She pleaded him but he did not stop. She had gone to his office but he did not have time for her. Had she done anything so wrong that veer had just discarded her from his life like this. She had messaged him for which he had very casually replied back that he needed time to digest the fact that she had a side of her which was not perfect.
" I don't know you mishti , you are not the one I have known all along " he had replied back on her birthday before leaving her.
She sudden felt her face wet, she realized that tears had been spilling out of her eyes all along which she wiped quickly.
" mishti " radhika called her only to find her sitting in the corner wiping her tears.
" what happened beta? " radhika asked her when Mishti hugged her and started sobbing.
" am I too bad Dadi? " mishti asked between her sobs.
" nahi beta, your my mauli's child. You can never been bad " radhika answered as she consoled mishti.
It did not take long time for her to figure out that it was veer's behavior which was hurting mishti . She could not comprehend veer's behavior, Ruhaan had forgiven mishti but Why Was veer taking too much time to reconcile with her. It should have been Ruhaan who should have thrown tantrums but not veer.

Radhika pondered over for a minute before she spoke her next words.
" mishti break this engagement if you feel veer is not capable enough to handle you" her Dadi's words shook her off.
" dadi " mishti's voice broke.
" mishti go to veer and tell him that you want to work after marriage. You can't act to please his mom and fake your choices and you want equality for everything in the marriage " radhika demanded mishti.
Mishti was left confused with radhika's sudden demands. Why? All of sudden.
Sensing her granddaughter's confusion, radhika spoke " you believe your father left your mother because your mother had a career no mishti that is not truth. Your father left your mother because he could not handle your mom's strong side, he was not a man enough to accept the fact that his wife has a equal career as his. He was not in love with Nandini but was attracted to her because she was weak unlike your mother she worshipped your father and depended on him. Mauli did suffer a lot but she finally found ishaan who loved her with all her flaws and accepted her. He never said mauli to drop down her career, he always encouraged her so mishti don't even think of giving up your career for a man who can't handle your success "

Her grandmother's words left her confused and after a thinking over a lot of time she decided that she was going to demand veer to accept her the same way as she accepted him with all his flaws. She did not want to marry and face something like mother did.

" ma'am please " veer's secretary was trying to stop her but she barged in his cabin.
Veer was surprised to see her here and asked his secretary to leave who uttered a sorry for causing the disturbance.
" what is it mishti? I asked you for some time right? " veer shot at her.
" after this I will not disturb you " Mishti said and veer gestured her to sit.
" I want to work after marriage and continue with my career " mishti put her first demand whereas veer looked at her stunned with her decision.
" but you decided something else right? How can you change your decision suddenly " he barked at her in disbelief.
" do you love me veer? " she asked him all of sudden.
" I do mishti but... "
" you don't love me because love does not come with conditions veer. You will love me still I'm perfect and abandon me whenever my flaws come before you if that is love I don't want this love. If you can't accept me and respect me for the women I'm. I'm sorry we better break up "  mishti removed the ring from her finger and placed on his desk.
Veer looked at her in disbelief grasping her words. She was breaking up with him instead of compromising like always.
" veer please change your surname back to yours because by changing your surname to my popsie's you will never become him because my popsie never asked my mom to change or compromise anytime " she calmly stated.
" mish mish... " veer called her but mishti ignored him  and walked out of the cabin.

Radhika was tensely pacing the hall. Mishti had not come back to the house still. She sighed as she saw mishti entering the house but concern took over her as she noticed that mishti's eyes had become red and puffy.
" dadi I broke my engagement " mishti swallowed back her tears.
Radhika stepped near to comfort her but mishti stopped her " I need some time " and moved towards her room.
She closed her room door and slid down and wrapped her arms around her knees and tears sprang out of her eyes remembering all her moments with veer.

Ruhaan was packing his things. It was time he leaves this house unless he wants to create more problems for mishti. Though his heart ached by the thought of leaving her he did not find any other way. Pari had proposed him two days before and he had rejected her reasoning that he can't love her. He can't love anyone because he had fallen in love so deeply to come out of it now. The only fault was that he meet the girl of his dreams very late. He tried to pursue her but she was too loyal to her fiance.
He was envious of veer but at the same time angry on him. He had left mishti when he needed her the most and when he tried to convince veer, he did not even listen to him.
" you don't understand, she was not the mishti I got engaged to. She never behaved this way " veer's voice echoed in his ears. He was amused by veer. Just because mishti behaved little irrational, it does not mean he should hold on to it not when she is pleading and apologizing continuously. If only he was veer he could have never let mishti cry on her birthday no matter what.

"Ruhaan " her voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he turned around to look at her.
His heart ached looking at her state. Her tear strained face tore his heart into pieces. He had the sudden urge to take her in his arms and hid her away from all the pain and cruelty of the world but he refrained. She was engaged to veer and he was not going to do anything which would make her feel guilty.

" you're leaving " she merely whispered looking at his packed bags.
He was leaving. Why? Was he tired of putting up with her tantrums?
Ruhaan nodded his head.
" I broke my engagement " she said to him much to his shock. Ruhaan did not know what to reply back, he was shocked by her sudden decision . But he knew one thing he wanted to do before he left the place.
In one Swift move, he grabbed her towards him and suddenly hugged her surprising her.
" I wanted to do this from the birthday party day when you cried. I could not because you were engaged "

" it's ok to act irrational sometimes mishti. It is ok to make mistakes. It's ok if you are not perfect everytime. Remember I love your everything including your dark side and it is ok if you misunderstood me
my love " Ruhaan mumbled as he held her in his arms. Mishti felt solace as she heard his words. This words were what she had carved to hear from veer.

Did Ruhaan love her so deeply? But why  had  she always mistreated him. She was puzzled and stared at him.
He suddenly kissed her surprising her. She could not resist him and gave him access by opening her lips. She kissed him back with equal passion.
They broke the kiss but he still did not let go of her. Mishti pushed him realizing what had she done?. She just now broke up with veer and was already kissing Ruhaan and it felt so right. Has she became like her father? Ruhaan observed her as shock engulfed her.
" Don't " Ruhaan's sharp voice cut through her thoughts.
" you are not your father and you will never become him " she was taken aback by his words. How did he know?. That's when realization dawned her that no matter what ruhaan always used to see through her facade and it scared her. She was afraid he would break her walls which she had built around her heart and that was the reason she used to mistreat him and push him away but he was equally stubborn and refused to bulge.

Pari was heart broken as she saw Ruhaan walking out of his room with his luggage. Arav holds her hands comforting her but her heart was still bleeding. Ruhaan took radhika's blessing and was bidding farewell to everyone when out of nowhere mishti rushed out of his room.
" don't leave " mishti's voice made everyone turn their attention to her.
" please don't leave " mishti's choked voice finally made Pari look at her sister whose face had turned pale.
" what happened mishti? " Ruhaan asked concerned.
" don't leave Ruhaan. I want to give us a chance " a lump in her throat formed but she swallowed it.
Ruhaan looked at her for a moment before he flung his arms around her.
" I'm not leaving anywhere. Are you happy now? " he asked her still holding her close.
Mishti was surprised , he did not question her and agreed without any arguments.
" I'm happy " she smiled between her tears melting in his embrace. She felt peace and was contented in his arms because she knew he was all that her heart carved for, the one who embraced her with her imperfections and flaws. After years of putting up this facade, mishti found her freedom in Ruhaan's arms. She no longer cared about society or anyone as long as Ruhaan was there with her. She closed her eyes relishing the warmth and love she was getting in his arms.
