have to tell our brothers also now. You want to do that today itself or wait for some time and then tell them?)"

Mahi replies, "Aaj hi toh batana padega. Yuvi ka muh band rakhna possible thodi hai. Plus ab Cheeku apni excitement me kya bol jaaye kya pata. (We'll have to tell them today itself. It's impossible to keep Yuvi's mouth shut. Plus now who knows what Cheeku will blurt out in his excitement.)"

Yuvi looks offended while Cheeku excitedly asks, "Abhi bata de kya unko (Should we tell them now)?"

Mahi replies, "Let me change out of this uncomfortable suit first."

Once Mahi changed into a more comfortable outfit, his best friends came to his room to have a chat with their older brothers.

Personally, he would have preferred to not have any of those clowns present for this conversation, but they all were pretty stubborn.

Mahi just knew that he was going to be teased relentlessly during the conversation by everyone present.

He could only hope his baby brother would come to his rescue once again, but Yuvi had corrupted the kid to quite an extent so he couldn't be too sure.

They decided to have a conference call with all their brothers at once to avoid accusations of favouritism later because one of them was told before the others.

The older brothers were quite confused by the sudden call and started asking if everything was okay as soon as they accepted it.

Sonu interjects, "Aap sab please shaant ho jaaiye. Sab theek hai lekin humko bas aap sab ko kuch batana tha. (All of you please calm down. Everything is fine but we just wanted to tell you something.)"

Dada asks, "Aisa kya ho gaya (What exactly happened)?"

Yuvi replies, "Jammy Bhai, aapki prediction ek dum sahi nikli (Jammy Bhai, your prediction was absolutely right)."

Jammy Bhai looks confused and asks, "Kaunsi prediction (Which prediction)?"

Sachin Paaji adds, "Seedhe-seedhe batao ki kya baat hai. Yeh jalebi ki tarah baat mat ghumaao. (Tell us what the matter is directly. Don't talk in circles now.)"

Cheeku excitedly replies, "Mujhe ek aur Bhabhi milne wali hai (I'm going to get another Bhabhi)."

Dada asks, "Tum me se kisne apne liye ladki dhoondh li hai bina humko kuch bhi bataye (Which one of you has found something without telling us anything)?"

Yuvi and Sonu smirk and reply together, "Not us"

Jammy Bhai asks, "Wait a minute, you're telling me Mahi found someone?"

Mahi hides his face while his best friends shamelessly nod their heads.

Sachin Paaji sternly asks, "Why were we not told about this before?"

Dada adds, "If Cheeku is calling her Bhabhi, then that means that marriage is on the cards. How long has this been going on for?"

Mahi replies, "Honestly, officially just a few hours."

Seeing the confused look on his brothers faces, Mahi explains, "I wasn't dating anyone. We just liked each other and these guys found out about it recently."

Sachin Paaji asks, "If you weren't dating then why is Cheeku referring to this girl as his Bhabhi? Also who is this girl?"

Sonu nervously replies, "Well we're talking about Sakshi and these two are kinda engaged right now."

Jammy Bhai asks, "You wouldn't happen to be talking about our sister Sakshi now, would you?"

Yuvi replies, "One and the same Jammy Bhai. That's why I said that your prediction was right. The girl for our beloved idiot exists."

Dada looks confused and says, "Now hang on a minute. Mahi and Sakshi weren't dating but now they're engaged. Mahi, don't tell me you directly proposed to the poor girl for marriage."

Mahi replies, "Oh I didn't propose to her at all."

Sachin Paaji asks, "If you didn't propose to her then how are you engaged?"

Cheeku excitedly replies, "I asked Sakshi Di to be my Bhabhi."

The brothers all look at the kid with their jaws dropped while Sonu and Yuvi laugh as they recollect the eventful afternoon.

Jammy Bhai asks, "So you're telling us that Cheeku proposed to Sakshi on Mahi's behalf and she even said yes?"

Sonu replies, "We were just as shocked as you guys."

Dada says, "Sakshi, I hope you know what you're getting into."

Mahi looks offended and asks, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Sakshi lightly chuckles and replies, "Of course I do Dada. Mahi and I already had that conversation and we really do want to be together."

Jammy Bhai smiles and says, "Well then we're really happy for the two of you."

Sachin Paaji adds, "Yes and thanks to Cheeku for proposing now otherwise it would have taken Mahi forever."

Mahi whines, "You are very mean. I'll complain about you to my Bhabhis."

Dada says, "Arre bachha, marwaayega kya (Oh kiddo, are you trying to get us killed)? Promise we won't tease you anymore. Just don't complain to your Bhabhis."

Yuvi whines, "Aap log iski baat se darr jaate ho lekin agar main aisa bolu toh mujhe daant ke chup kara dete ho (You people get scared by his threat but if I say something like this then you shut me up with a round of scolding)."

