Makoto: Well it looks like Season 9 is complete. So... now what?

Miu: Now we just rank all the episodes from least favorite to favorite. That's what the boss said anyway.

Makoto: I guess. But I do like all the fights this season so it will be difficult. Alright, let's get this started.

17.) The Rock vs Sun Wukong

Miu: Starting in last place, Hercules vs Sun Wukong!

Makoto: Now, all of these matches were really good, and this one was no exception. It was definitely unique in its own way. 

Miu: The fight itself was alright, but the death didn't really click with me y'know? For that, this match is getting a 6/10. 

16) Excalibur vs Raiden

Makoto: Next up we have Excalibur vs Raiden. Not sure if we should include sponsored fights or not though.

Miu: It's fine. Now, this fight was a bit underwhelming for me and the Death Battle fanbase certainly didn't help. The fight was alright aside from a few instances so I'll be giving this one a 6.5/10.

15) James Bond vs John Wick

Miu: I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't put this matchup higher simply because I'm a big John Wick fan.

Makoto: Right. When the matchup was announced, we were probably the few people who were excited or it. Sadly while the fight was good, it was a bit stiff in my opinion. I also felt like they could have done more with it. Still, I consider it better than the last two so it gets a 6.5/10.

14) Boba Fett vs Predator

Miu: Another one that I'm a tad bit biased with simply because I'm a fan of both series.

Makoto: This was a good fight. It could have been better, I will admit... but nonetheless, it was still good. I'm honestly just glad Predator finally got in a Death Battle and Boba Fett finally got a win. This one leaves with a 6.5/10 as it's a bit more forgettable than the other episodes.

13) Harley Quinn vs Jinx

Miu: Oh yeah, speaking of that... how come this Harley chick is only appearing in Death Battle now?

Makoto: I will admit, as far as the first episode of the season goes, this one was pretty good. It's not as good as Miles Morales vs Static Shock or Yoda vs King Mickey, but it was still enjoyable to watch. It also had me watch Arcane which I don't regret. The fight itself gets a 7/10.

12) Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna

Miu: Ha! The fact that so many dipshits got this one wrong! I rooted for Zatanna because I knew all along she could get the job done with her DC bullshit!

Makoto: ... Yeah no, we only rooted for Zatanna because everyone kept saying that the Scarlet Witch stomped. We didn't actually think she was going to win. Still, this was a pretty close fight. It wasn't perfect but it's what I expect from two girls who can bend reality to their will. This one is a 7/10 with Zatanna stealing the show.

11) Jason Voorhees vs Micheal Myers

Miu: The hell?

Makoto: Oh yeah, this one was age-restricted. Probably because of all the blood. So we just replaced it with the thumbnail.

Miu: Not enough blood if you as me. I'll be honest this one was good but would have been a lot better if the fight was much longer. Seriously, for half the fight it's just some kid running, and even he got like a minute or two of screen time. Still, the fight was good and the death was badass. This is a 7/10. And speaking of 10, we're down to the top 10.

10.) SpongeBob vs Aquaman

Miu: So this is kinda ironic. The thing is, I hate SpongeBob Death Battles. 

Makoto: Hate is a strong word. We just don't like them due to not being as big a fan of SpongeBob as other kids. But even then, that didn't stop this fight from being a bit funny. I will admit it took me a while and a few more watches before I could start seeing why it's a good match, but you've gotta start somewhere. This fight gets a 7/10

9.) The Rock vs Apocalypse

Miu: If I had a nickel for every time Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson died in a Death Battle... I'd have two nickels but it's still strange that it's happened twice.

Makoto: Anyway, Black Adam vs Apocalypse was a fight I've been hoping to see for a long time. Despite this, I was a little bummed at the time as I thought Black Adam would win. Yeah, how wrong I was. As a bigger Apocalypse fan than a Black Adam fan, I enjoyed watching him wreak havoc. It was a fun fight with a 7.5/10 ranking. Probably with a hint of bias.

8) Magneto vs Tetsuo

Miu: I'll admit it. Despite being the first to highly underestimate the sheer power Magneto has in his arsenal, I still knew my favorite marvel villain was taking this hands down. I also did watch Tetsuo's show beforehand. It was pretty good.

