These ponies have white coats with two colored manes at birth. At age 11, they take a long trip to the choosing star, a bright and glimmering stone said to be given from the heavens to tell the ponies their gemstone paired destiny. Once the shine and warmth from the gem hits the pony's cutie mark, a gem appears on a necklace, given to them at birth, to wear forever. A strange marking the color of their gem covers their body. Days pass and they discover their cutie mark, doing with their gem and pattern. Then they are given their name.
