Shivaay had prided himself for being someone who was always ready to learn. Today, it was a very simple lesson. To not mess with his future wife when she's excited.

He had been stressed about a deal and Anika's incessant chatter about "How it was Christmas" didn't help. They were at his family's lodge in Switzerland and Anika was determined to celebrate.

One thing happened after the other and he ended up ruining her mood by calling her a kid. Now, his deal was finalised, his stress diminished and he realised what he had done.

His family was such a sport, had sent them to a pre-wedding honeymoon to spend time with one another and he had ended up messing with it. As he walked in his room, he saw Anika already asleep, a frown on her face. Shivaay sighed, guess it was upto him to save Christmas.

---

Anika woke up when she felt cold. Looking around, she frowned when she didn't find Shivaay around.

Stupid Oberoi, didn't even sleep for his deal. Dragged me so far away from home and now left me alone. Could have gone to Rudra's party instead.

Bundling herself in the warmth of her sheets, she finally looked around, only to be shocked.

“What the-”

“Oh, you're awake.” Shivaay came at the door, grinning at her.

“Why does it look like Christmas pooped all over the house?”

It was true. Their room was currently full of Christmas decorations.

“Oh please, I am sure this is hoe you would have done it too.”

“Shivaay, I am a professional event planner. You are a stuck-up businessman. I am very sure this is not how I would have done things.”

He sighed and walked towards the bed. Anika rolled her eyes. It was pretty difficult to not smile. Yes, the room looked awful but he had put in efforts.

But what's the fun in giving in easily?

“And don't you think all of this will make me forget what you did yesterday.”

Shivaay shrugged as he climbed in bed, sitting in front of her. “Who said anything about me doing it for you?”

Anika furrowed her brows. In answer, Shivaay tipped her chin upwards and she saw green leaves hanging above the bed. Before she was able to process, Shivaay softly said, “I did it for myself.” and he took her in a searing kiss.

---

Anika could say it was her weakness when he was being sweet to her. After a very heavy makeout session marking the beginning of a beautiful day, Shivaay had pushed her to get ready and come out for breakfast.

Dressing in a red crop top and jeans, Anika walked out with a stoic face. On not finding him anywhere, she frowned. He did invite her for breakfast, didn't he? The living room looked the same, full of over the top Christmas decorations.

As if in answer, he appeared at the door of the lodge, grinning at her. “Breakfast is outside.”

Anika raised an eyebrow. She couldn't say he wasn't putting in efforts.

The porch was decorated heavily too and Anika resisted the urge to laugh. So she ended up snorting unstead which earned her a glare. She was handed a cup of hot chocolate. She had barely had one sip when Shivaay slid his arms around her waist.

“I call mistletoe.”

She didn't even get to look up and was taken in yet another kiss. The cup was taken from her hands and placed on the table as Shivaay pressed his hands against her back, leading her hands in his hair.

---

After a rather sweet breakfast that included waffles and lots of kisses on the cheeks, Shivaay had quickly run inside while Anika sat on the porch, her legs swinging. She closed her eyes when she felt a snowflake fall on her nose. Anika grinned. She had been waiting for it to snow. The lodge was surrounded by snow already but they hadn't gotten a chance to witness snowing and Anika shouted Shivaay's name excitedly.

He was outside in a few seconds looking at her curiously before he realised what had her so excited.

She danced around in snow as Shivaay panicked and looked for a shawl.

“You'll catch a cold.” he mumbled, trying to wrap a shawl around her. Anika shrugged it off and it fell onto the snow, getting damp pretty quickly.

He grunted, and she only smiled a fake smile. “I am a kid, deal with it.”

“Oh come on, I am actively apologizing.”

Anika bent to the ground and before Shivaay could gather what was happening, a snow ball landed on his chest, dampening his clothes. “The battle has begun.”

---

Currently, they were standing at the doorstep of the house. The snow had quickly piled up and the winds were strong. Shivaay had to almost drag her inside and now that they were in, the shivered.

As Anika saw Shivaay rub the snow off his hair, she laughed before covering it up. “Look at the adults.”

Achoo.

Shivaay smirked. “The kid is sick.”

Anika only rolled her eyes, wondering what to do. Shivaay waited for her to say something but when she didn't, he shook his head. “Come on, let's get you a warm bath.”

Imagine Anika's horror when their bathroom had a mistletoe too. Shivaay was inside with her, waiting for the tub to fill with warm water when he saw something and smiled mischievously. Anika raised an eyebrow, still shivering. He only took her in a kiss again, making her sigh into his mouth. You can't blame her, she really was craving warmth.

---

As they stepped out of the tub, Anika wrapped a towel around herself, eyeing Shivaay still inside the tub. “Don't think you're forgiven.”

His eyes still closed, Shivaay smiled. “I just think you're loving all the attention.”

“Maybe I am. I am engaged to a brick wall, after all.”

Shivaay smiled and opened his eyes, stepping out of the tub. Anika rolled her eyes at his attempt, turning away. To her surprise, he wrapped his arms around her, placing a kiss on her neck. “This Grinch look doesn't suit you.”

“Uss par bhi tumhara copyright hai?”

Shivaay laughed in her wet hair, placing it on the other side. Anika tilted side ways, allowing access as she stared at them in the mirror. Shivaay had only turned them around when she frowned. “I am hungry.”

“I am too.” Shivaay grinned before placing his lips on hers.

---

He had left her, after a lot of time, yes, and gone to the other room to get ready. A beautiful black evening gown was laid on the bed for her and she smiled. It wasn't that bad an idea to be upset with him. Her fiancé was a charmer.

When she walked to the dining room, it felt like she had entered a fairytale. It was dimly lit, the fireplace providing most of the light and warmth. The room smelt of freshly cooked food and Shivaay stood, dressed in a full sleeved sweater and dark-washed jeans as her arranged the food on the table.

When he saw her, he couldn't take his eyes off. Anika looked away, slightly embarassed by the way he was looking at her. In order to avoid his gaze, she looked up, only to find another mistletoe.

He was somehow right in front of her and tilted his head, placing a quick kiss on her lips.

“Merry Christmas, I love you.”

Anika only smiled, letting him lead her to the table.

---

As she finished her piece of warm chocolate brownie, Shivaay was bent in front of her, his hand forwarded. Anika gladly placed hers in his.

Music played and they swayed to the tunes for what seemed like forever.

“Now stop pretending like you're upset.”

“I like the efforts you put in.”

“Is it so?”

“Uh-huh.”

He let her fall in a dip and bent, taking her in another kiss. Anika let her cold hands roam on his warm face, her thumb caress his ear lobe.

Shivaay raised her and his hands found their way to her neck, thumb behind her ear.

They pulled away for breath and Shivaay smiled. “Look who saved Christmas.”

---

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you like this random one. Christmas usually is the favourite time of the year for me and just felt wrong to not write a Christmas story. It's almost tradition now.
