Marinette hears the siren to the ambulance quiet down as it arrives at the hospital. She gets out and watches as they take Adrien away from her. She follows them. She sits in a chair alone.

The dead silence in the waiting room is unbearable. She looks up when a familiar person speaks up.

       "How is Adrikins?"

      "Chole, but I thought..."

"I know, but my father says I should not be angry with you. It is not your fault."

         Marinette nods her head.

Chole takes a seat beside Marinette. She sighs. She knows it is true they have more in common than she wishes to admit. Goodness, who knew they would both fall in love with the same boy?

Plagg burst through the door just then.  "Where is he?  Where is my stepbrother?"

"He  is still with the doctor."  Marinette feels her voice crack.

"Oh, then I will wait here with you two gorgeous ladies then."

Marinette rolls her eyes in annoyance at Plagg's attempt to flirt with her.

Chole laughs.   "Ah, Plagg, you are too kind."

Ding, ding...Plagg's phone goes off as he gets a text message.

         Plagg checks it and blushes.

           Marinette grins.

          Chole frowns.

"It is from Tikki, my  ex-girlfriend." Plagg states.

           "Oh, what is it say?"

"Chole, he does not have to say if he does not want to."

Plagg smirks. He reads the text.

          Tikki's text to Plagg...

Sugarcube, I realize I made a mistake. I never should have broken up with you. I miss you. Please forgive me. I love you!

"Wow, that is so sweet!"  Marinette squeals.

"Sweet, that is ridiculous utterly ridiculous," Chole scowls.

Plagg texts Tikki back to let her know he loves her and wants to give her a second chance.

The doctor enters the waiting area now.  "Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"

         "Yes?"

"The patient Adrien Agreste asks to see you."

          "Thank you, doctor."

            "You are  welcome,  follow me."

           "What about me?"

"He just asked for her," The doctor remarks. Then walks away.

Chole pouts at the news.  She can not believe Adrien refuses to see her.

           "Hi, A-Adrien."

             "Hi, Marinette."

"Have the doctors said anything important to you?"

            "Mari, doctors can not help."

           "What do you mean?"

Adrien sighs.  "If I love someone I die."

"No, you have to stay. You have too."

"Mari, it is okay, I can die happy."

Marinette shakes her head. "You do not get it do you?"

                "Get what?" He asks weakly.

"I can not let you die. I  need you."

                   "Shh, Mari, I..."

Marinette lets him tuck some loose hair behind her ears. She grabs his hand.

Adrien mutters, "I will be happy when I die because I met you."

                   "No, Adrien!"

                   "I love you, M-Marinette Dupain-Cheng!"

Marinette stands up and kisses him with tears in her eyes.

"I love you, too, silly boy."

Marinette pulls away and turns around. She goes to look out the window.  The sun is still out as if it does not know how glum the day is right now.

"Beep, beep, beep..." The machine goes crazy.

Marinette runs over to him.  "Please, I beg you. Stay, stay for me. I love you, Adrien Agreste!"

She places her head on his chest and refuses to leave him. She closes her eyes out of grief and fear.
