Y/n P.O.V.

30 minutes later...

Y/n: That was refreshing~!

After taking a shower that Trudy prepared for me, I start drying myself off before putting on my clothes. And as I was about to put on my shirt, I notice my phone vibrating a lot.

Y/n: Who could that be?

Grabbing my phone from the counter, I open it up to see it from... my parents.

Y/n: Crap, what do they want now?

Reason I said that is because me and my family never got along since the day I was born. Being the middle child of the family along with being an introvert. I'm considered the black sheep of the family. My older brother and younger sister always received the love from our parents and respected while I was treated like crap. Being forced to do all the chores and cooking around the house while my siblings either played games in their room or go out as I stayed behind.

And by the time I reached the age of 18, I was kicked out of the house with them saying I'm a waste of space. Which is bullshit considering I did all the cooking and cleaning for them after they forced it on me. Nothing less I was happy to be out of that house if it meant I no longer have to deal with their crap. During the first few years after I was kicked out, it was difficult, but I managed to pull through at the end.

So, seeing them trying to contact me after all these years is confusing and ridiculous after they kicked me out of the house in the first place.

Y/n: As much I don't want to answer and just block them, I'm pretty sure they'll do anything to get my attention if it meant messing with my work life.

So, with great hesitation I answered the phone call as I hear my so-called mother on the other end of the call.

Phone call...

Y/n: What do you want?

M/n: Is that anyway to speak to your own mother?

Y/n: Like hell your my mother?! You and everyone in that family kicked me out of the house, the day I turned 18. Not before making me do all the chores and cleaning while treating me like crap for the whole 18 years of my life.

M/n: Yeah, whatever.

Y/n: Why are you even calling me in the first place?

M/n: I heard you got married recently, I wanted to hear if that's true or not.

Y/n: Is true, why do you care?

M/n: Just wondering how much you're paying those women to keep up that act.

Y/n: Is not an act and I'm not paying anyone. I'm actually married.

M/n: Whatever you say but I don't believe what you're saying is true. There is no way someone would marry you.

Y/n: Why do say that?

M/n: Because there's no way you can be better than your siblings.

Y/n: Again with this... you always favored those two because I'm the middle child of the family so you believe I can't succeed in life.

M/n: I mean why do you think parents favor the oldest and youngest than the middle child.

Y/n: Get to the point!

M/n: I want you bring your wives over to our place so we see for ourselves. Hell, maybe one or all of them will change their minds and remarry your brother and sister.

Y/n: Screw off!

M/n: See you tomorrow.

End of Phone call...

After ending the phone call with my mother, I took a seat on the edge of the bed.

Y/n: What I'm going to do?

That when I heard knocking and Trudy's voice on the other side of the door.

Trudy: Y/n, sweetheart can I come in?

Y/n: Sure.

Trudy step inside the room as she closed the door behind her.

Trudy: Is everything ok, Y/n? I heard you talking on the phone with someone.

Y/n: *sigh* It was from my so-called mother. It looks like my family want to see all of us because they don't believe someone like me can be married unlike my siblings.

Trudy: How can she be so cruel to say that to you.

Y/n: They always been like that to me since I can remember, Trudy. My parents and siblings never cared about me because I'm the black sheep of the family or the middle child. They made me do all the work around the house while my brother and sister goofed off.

Trudy walks over and took a seat next to me as she comforted me.

Trudy: I'm sorry to hear that, babe. Now I understand why we never met your parents at the wedding or anytime we were still dating. They're terrible family to treat you like that.

Y/n: This is reason why I'm able to write amazing stories is because of the pain and betrayal I went through when I was young. All I want now is just forget about all of it and move on but how can I do that?

Trudy gently grabs my face making me look at her.

Trudy: It takes time to heal but it also involves with you confronting your past even though it may be painful to relive those terrible moments. Just running away from your problems isn't enough to stop the hurt but dulling your senses and making things worse for yourself.

Y/n: So, you think I should stand up to them and cut ties.

Trudy: Yes, it's the only way you can start moving on with your life. Don't let terrible things that happen to you from back then, held you down because is never good to be stuck in the past. Do you remember how we first met? It happened when I broke up with my fiancé Oscar...

Trudy P.O.V.

Flashback...

I recently broken up with my fiancé, Oscar after I couldn't take it anymore with his selfish behavior and reckless spending. So, feeling heartbroken I decided to get myself something to drink to wash out my sorrows. And that is when I went to this bar where I met you...

I was sitting at the bar counter with a drink in hand as I groan to myself in my regret.

Trudy: I can't believe I dated that guy... a whole year of my life wasted for nothing!

Finishing my drink in one gulp before slamming it down on the counter.

Trudy: Another.

Bar tender: As you wish ma'am.

The bar tender grabbed my empty drink as I continued ranting to myself.

Trudy: I support him for a whole year, but he will never change for the better. In fact, he just got worse thinking he can spend my hard earn money for this stupid idea of his just so he can look better than his old classmate of his.

Bar tender: Your drink ma'am.

Trudy: Thank you.

Taking sip from my drink.

Trudy: I wish I could meet someone who wasn't so selfish and egotistical...

That when I saw you coming out of Jessica changing room, I was surprised by handsome you are that I almost spilled my drink. I got more nervous when you were making your way toward me that I tried my best not to look weird in front of you.

Y/n: Hi, haven't seen you around these parts. Is this your first time at this bar?

Trudy: Y-Yes! I just came here to get something to drink because I had a terrible day. I recently broke up with my fiancé Oscar after we were supposed to get married next month.

Y/n: I'm sorry to hear that...

Trudy: I can't believe I wasted so much time and money on someone like him. I could image myself arguing with him every day because of financial reason or other stuff. I'm just glad I ended things with him before it got worse...

You saw how depress I was from my breakup with Oscar if it was anyone else, they could've taken advantage of me in my state, but you didn't. Instead, you took a seat next to me and comforted me the whole night by talking with me about my failed relationship until I felt better.

End of Flashback...

Trudy: Thats why I want to return the favor on helping you confront your past. Let us help you confront them by your side as a family, YOUR family.

Y/n: Thanks, Trudy.

Trudy: Now, get some rest... me and the girls will join you in bed soon then later we can go out and dinner then watch a movie afterwards.

Y/n: That sound nice.

Y/n soon drifted off to sleeps in my arms, how cute is no wonder I fell in love with him. But I should let the others know about Y/n's family and what they did to him so they can understand what's going to happen tomorrow. I can't believe a family like that could do that to him, someone so sweet and innocent. I'll make sure give them a piece of my mind!
