Up on the roof of the Grand Palais, Ladybug and Cat Noir were running up to one of the access hatches of the building.

"If we can destroy that bird call, we'll be able to capture the akuma," Ladybug explained as they reached the hatch, which was conveniently right behind Mr Pigeon, allowing them the element of surprise.

"You open the window, I'll grab him and yank him up onto the roof, then you snag his bird call away from him," the spotted superhero explained as Chat Noir crouched down to the latch on the roof hatch.

"Let's go, early bird gets the worm!" Chat Noir quipped, opening the skylight as Ladybug got ready to attack.

A draft of air sends feathers at his face, making him sneeze, and Ladybug missed Mr Pigeon when she threw her yo-yo. After the failed attempt, the akuma turned around to see the flabbergasted heroes above him.

"So much for the element of surprise," Ladybug remarked as her yo-yo returned to her. The two of them jumped inside, and land on the walkway Mr. Pigeon was on, right before he jumped to the ground and let the pigeons break his fall.

The heroes leapt off of the walkway and land on the ground, rolling into a run, as they chased Mr. Pigeon until he sounded his bird call. The pigeons flew to him, forming two spheres around his hands.

"Deedly-dee dee, come closer, I have a bone to peck with you," Mr Pigeon sang, ready to fight.

"I'd be honored," Chat Noir answered, right before Mr. Pigeon hit him and Ladybug back towards the cage with his pigeon weights.

"Get us out of here, Ladybug!" An entrapped park ranger exclaimed from the cage, as she got back onto her feet, with Mr. Pigeon advancing.

Seeing no other option, Ladybug pulls out her yo-yo and summons her...

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug cries out, summoning her powers, which gave her a...loaf of bread?

'Finally! A straightforward Lucky Charm!' Ladybug gushed in her thoughts. A second afterwards, she looked ahead of her and saw Mr Pigeon continued to advance on them, forming a giant flock.

"You can't bribe yourself out of here!" Mr. Pigeon threatened before he threw the sphere of pigeons at them.

Immediately, Ladybug started running towards him, but then slid on the ground and under his legs, used her yo-yo to wrap around his left ankle. She then got up to her feet, ran until she was under the beam she spotted, and then jumped up to a pillar to pushed herself up to the beam, grabbed it, made like an acrobat, and swung herself to the top of the beam, and back down, making a pulley.

Ladybug then dropped back to the ground and ran to a rubbish bin at the far end, and started digging through it. Her searching was rewarded when she found what she was looking for... a plastic bag. Tearing up the loaf of bread, she puts the pieces into the bag, tied it off, and turned to look back at her partner.

"Chat Noir!" Ladybug shouted out, causing the feline hero, and Mr Pigeon to turn and look at her. Chat Noir then got back to his feet, just before Ladybug had thrown the bag in the air.

When he saw what she was up to, Chat Noir threw his staff right at the airborne bag, which popped it open, showering the contents onto Mr Pigeon, much to the villain's surprise.

"Snack time, pigeons!" Ladybug proclaimed, as the pigeons went after the bread, landing on him.

"No!" Mr Pigeon cried out as the birds turned on him, favoring the bread over obedience.

Ladybug took advantage of the villain's distracted state, and pulls on her yo-yo, lifting Mr. Pigeon up into the air and hanging from the beam the yo-yo string was wrapped around, allowing his bird call to fall to the ground.

"My bird call! Nooo!" The pigeon man exclaimed as more pigeons surrounded him, trying to get the remaining popcorn on him.

"Cat Noir, grab it!" Ladybug shouted as she kept holding onto the yo-yo string, keeping Mr Pigeon up in the air. Chat Noir followed through, and grabbed it, but then he sneezed and threw it upward by accident.

'Curse his allergies,' Ladybug thought before running to get it, dropping Mr. Pigeon. When Cat Noir recovers from his sneeze, he runs toward the bird call too, just before Mr Pigeon lands on the ground and also runs for it.

