Barry: So, I'm guessing that ring is your Miraculous, and you're this Cat Noir person, right?

Adrien: WHAT?!

Adrien looks around. Making sure nobody heard him.

Adrien: How did you find that out?!

A look of shock comes across Barry's face.

Barry: Oh, was I not supposed to know? My bad.
But I couldn't help but notice that you and Cat Noir seem to have the same ring design.

Adrien glaces at his ring.

Adrien: What other secrets do you know about?

Barry: Oh, just the disappearing cheese, your little kwami friend. Oh, and that Marinette is crushing on you, and doesn't know how to tell you.

Adrien: Oh.

Barry: Seriously, you guys are totally made for each other!
I know you might not believe Alya when she says it, but believe me, it's true and clear as day. I'm pretty sure the only person who doesn't see it, is you.

Adrien: (Sigh) If I didn't love Ladybug, maybe I would give Marinette a chance. But if only Ladybug would just give me a chance.

Adrien sighs dejectedly. Barry nods as he places a hand on Adrien's shoulder.

Barry: I understand, Adrien.

He looks past Adrien, seeing a lone girl with long brown hair, and green eyes, wearing an orange jacket.

Barry: Say, who's the girl in the orange jacket over there?
I don't think I've met her yet.

Adrien looks over at Lila sitting on a bench reading a book.

Adrien: Oh, her? That, would be Lila Rossi.

Barry: She's the second newest student here?
Let me guess, she's the mean girl of the school?

Marinette overhears and walks up to the duo.

Marinette: Not really, being the mean girl is Chloe's job.
Lila's the one you can't trust for one second.

Barry: Why not?

Marinette: Because she lies through her teeth to get what she wants. She is not to be trusted.

Barry: Come on, don't you think you're exaggerating a little? I mean, I know I'm the new student here.
But look at her, she doesn't look that deceitful.

Marinette: You're right, you don't know her like I do.
But you'll see, and don't say I didn't warn you.

Barry looks back at Adrien, and he just shrugs.

Unaware that Lila overheard the whole conversation,
Marinette walks away.

Lila closes her book, gets up, and walks over to Barry.

Lila: Um, Excuse me, Barry, is it?

Barry: Yeah, you must be Lila.

Lila: Yes, uh, can I speak to you alone?

Barry: Sure.

They walk back to the bench.

Barry: Well?

Lila: I-I just want you to know... whatever Marinette told you. She was lying!

Barry looks at Lila puzzled.

Barry: O...kay? Well, she said that you were the type of girl who lies through their teeth to get what they want, that you can't be trusted, but not much else.

Lila: (Scoffs) Well, that's nothing new, she can't stand me!

Barry: Well, I'll have to speak to Marinette about that, but I don't see why she would say something like that.

Lila: Because she keeps calling me a liar and pinning everything on me! She's done this since I first started at this school!

Barry: Well, I've only been here for a couple of days, so I'm not entirely sure if you being a liar is true or not.

Lila's tense expression softens up.

Lila: Oh. Then, why haven't you come over to talk to me?

Barry: It's not that I didn't want to talk to you, I just wanted to meet everyone else.

Lila: So, you're saying you don't like me! Is that what this is about?!

Barry: What? No no, but frankly, you called me here Lila, not the other way around.

Lila's demeanor quickly turns sour.

Lila: I understand it now, that liar Marinette is trying to turn you against me! Isn't she?!

Barry maintains his calm demeanor, not letting himself be intimidated by Lila.

Barry: Look, Lila. I'm not trying to offend you. I'm just trying to adjust to being a new student here, but you're not trying to make it any easier by jumping to conclusions.

Barry: Now, I'm going back to talking with the others, and at least attempt to let you cool down.

Barry starts to walk off, but stops and turns back to Lila.

Barry: And Lila, if you ever need someone to talk to, for whatever reason. My door's always open.

Barry walks off and Lila stares after him, bewildered, and sits back down on her bench.

Lila (TB): "He's pretty good.
I wonder what I could do to get him on my side, hmm."
