No one's POV:

"Everybody is going to the summer camp. But those of you who failed the exams will be taking extra lessons with me while we're there."

The class cheered at Mr Aizawa's words, happy that even the people who had failed would still be attending. You were especially happy. Not that you had failed (you hadn't done much studying at Bakugo's house but still managed to scrape a passing grade) but most of your friends had failed.

"Denki, Mina, Kiri, Sero, I'm so glad you guys get to come!" you said once Aizawa had dismissed the class.

"How did you manage to pass but not me?" groaned Kirishima "I was the one who actually studied! You were too busy kissing Bakugo!"

"You WHAT!?" exclaimed Mina.

"Heh, yeah, I totally did." You snickered.

"Are you guys like a thing now???" she asked, still very confused.

"No, we were playing truth or dare." you explained.

"Oh." said Mina, looking a little disappointed.

"But seriously, did you cheat?" asked Denki.

"What? Who me? Never! I guess me and Bakugo just got all the brains in the Bakusquad." you said nervously, because you may or may not have switched places with Midoriya while Aizawa wasn't looking and memorized some of the answers before switching back, writing them in your test and then threatening to dye Midoriya's hair pink if he told anyone. I guess we'll never know.

"Hey, I passed." reminded Jiro.

"Yes, you're smart too." you said, waving a hand dismissively.

"How did Bakugo react when you kissed him?" asked Mina suddenly.

"Seriously, why do you care so much? It was just a silly game." you said, rolling your eyes.

"Well?"

"He almost blew me up."

"But, like, did he blush? Even a little bit?" she persisted.

"..."

"He did, didn't he!!!" Mina gasped. "I bet he likes you!"

"Mina, anybody would blush a little bit if someone just kissed them without their consent. Don't overthink it."

"I'm just saying-"

Your conversation was cut off by the ringing of the bell and Mina reluctantly went back to her own seat.

*time skip to when they're boarding the bus for summer camp*

"Single file line!" ordered Iida, chopping his arm in the air.

You wondered why he did that. Maybe when he was younger he went to some traumatizing karate lesson or something.

You got onto the bus and started looking for a seat. They were in pairs of two and the only free one you saw was next to... Bakugo.

You kept searching, desperate for a place to sit that wouldn't be in danger of getting blown up during the ride. Kirishima was sitting with Mina, Jiro with Denki, Sero with Ojiro and Uraraka with Midoriya. You barely knew the other people in your class, but even if you were friends with them it wouldn't change the fact that there were no free seats.

You sighed and sat down next to Bakugo, pulling out your earbuds.

"Guess I'm stuck sitting next to you, Boom boom boy."

"Huh!? What's that supposed to mean!?" he said loudly.

"It means this is my last resort." you rolled your eyes.

"Why!? You don't want to sit next to me!?"

"Who would?"

"You'll pay for that, extra!!!" he yelled. Your classmates barely glanced at you. They were so used to Bakugo's yelling it didn't even bother them anymore.

"See what I mean." you muttered.

If it wasn't for the cramped seats of the bus, Bakugo would probably be beating you up right now.

"Bakugo, L/N, be quiet and listen up!" said Aizawa.

You ignored him, instead opting to put in your earbuds and listen to your favorite music. F/S blasted in your ears as Mr Aizawa talked about boring rules or something and you looked out the window at the scenery blurring by.

After a while, you started to feel drowsy and drifted off to sleep in spite of all the noise, made by your classmates.

Bakugo's POV

I tried to ignore the booming voices of the extras trying to sing 'The wheels on the bus'. I was about to yell at them to shut up when I felt a weight on my shoulder.

I shook it off, annoyed. Dimly, I noticed Y/N's head fall forward and almost hit the seat in front.

Oh crap, I thought, reflexively grabbing her shoulders and sitting her up straight.

As I suspected, she was fast asleep. How, I have no idea. Her head rolled again but she didn't wake up.

Stupid extra should have brought a neck pillow.

I carefully moved her head back on my shoulder, cheeks involuntary flushing pink. This time, I didn't shake her off, but let her use my shoulder as a pillow while she napped, avoiding eye contact with Raccoon Eyes as she sneakily took a few pictures.

"Are we there yet?" asked stupid hair loudly. I resisted the urge to yell at him to shut up because Swappy is sleeping.

What was going on with me!? I shouldn't care if she's sleeping!

"Aw, look at Bakugo and Y/N!" said Uraraka.

"Tch. Shut up, Round Face." I said quieter than usual. I would be a hypocrite if I called her Pink cheeks.

I glared at everyone who looked at me, but they didn't seem fazed. Soon we stopped at what seemed like the middle of nowhere and Swappy woke up.

She groggily opened her eyes and patted my shoulder in confusion as if unsure of what it was. Her face flushed red when she realized where she had been sleeping.

"Uh, sorry, Bakugo." she said uncertainly.

"Tch. Whatever."

That seemed to confuse her even more.

"You mean... You're not going to explode me?"

"I didn't say that." I smirked.

"But you didn't push me off of you either." She smiled teasingly and I felt my heart skip a beat.

Your POV

"I've always wondered what it was like to bungee jump without a bungee cord." I muttered, standing up and dusting myself off as the rest of class 1-a did the same.

We had just stopped miles away from the camp, been introduced to a bunch of crazy cat people and then been dumped into this forest to make our way to the camp by ourselves.

Shapes started to emerge from the shadows of the trees.

Oh yeah, and there were monsters. How fun.

I blinked and suddenly I had been surounded by the dirt monsters made by one of the cat lady's quirks. It's not like I could just teleport my way out of this. I mean, I could, but not without putting one of my friends in danger.

"Hey, Swappy, swap with me!" called Bakugo unexpectedly, using his explosions to blast his way into the air and into my line of sight.

A was tempted to say something like: 'No, run! Go on without me! Save yourself!' like they do in action movies before fearlessly sacrificing themselves to save their friends but I wasn't stupid. I knew Bakugo could handle himself and I... could not.

So I swapped places with him. What I didn't think of, however, was the fact that I could not fly.

Bakugo had been propelling himself into the air using his explosions, which I couldn't do, which is why I was going to die.

I gave a very dignified scream as I started to fall towards the hard ground.

I closed my eyes, waiting for impact, when a pair of strong arms caught me.

Bakugo carried me awkwardly to the side as he used his explosions to lessen the force of impact. We hit the ground and stumbled a little.

"Thanks a lot!" I said, wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug.

"Whatever."

We made our way through the forest without any more close calls. Finally we reached the edge of the forest and saw a few of our classmates waiting there for us, along with the Wild Pussycats. The one called Pixie bob noticed us walking together and cooed:

"Aw, look at the love birds!"

We both turned red and Bakugo started yelling at her but all I could think was:

I wish.