They all lunge for the bird call, and all manage to get to it, with Mr. Pigeon's hand landing on it first, then Cat Noir's, then Ladybug's. Seeing their advantage, Chat Noir used his hand to break the bird call by throwing it on top of Mr Pigeons, smashing the brid call to pieces.

"Yes!" Ladybug exclaimed as she got to her feet, proud of her partner's initative. Chat Noir then got to his feet, while Mr. Pigeon faints.

A second later, the akuma flew out of the broken bird call, causing Ladybug to pull out her yo-yo.

"No more evil for you!" Ladybug cheered as she caught the butterfly in her yoyo's pool of cleansing energy.

"Now, Miraculous Ladybug!" With another whoosh, the workers were returned to their parks and everything was quickly fixed, even the broken bird call.

"Huh? What happened? Where am I?" Xavier questioned, looking around confused, while Ladybug and Chat Noir stood nearby.

"Pound it!" The two heroes cheered as they fist bumped, feeling proud of themselves for taking care of another supervillain.

Meanwhile in Hawkmoth's lair, the so called mastermind was not feeling very happy that he was once again defeated.

"Wretched pigeons, wretched Ladybug. I'll destroy every one of you!" Hawkmoth griped as the lair window closed, leaving him in total darkness as the white butterflies flustered around him. Unknown to him, this would only be the first of many akumatizations of Mr Ramier.

A while later, the young designer managed to get back to her home with only 58 minutes left to work on her hat.

"There's no time to lose. I have less than an hour," Marinette frantically exclaimed as she glided into her swivel chair, and kept working on her hat.

The time flew by, and when Marinette was finally done, she only had three minutes left to get to the school for the competition. She gently put the hat into a hat box, and raced out the door to make it on time.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over at Collège Françoise Dupont, everyone was getting ready to present their hats. Alya tried calling Marinette but she didn't respond.

"Where is that girl?" Alya wondered as Nathalie entered and approached Mr Damocles, along with Adrien and Nino.

"Hello, Mr. Damocles, I am Mr. Agreste's executive assistant Nathalie," Nathalie introduced, while Mr Damocles was confused when he didn't see Mr Agreste anywhere with her.

"Hello, miss. Pardon me, but where is Mr. Agreste?" Mr Damocles asked.

Nathalie held up a tablet, answering the principal's question as it revealed the fashion designer on the screen.

"I'm here," Mr Agreste said, looking bored already (though really he was brooding about his defeat).

"Ah, uh, hello Mr. Agreste. Welcome to our school," Mr Damocles greeted uncertainly.

"Adrien, take Nathalie around," Mr Agreste instructed, and like the dutiful son he was, Adrien obeyed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Chloé noticed that the fashion designer had 'arrived' and was starting the judging.

"Ah, there's Mr. Agreste! He's coming this way," Chloé exclaimed, before composing herself and posing, with Sabrina following suit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr. Damocles, Nathalie were led by Adrien, to see Juleka and Rose's hat, which seemed to have a steampunk theme to it.

"As you'll see, Mr. Agreste, our students have poured their hearts and souls into their projects." Mr Damocles explained, just as Marinette rushes in and carries her box over to Alya with Adrien noticing as she rushe past him.

As soon as she placed the hat box onto the pedestal, she let out a sigh of relief. She made it.

"Where have you been?! You got your hat?" Alya questioned, as Marinette straightened up. She had run all the way over, despite being just across the street.

"Yep, here," Marinette sighs out, right before she takes off the hat box from the pedestal, revealing her feathered creation. Alya marvels at it, but then her expression darkens, confusing Marinette.

"What?" Marinette asked, wondering why Alya seemed so upset.

"But, it's the same as Chloé's," Alya said, causing a painc in Marinette.

"What?!" Marinette exclaimed, right before she looked over at Chloé as the judges walked over to see her hat... an exact copy of Marinette's!!!

