Aurora was cold. Really cold. It didn't make sense! She was underground! Like, really underground. Lots of miles deep underground! Toriel seemed kind and loving, like a mother. Like a mother Aurora never had before. Sadly, Aurora had to leave the Ruins. She wanted to stay forever. She wanted to be loved and have a mother. But that future couldn't be the one. Aurora knew. How is it even snowing? Aurora thought, her hind paws crunching in the snow. She had to find some boots somewhere.

It was unusual for it to be snowing underground. It was the same thing for all those trees and vines underground. How does the Earth do it? She hadn't gone far before she roamed to a bridge. Is that supposed to be a gate? It's too wide! Is it an archway? Aurora continued and stopped before going past it. This was familiar. Too familiar. She turned, expecting to see somebody. Nothing. No skeleton, like last time. Aurora didn't turn. She walked backwards until she was past the gate. No skeletons. No Sans. No Papyrus.

They've got to be here somewhere, Aurora told herself, continuing towards Snowdin. She felt the red horns form underneath her ears. She was stressed, okay? The aura near Snowdin seemed a bit... off. But there was Sans, in his sentry. Aurora walked up to him and knocked on the counter. This woke the small skeleton up. Sans grinned at the sight of Aurora, "You again? Huh. I wasn't so sure you-" Aurora banged her paw against the counter, cutting Sans off. His eye sockets became wide, "What was that for, kiddo?"

"What's going on?" Aurora asked Sans, "I expected you to meet me at the 'gate' and you weren't there! What about Papyrus!?" Sans closed his eye socket and shrugged. This made Aurora angry, "Sans! Don't you toy around with me! I deserve to know what's going on!" Sans shrugged again, opening his left eye to look at the strange wolf monster. Aurora calmed down, knowing how to mess with Sans. "Is this sentry station connected to the ground?" She asked the skeleton, trying not to show her mischief.

Sans opened both eye sockets, "Nah. None of them are. Wait-" Before Sans could find out what happened, Aurora easily lifted up the station, moving it so Sans was uncovered by it. "Kid, you had no right to do that..." Sans chuckled. Then the small skeleton teleported, causing a bright blue mist to appear then fade. Aurora groaned, and continued towards Snowdin.

The snow here was more soft, muffling Aurora's paw-steps. Sans wasn't at the sentry station there. Grillby's or his house... Those are the places he's most likely to be at. Since Grillby's was closest, Aurora checked there first. The first thing she noticed was the broken window. What the... What happened? Aurora looked through the window, seeing nothing but something red spilled on the floor. It wasn't blood, luckily Aurora could tell. Ketchup, she guessed.

Aurora rushed towards the door and slipped inside, making a small crack with the door so she could have an easy escape. Once she checked the red stain, it was ketchup. "Sans wasn't here..." she mumbled to herself. Aurora heard clattering and growling in the 'Fire Exit.' But when she tried to check, it was locked. Probably 'cause I'm not fire... she thought, then left the bar. Aurora passed the "Librarby," which not only had a bare window sill, but two broken windows and the door torn clean off. Ashes littered the ground, telling Aurora the door was burned.

Aurora rushed towards Sans' and Papyrus' house. She checked the igloo. Melted. Completely gone. What the fuck is going on here? rang through Aurora's mind. Before she went for the door knob, she walked back to examine the cabin. No broken windows. The door was intact. No ashes or scorch marks anywhere near the cabin. It was fine, just like always. Aurora decided to be nice and knocked on the door. No answer. Oh my GOD. Aurora thought, and opened the door. She let it crash closed after she ran inside of the cabin.

"Hello, Wolf-Monster!" came from the kitchen. Oh good, Aurora thought, Papyrus is here. "Why didn't you answer my knock?" She asked, walking into the kitchen. Papyrus stirred something, "I expected it to be Sans with one of his annoying knock-knock jokes. The slam you made nearly made me spill my spaghetti!" Aurora sniffed the air. The aura of hunger and happiness filled her. Papyrus placed the lid on top of the pot. "Why are you here, Aurora? Where's Sans? He's usually with you."

Aurora shrugged, "He teleported. Away. I checked Grillby's but he wasn't there. It was an awful mess instead." Papyrus groaned, passing Aurora on the way to the door. "I'm going to look for him. Call me if he comes here." Papyrus opened the door, letting in the aura of danger which Aurora had felt once she came near Snowdin. Once the door closed and Papyrus was gone, Aurora tried to wave the aura away. The happy aura was gone. The danger would not leave her.

The wolf monster allowed her bright red horns to disappear. Snowdin forest... went into her mind. It was strange how quickly the danger gave her an idea. Snowdin forest is full of different auras. Maybe you can find a good one. Don't you think? Aurora nodded, leaving the once happiness-filled cabin and into Snowdin forest. The snow was thinner and softer, like the pillows in the Ruins.

Auras of danger flooded through the colorful wolf's mind. Sometimes she found auras of peace and happiness. But those weren't from the forest. They were coming from something else. Something in this forest. Not a something. Most likely a someone.