Cheeku nonchalantly says, "Woh isliye hai kyuki aap har doosre din complain karte ho. Bhaiya toh bahut hi rarely kuch bolte hai. (That's because you complain every other day. Bhaiya rarely ever says anything.)"

Yuvi made a face at being teased by the kid yet again while everyone else let out a few chuckles.

Sachin Paaji asks, "So what's next for you two love birds?"

Mahi replies, "I still haven't completely recovered from the shock of Cheeku's proposal yet. Slow down Paaji."

Sonu says, "You should at least meet Sakshi's parents now. I'm sure they'll be interested in meeting the boy their daughter has decided to get married to."

Mahi's eyes widen while Yuvi teasingly replies, "This should be fun."

Cheeku kisses her brother's cheek and says, "Bhaiya, aap chinta naa karo. Sakshi Bhabhi ke mummy-papa bhi aapko pasand kar lenge. Aap itne achhe ho toh koi kaise aapko pasand nahi karega? (Bhaiya, you don't need to worry. Sakshi Bhabhi's parents will also like you. You are so nice so how can anyone not like you?)"

Mahi mutters under his breath, "If only things could be so simple."

Sakshi hears him and holds his hand to offer some support while Mahi just smiles.

Later in the evening Yuvi brings a small cake for the newly engaged couple to cut after which everyone danced the night away.

A few days later Sonu offers to stay with Cheeku so that Mahi and Sakshi could go on their first official date together.

Both were not very keen on the idea, but Cheeku says, "Bhaiya, aap Bhabhi ko ghumaane leke jaao na. Main Sonu Bhai ke saath yaha reh lunga. (Bhaiya, please take Bhabhi for an outing. I'll stay here with Sonu Bhai.)"

Seeing no way out, Mahi and Sakshi agree to go out for dinner at a restaurant.

Yuvi sent his sister to her room to get ready for their dinner date before giving his best friend some pointers on what all he should do when on the date.

Sonu and Cheeku watched the scene with amusement while Mahi pinched his nose at the amount of nonsense his best friend was sprouting.

The man didn't have a girlfriend himself, but he apparently had all the knowledge of the world when it came to relationships.

Mahi discretely sent a message from his phone for something related to his date.

He might not have had a relationship before, but he believed that he knew a thing or two about how to impress a girl.

Yuvi and Sonu started picking out an outfit for him to wear on his date while Cheeku gave his opinions on them.

Mahi just watched them work together with a smile on his face, feeling blessed for his weird family.

A few hours later Mahi was finally ready in the outfit that was finalised for him and that's when someone knocked at the door.

Sonu and Yuvi looked confused while their best friend went to the door and came back with a bouquet of pink flowers.

Mahi went to get ready and picked up his phone before checking if he had everything he needed.

Yuvi notices the flowers and says, "Those aren't roses. Did you even listen to a single word I said?"

Mahi gives him a look and replies, "You don't always need to get roses. Besides I can assure you that these flowers are a lot more meaningful."

Sonu senses a fight coming so he interjects, "Mahi, how about you just go to pick Sakshi up? You don't want to be late."

Mahi nods and leave the room after which Cheeku asks, "So what are we going to do now?"

Yuvi replies, "I was planning to teach you how to play the new video game that you just bought."

Cheeku excitedly runs to bring the game while Sonu turns to his best friend and says, "I hate you"

Yuvi smirks and replies, "I know"

Mahi knocks on the door next to his room and waits for it to be opened.

Sakshi opens the door with the smile and says, "Great timing. I'm ready to go."

Mahi hands the bouquet to her and replies, "For you"

Sakshi takes a look at the flowers as she places them in a vase present in her room and says, "You know people usually get roses."

Mahi nods and replies, "I do, but I like to give meaningful gifts."

Sakshi says, "Okay then explain the significance of these flowers."

Mahi smiles and replies, "Well pink chrysanthemums are used to send a message to let people know that you care about them and appreciate them. Also, the chrysanthemum happens to be your birth month flower."

Sakshi looks impressed and asks, "How do you know this?"

Mahi nervously rubs the back of his neck and replies, "I might have read a book about this because I really wanted to get my mother a meaningful gift."

Sakshi smiles and says, "Looks like I'll be learning something new about you every day."

Mahi offers his arm and replies, "Well you agreed to marry me, so we've got plenty of time to learn about each other. Besides our life would be too dull if we knew every single thing about each other."

Sakshi just smiles as they make their way to the restaurant where they had planned to have dinner together.

They enjoy each other's company and talk about their most cherished memories.

Mahi loves the fact that he could now share his memories with his parents with someone he deeply cares about.

Sakshi has a fun time imagining what a young Mahi would have looked like when he was up to some shenanigans.

After dinner Mahi walks Sakshi up to her room before wishing her good night.

Sakshi kisses him on the cheek before they enter their respective room.

Looks like the little cupid has done a pretty good job.

I don't really know why but I always imagine Mahi as someone who knows a lot of random facts like the meaning of certain flowers.