"Uh, hi Mr. Agreste. I'm Chloé Bourgeois. You know my father, André Bourgeois, the mayor?" Chloé greeted the judges, much to Marinette's rage.

"Ugh, that thieving little brat!" Marinette growled out, seething as she glared at the thieving girl, while Alya was worried for her best friend.

"Do you want me to take care of it?" Alya asked, placing a comforting hand onto Marinette's shoulder.

"I think I can handle this," Marinette reassured with a smirk as she crossed her arms. If Chloé's hat was an exact copy of hers, then she would have no problem with setting the record straight.

The judges then move on from Chloé and Sabrina, and finally reach Marinette's hat. Immediately, Mr Agreste could see something was up.

"Hm, turn the tablet back to Ms. Bourgeois' hat," The designer requested, making Nathalie follow his command and turn back to see the other hat, seeing that the two were identical.

"Is this a joke?" Mr Agreste questioned, not finding the situation funny at all.

"No fair! Marinette copied my design! It's scandalous, how could you do that?" Chloé wailed, not even putting in any effort to sound sincere as she fake cries. But Marinette continued to keep her cool, and decided to make her move.

"I apologize for the situation Mr. Agreste, but I can prove that this derby hat is MY original design," Marinette reassured, channeling her inner Ladybug to boost her confidence.

Thankfully, it worked and Nathalie turned the tablet back towards her, while Chloé snapped out of her fake crying to see what she had up her sleeve.

"Go ahead," Mr Agreste said, giving Marinette the floor to defend herself and her work as she picked up her hat from the pedestal.

"Um, everything on my derby hat is hand-made-- from the embroidery, to the weaving of the band, to the stitching of the brim," Marinette explained, while she pointed to every detail she mentioned, making Chloé recoil.

"All done by myself. And last, there's a special design element that only the true designer knows about: I signed mine," The young designer continued as she turned her hat upside down and revealed the hidden signature in the gold detailing.

A second afterwards, Chloé stepped back in shock, and knocked over her derby hat stand. Everyone turned to look, and it showed Marinette's signature as well.

"Daddy!" Chloé bawled out as she ran out of the school crying. Once she was gone, Nathalie once again turned the tablet back toward Marinette.

"Very exquisite creation. You definitely have the laboring hands of a hat maker, miss..." Mr Agreste trailed off since he didn't know her name. Thankfully, Adrien helped him out with that detail.

"Marinette," Adrien introduced as he put his hand on Marinette's shoulder, feeling proud of his friend.

"Congratulations on your demonstration, Miss Marinette. You're the winner," Mr Agreste announced, offering the closest thing to a smile he could manage. Marinette gasped in happiness.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Marinette repeated, ending each 'thank you' with a bow in her excitement.

"Adrien will wear your derby on our next advertising campaign," Mr Agreste explained, just before Adrien put his hands over hers as they held onto the hat. Immediately, she gasped and blushed in response.

'HE's touching me! He's touching my handsI nevereverhe'stouchingmyHANDS!' Marinette squealed in her head.

"Awesome job, Marinette," Adrien congratulated, making her blush and smile even wider. Adrien then begins to put on the derby hat but suddenly starts to sneeze, much to Marinette and Alya's surprise.

"A-achoo!" Adrien sneezed, before he wiped his nose with his hand, and then noticed Marinette and Alya were watching.

"Uh-- sorry, I'm allergic to feathers," Adrien explained, right before he sneezed again.

'Allergies are just a part of life, I guess.' "Gesundheit!" Marinette said with a smile, right before the poor boy sneezed again, and waves at her as he walked away, feeling very kind of drowsy from his sneezing.

When he was far enough away, Alya and Marinette looked at each other in excitement, before it soon became too much for Marinette to contain.

"Woo-hoo!" Marinette cheered out as she jumped up into the air in celebration. This was the best day of her life!!!