Makoto: The right itself had a similar feeling to Tatsumaki vs Mob, which is a fight we personally enjoy. So as expected, this fight should get an 8/10 for us.

7) Thor vs Vegeta

Miu: I wasn't expecting this one to be in 7th place.

Makoto: Well it was hard to choose between this one and the one that got 6th place. Probably because we enjoyed that one slightly better than we did this one. Still, it was really enjoyable to watch despite the fact Vegeta... really didn't have the best of luck this season.

Miu: Still, this fight was pretty good and gets an 8.5/10. It easily tied to 6th place which is...

6) Tanjiro vs Johnathan Joestar

Miu: Wait... why is this so high up?

Makoto: Well don't get me wrong. I still disagree with how they highballed JoJo characters, though that highball is only my personal opinion. It's why I disagreed with Dio vs Alucard, but now think it's one of that season's best episodes despite not agreeing with the outcome. The same goes for this. Well sorta. This one I agree with the outcome but still think they overestimated Johnathan Jostar a bit.

Miu: Still, this list isn't about what fights we agree with or not. It's how much we enjoy them. And as stated before, we enjoyed this one slightly more than Thor vs Vegeta but only by a small portion. Which is why it also gets an 8.5/10. Who knew this one would be so high on our list? Next!

5.) Sauron vs Lich King

Miu: Damn, both Thor vs Vegeta and Tanjiro vs Johnathan were so close to the top 5... but this fight just blew both of those out of the water! I mean, this fight was just badass!

Makoto: As someone who hasn't seen either series, I originally wasn't as invested in it as everyone else during the time it was announced... but I did slowly start to get into the matchup itself and was excited once it finally did come out. Good to know that the fight itself didn't disappoint aside from a few nitpicks here and there. The fight itself gets a 9/10.

4) Gogeta vs Vegito

Makoto: Alright, I'll be the first to admit it. This fight wasn't as good as all the other season finales but it was still a really good fight in my opinion. 

Miu: Yeah, I already knew Goku and Vegeta would beat Goku and Vegeta. I mean, it's only common knowledge. Still, the fact one of the reasons for the loss is that Vegeta's power level was slightly less than Goku's just shows how much bad luck the guy's had this season. He literally died twice! And the second time was a loss to himself!

Makoto: Anyway, this fight is another 9/10. And now to the Top 3.

3.) Omni-Man vs Homelander

Miu: Hah! I dare Etna to look at this and say a stomp matchup can't be entertaining! Funny how many times Goku and Superman have been brought up this season though.

Makoto: Right. While this matchup wasn't the most requested for the two, it was definitely the most popular and I'm glad they got it out of the way. Still, this fight ad Homelander take quite the beating this season. Omni-Man was really letting out some pent-up frustration with this one.

Miu: And since it was such a bloody blood bath, we'll give it a 9.5/10. Close to a 10/10 but it was a bit too short.

2) Trunks vs Silver

Miu: Alright everyone, raise your hand if you ever thought Trunks vs Silver would be a good match. ... Nobody? Well, clearly Death Battle didn't either, which is why they gave us Xeno Trunks vs Archie Silver! And man, was it way better than what it could have been!

Makoto: Right. I will admit, I was not a fan of the matchup. At least not with them using the original versions of these two. So it was a breath of fresh air for them to bring back the Archie and introduce the Xeno series again. You know, I don't think there's ever been a Dragon Ball episode I didn't like.

Miu: Android 18 vs Captain Marvel...

Makoto: Okay, I stand corrected. This fight is a 10/10.

1.) Deku vs Asta

Miu: Well people are gonna hate me for this one. Yeah, a lot of people really don't like this fight apparently. To be honest, I did want Deku vs Izuru but I always thought Asta was a better opponent as far as connections go since Izuru was more two characters becoming exact opposites through similar experiences. Meanwhile, I hated all of Asta's other matchups. No offense to any Black Clover fans.

Makoto: The result was pretty obvious, but the fight itself was really good in my opinion and I enjoyed it the most out of all the others except for Trunks vs Silver which came at a close 2nd. This fight is a 10/10.

Miu: And we're done. Finally. We couldn't do it yesterday because Wattpad was being a bitch.

Makoto: So what will we be doing next?
