Prologue

She woke up in a confused manner. Am I alive? she thought to herself. I Thought everything would be gone by now.

Marinette's mother waked up to her. "Hi, sweetie. Welcome to limbo. We're waiting for someone to bring us back. We're not done with life yet."

She looked at her mom and hugged her. "I missed you," Mari replied. "I'm so sorry for going about getting you back in a way you guys would hate."

"You understand that it is wrong. That's what matters." Tom replied. "We're about to leave, Mari. Get ready. It'll feel like falling."

"What?" she asked.

They all felt a falling sensation before waking up.

Marinette opened her eyes quietly and saw her parents standing next to her hospital bed with Cat Noir. "M-Mom. Dad? Kitty?" she asked

"Princess, I'm so glad you're back." Chat whispered. "We all missed you."

"Chat, I don't understand." she replied. "How are we back?"

"We used the wish to bring you three back." he answered. "You're being given a second chance at life.

Mari looked at him. "I'm so sorry for betraying you."

He smiled sadly. "No you're not. You would do anything to save the people you love. Even betray everyone else. But that's okay. Everything is good now.

She hugged him. "I really am sorry that I went too far. B-but what about the price of bringing us back?"

"We don't know," he answered gently. "It could be anyone. The only person we know for sure is Gabriel Agreste."

Her eyes widened. "Adrien's father? But... doesn't that mean h-he's alone now?"

Chat Noir nodded. " He's okay. I promise. Adrien will be okay."

She shook her head. "He lost his only other parent." she mumbled.

Chat held her hand. "That's not important." He paused. "You're going to be in a menta health center for a bit so you can get help fo your mental health." He explained. "They don't know anything except that you tried to commit... and that you're Ladybug."

She looked at him. "I... okay." she responded. "I understand."

"I also have your miraculous. You can have it back when they let you out. I'll come visit you every day." He promised.

"Thank you." she mumbled back. "I don't deserve you."