(Time skip)

In Arcadia, Jim and Toby were arriving early to school, ready to start the day, just as Jim's phone buzzed. The boy pulls it out as he and Toby walk towards the bike racks to lock them up.

"Is that the Parisian news?" Toby asked, just as he pulled out his bike lock and wrapped it around the bike wheel.

"Looks like it. Wonder what the akuma chaos is this time," Jim said as he copied Toby's action before opening up his phone to the Parisian News app. Toby walked over and stood next to Jim, looking over his shoulder at the app, but to their shock they saw articles about an akuma named...

"Mr. Pigeon?" The two boys questioned, while Jim put his bag back on as they walked to a bench nearby.

"That has to be a coincidence. There is no way," Toby denied, not believing that they and Marinette had predicted an akuma's name, years beforehand.

They sat down on the bench to look at the photos of the akuma provided.

"I think it is him. The articles say that this akuma was using pigeons to take over the city," Jim revealed, shocking Toby.

"Are you freaking kidding me?" Toby asked, as Jim used his thumb to scroll down to a video of the attack that day.

"It's crazy, I know. We better watch it," Jim said, excited to see the videos of the akumatized Mr. Ramier.

"Sounds good," Toby agreed as Jim clicked on the video, ready to see what had happened in Paris during what was sure to be a... interesting akuma attack.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Time Skip)

Back over in Paris, night had fallen and once again Marinette was at her desk, in her pajamas and about to call her brothers. She was sure that they saw the news by now, and were probably dying to know her side of the story.

So without further delay, she opened up her computer, clicked on the video call app like she had many nights in the past, and waited for Jim to answer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jim and Toby were just getting out of history with Strickler, and had already watched the videos of the akuma attack during their time before school. And to say that they found the irony hilarious... was an understatement.

"I honestly think the three of us are psychic. I mean, since magic exists, it wouldn't be totally out of the realm of possibility," Toby rambled.

"I'm not entirely sure about that, Tobes. It just seems like a coincidence," Jim argued as they walked to the bike racks, and sat down. Not even a second later, Jim's phone buzzed, making him grab it and see Marinette was calling them.

"Looks like we'll now have our recap/update," Toby remarked as he opened his bag and pulled out his lunch of a Sloppy Joe sandwich, extra napkins, an apple, and mini chocolate chip cookies, with Jim doing the same.

As soon as they were settled, Jim opened up the video call, making Marinette appear on the screen, smiling at them.

"Hi boys, how are you?" Marinette asked, with the boys simply bursting at the seams with questions, and the need for answers.

"Please don't tell me that we predicted Mr. Pigeon's villain name years in advance," Toby exclaimed immediately after Marinette greeted them.

"Hello to you too, Tobes. And yes, I think we did. Kind of ironic when you think about it," Marinette remarked, thinking how weird and kind of cool it was that they predicted the latest villain's name. It was kind of spooky.

"Yeah, it is," Jim agreed as he started to dig into his Sloppy Joe, with Toby doing the same, although a little more messy. Hey, the boy's cooking was delicious, of course he would be a little messy.

"You think? I still say we are psychic," Toby stated, his mouth smeared with sauce.

"I don't think that's the case, but are you guys ready for the more exciting side of the story?" Marinette asked, already knowing that the boys would say...

"YES!!! OF COURSE!!" The two of them said, causing Marinette to smile, while they dug into more of their lunch.

"Okay, so starting off after we last chatted, I had gone home, and created the pigeon feather derby hat. But after it was nearly complete, I then realized that I had forgotten to pick up a pigeon feather from the park for the hat, and raced back to get one," Marinette began, telling the boys about her slip up with the pigeon feather, running back to Trocadero, and finding out Mr. Ramier had been akumatized. But when she told them about what happened when meeting up with Chat Noir, her brothers couldn't contain their laughter.

"What's so funny?" She asked, not understanding why the two were laughing so hard.

"What's funny is that your partner–who is a cat, which is known to eat birds–is allergic to feathers," Toby manages to explained as he wiped away a stray tear from his eyes, Jim doing the same.

