Hi! This is my very first entry in this journal! So I'm going to start out with a little about myself! My name is Gracie Rivers and I'm turning eleven next April (today is in February). My best friend Halle is coming over later and I can't wait! Hold on I think that's her now.... see ya!

Halle knocks and I open the door but she's not doing anything. She's just standing there staring at nothing. She finally comes in and she looks at me confused.

"Umm Halle are you alright? You were just standing at the door as if you were in a trance. I didn't know what to do!"

She shows a slight sliver of fear on her face as she reassured me she's fine so I grab her hand and start to walk her into my house when my vision starts going hazy and Halle's face falls completely. She walks back to her house staring blankly at nothing in particular and I walk back inside.

Gracie, was that Halle at the door?

I walk past her brushing her hand with my arm and say nothing but she just closes her eyes and walks away. I go upstairs and take a nap. When I awoke, I felt as if I had forgotten a very important thing in my life.

I look at the clock and see the time. What?! Joe did I sleep in so long?! I go to my desk and start doing my homework but I can't seem to find the answer to this science problem and the next thing you know my pencil starts moving on its own erasing and writing the correct answers.

"What the...." I say backing up.
