James POV:

So far I only have five signatures. How am I supposed to get this thing to start if there's no one that wants to join?! I sigh and head up to the owlery to send a letter to my dad, asking him how he got so many people to join.

After writing the note, I walked up to the owlery to get my owl, Bolt. The path to the owlery was very pretty, especially in the winter. There was what seemed like the perfect amount of snow on the ground. The pine trees were crisp and had a light amount of ice on them.

When I got there, I found my Eagle Owl in it's regular spot among all of the other owls. Being well trained, he automatically flew to me once he saw me with it's keen eyesight. I wrapped the scroll on his ankle and handed him a treat that I had put into my pocket.

As I watched Bolt fly into the distance, I saw through my peripheral that there was someone behind me. I flung around then saw that it was Halle getting out her owl.

"Oh, it's you, I thought that it was someone trying to kill me," I greeted her.

"Why would someone ambush you in a towerful of birds of prey that are trying to sleep?" She asked.

I thought for a moment.

"Good point, this is why I am not a Ravenclaw and you are."

She shook her head and turned her attention back to her owl.

"What are you doing here?" I asked casually.

"What does it look like?" She snapped.

I frowned. When did she get so ornery? She's always so nice! Maybe she didn't get enough sleep last night.

"I haven't seen you in awhile, where have you been?" I decided to chance the topic.

"It's not that I have gone anywhere, it's you who's been busy fawning over Ally Hart."

I got taken back. How did she know about that? Did Louis tell her? If he did... I put in so much effort to making sure that there was no possible way for her to find out. I didn't want her know for the sake of her hating me. I don't control feelings! It's not my fault that I have serious crushes on both of them! Why are emotions so complicated? Now she is probably pissed at me.

"Out of curiosity, How the heck do you know that?!"

"I have my ways."

"Louis told you, didn't he?"

"That's not the point, why in the world are you fawning over a freaking lying, cruel, traitor!?!?!"

Sheesh, she really is bothered by this, isn't she?

"What are you talking about? She's one of the sweetest girl one could ever know!"

"Your joking, right?" She asked.

"No, I'm not," I shot back.

She stared at me like I was stupid.

"I guess I should have known that she would use you like this."

"Use me like what?"

"Ask her if these words sound familiar. 'It's okay if you leave, I don't care. You always were too different for us anyway. You always were a stupid half-blood.'"

"Did she say that to you?"

"Yes, and those wounds still haven't healed. Go on, ask her. She will be in the library in five minutes. Better hurry."

I walked out of the owlery, wondering how this would turn out...

Halle's POV:

That felt good to get out. He will now see that Ally Hart is a filthy, dirty, back-stabber. I gave my letter to my to my owl, Owlbus Dumbledore, and walked to the Ravenclaw Common Room.

I was grateful that the Common Room has its own personal library, I needed to just sit and read, without going to the library. I selected my personal favorite, Tales of Beedle the Bard. I know it's supposed to be a child's book, but it has always been a beloved book to me.

I read the first story, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot. Following that one was The Fountain of Fair Fortune. One of the main characters in the book, Amata, I can very much relate to.

'The third, by name Amata, had been deserted by a man she loved dearly, and thought her heart would never mend. She hoped the Fountain would relive her of her grief and longing.'

I can relate to that for sure. As I read on I found the part that always surprises me, no matter how many times I read it.

'As the sun fell below the horizon, Sir Luckless emerged from the water with the glory of his triumph upon him, and flung himself in his rusted armour at the feet of Amata, who was the kindest and most beautiful woman he had ever beheld. Flushed with success, he begged for her and and her heart, and Amata, no less delighted, realized that she had found a man worth of them.'

That would be nice. Maybe I should take a thing from this book. Maybe it's telling me to ditch the 'man I love dearly' and find my own Sir Luckless. I wonder. I set the book back on the shelf and started to do my homework.

James POV:

Argh. I am very... lets just say displeased with a certain seer who's name I don't want to mention. She is very feisty. I do not want to talk to Ally right now. I was with her in the Room of Requirement until midnight last night. I wanted to spend my Saturday with seer who I won't mention, but she had to be a little sesquipedalian (Yes, that's a word, it's Doms word for Gracie), and kick me out.

I pushed open the doors to the library and saw Ally at a desk in the corner. She tilted her head towards me and her face lit up.

"What are you doing here James! Louis told me you were in the owlery, but you were going to be about an hour."

"Did he really?" I said, through gritted teeth.

"Yeah, I thought you were hiding from me after we had such a great night last night!"

"Oh... Yeah... I am exhausted from that."

"We should do it again tonight!"

"Ummm No offense, but I don't think that my minimal hours of sleep can take it again."

"Awwww, but I enjoy talking to you."

"Ummm sure, that's not why I am here though."

"You didn't want to talk to me?" She asked, obviously offended.

"Well of course I did," I said quickly, "But there's something specific that I need to talk to you about."

"Okay.... What is it?"

"Do you know Halle Swan?"

"Yeah... She's SUCH a sweet girl..." She failed to lie.

"Anyway..." I hesitated, "She said that you and her were friend when you to were kids. She said you grew up together."

"Were friends? You must have heard her wrong... We still are friends!" She said sweetly.

'She sure didn't make it out that way...' I thought.

"She said that you called her a filthy half-blood..."

"I would never... Oh look, there's some people who need to talk to me... I'd better go!" She said nervously.

I followed her out to find Rivers and Weasley behind me, soaking wet and Louis's face flushed bright red. They beckoned for me to come and talk to them. Great. The last thing I need right now is to talk to THOSE two.