"You have to admit, it's kind of funny, when you think about it," Jim pointed out as he caught his breath, clutching onto his sides as he tried to calm down, while Marinette giggled in response. They were right, it was kind of funny.

"Okay, yeah it's a little funny. Anyways, so we set up a trap..." Marinette continued, finishing the akuma part of the story, while Jim and Toby finished their lunches.

"That's great. Though, that had to be a very hilarious akuma to deal with," Toby remarked, laughing himself silly, as he went into his bag of mini cookies.

"Not so much fun for me and Chat, but it was kind of funny in hindsight," Marinette admitted. It was a pigeon overlord... how could she not find it a little funny after everything was all said and done.

"Speaking of fun, how was the derby hat competition?" Jim asked as Toby pulled out his own cookies and they started to eat them, while a smile soon bloomed on their sister's lips.

"It was amazing!! I won!" Marinette said, bringing smiles to her brother's faces.

"We knew you could do it! But we do have to know... was there any trouble?" Toby asked as he and Jim finished half of the cookies, since... Marinette always had a tendency to get into trouble.

"Well, Chloé did try to steal my design, but I managed to prove that it was mine. Thankfully, it didn't escalate into anything bad," Marinette responded, not seeing how her brother's faces had shock all over them.

The way she said that...

'Just how much was going on that Chloé stealing her designs is not even something she cares about?' Jim thought to himself

"And you're not mad at her?" Jim asked, to which Marinette rolled her eyes at the comment.

"Of course I'm mad at her!! How can I not be!? But in the end, I managed to prove her to be a thief, and won the contest. That seems fair to me," Marinette admitted, which brought a smile of relief to the two boy's faces as they finished the cookies.

"Thank goodness. For a minute there, we thought that you might be just sweeping this under the rug," Toby said, causing Marinette's eyes to widen in surprise.

"Um, when am I not mad at something Chloé has done wrong. I'm just trying to be the bigger person here," Marinette explained, just as the bell rang for lunch to end, much to Toby's disappointment.

"Aw man, I wanted to hear more!!" Toby complained with a groan before he began packing his bag up, Jim doing the same.

"Looks like we got to go, Mari. We'll talk to you tonight," Jim said, turning to the phone as he packed his bag.

"That's okay. I've got to go to sleep anyway. Talk to you guys later," Marinette responded, stifling a yawn with her hand, while Toby turned back to the phone to join back up with the conversation.

"Hope Hawkmoth doesn't send another night akuma," Toby remarked, as he stood up from the ground, with Jim following, standing next to him as they looked at Marinette.

"Ha, ha, very funny. Okay, night guys. See you tomorrow," Marinette said as she waved them goodbye.

"Bye Marinette," The boys replied, waving back before the screen turned black.

"Sounds like things are getting very interesting over in Paris. Seriously, I didn't think that we would have guessed an akuma name," Toby repeated, as Jim puts his phone back into his bag, and they walk towards their next class of the day.

"Okay, Tobes I get it. It's freaky. But it was a one time thing. I doubt it will happen again," Jim groans in exasperation, before he starts to walk towards Home Ec, and Toby towards French.

"See you later, Jimbo." Toby said, as they parted ways, eager to end the day on a high note.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back over in Paris, Marinette was having some trouble falling asleep. She tried to get her mind to calm down, but she couldn't. She soon gave up, and then spotted her sketchbook, remembering the design she had done earlier. The competition was over... so she now had time to start it.

So without hesitation, she grabbed her sketchbook and opened it up to see the 'Geode Design' clear as day in the pages of the book. Grabbing a pencil, Marinette turned to a new page, and started to redraw the design. The original hat was a little too fancy for day-to-day use, but she would design that for Toby so he could wear that for a special occasion. And so she started to draw out a more casual version of it.

She had the weekend to flesh out the design, so why not start right now.
