Alrighty S O H I've done some work on the characters and writing out some general ideas for it and finished redesigning Judy and Casey, I'll do Nick and Jack in a separate post as some people have requested 

And if you don't know what I'm talking about boo *bonk* read my posts more >:3 (jk luv u *mwah*)

So first up, Judy Hopps :DDDD

So unlike my last book where she basically wasn't even a character anymore, SHE'S LEGITIMATELY OUR PROTAGONIST NOW YAAAAAAAAAAY :DDDDD

Judy's still as sweet as she was in the movie and still helpful with a good heart, but unfortunately due to the events in the movie, Judy's stopped being as naive as she was before. She's more aware of how much value her words have to the media and Zootopia leading her to be more calculated with what she says. She still feels responsible for Zootopia becoming more divided and doesn't want to make a mistake like that again. It becomes her main conflict in the book, trying to balance this new persona she has to put on while still trying to have the same chipper personality  she had before

For her design I still wanted her to resemble how she looked in the movie while having a tad bit of input from myself. We don't actually see her in casual clothing much in the movie, I think it's actually like twice we see her in something other than her police uniform. So I basically just took the outfit she wore when she first came to the city and took some creative liberty and here we are with her design now :DDD Also just personally in love with the violet eyes like I can't she's so cute-

Fun fact originally she was supposed to have brown khakis but later I kinda just liked the color scheme more with the light blue jeans instead

I'm not sure how deep I wanna get into backstories for Judy and Casey too since I'm still not sure how spoilery it gets, but for now all I'll say for Judy is she's had a relatively good life regarding family, albeit they weren't entirely supportive of her dreams but they tried since she seemed pretty adamant. She was bullied and teased a bit but it didn't phase her for long, she's the type to turn things like that into motivation to do even better

Welp I suppose it's Casey's turn now :DDD I was originally gonna draw Nick after Judy but y'all know me I can't resist when it comes to Casey-

SO Casey Wilde in case anyone needs a refresher is my own Zootopia OC I made years ago meant to be Nick Wilde's sister

So first change, she's actually Nick's younger sister now, there were some "older-brother younger-sister" tropes I wanted to play around with so I decided to change up their roles for the reboot. As you can probably see, Casey's more preppy now, acts a lot like the pretty mean girl type with the reserved yet confident aura she gives off. She's intimidating, snarky, and sarcastic but that's really just a facade she puts on to avoid anyone getting closer. Once you get to know her, she's actually really sweet and shy and gets flustered easily. Why does she hide that sweeter side? Well can't reveal everything yet now can we :33

Design wise, she's both changed a shit ton and stayed pretty much the same somehow. I mean her fashion style definitely changed and story wise, she makes her own clothes more than she buys. It's easier and cheaper considering the style of clothing she's into is more often found in richer stores than ones she can afford. Her color scheme didn't change much, red fur blue eyes and brown tips, but I added a lil white tip to her tail just cuz it looked cute. I kept her scars and added earrings since they just suit her new aesthetic I gave her. 

Fav part tho, THE EYE SHADOW'S BACK :DDDD

In her very VERRY first design WAAAAAY back in 2016 she used to have purple eyeshadow that I slowly just got rid of since tiny me didn't know how to color theory. But now that I do, I decided to add it back since it also fit with her new vibe and it just feels fun to see that whole design aspect come full circle :>>

Backstory wise, uh no spoilers but it is a bit...r o u g h

Welp I think that's all I'll post about these two for today, I'll get started on Nick and Jack now and I'll post more concept art of my babies when I do em, hope you guys are as excited as I am :DDDD
