*In Phoenix, Arizona*

*There was a little girl in an alleyway with her head buried in her knees sobbing, she had brown hair, green eyes and wore a dirty and torn up shirt with a ripped up skirt with no shoes*

*she hadn't eaten in days and was starving, her parents had died a long time ago and she never got over it*

???: Hey excuse me?

*The little girl stopped sobbing and she quickly looked up and saw a man she had never seen before and she flinched out of fear*

???: Hey don't be scared, i'm not gonna hurt you

Jolly: *sniffles and wipes away her tears* wh- who are you?

Jake: I'm jake, and you are?

Jolly: J- jolly

Jake: Where are your parents jolly?

Jolly: Th- They're dead...

*Jake looked away slightly and then looked back at the poor girl*

Jake:...Come with me, i'll let you stay with me until i find you family

Jolly: you will?

Jake: Of course kid

*Jake held out his hand and she took his hand and led her to his car to take her to his apartment*

*When they got to his apartment, there was a young boy sitting on the couch*

Jake: Hey alex, come meet jolly

*He sat up and went over to them*

Alex: hey jolly

Jolly: Hi...

Alex: Where'd she come from dad?

Jake: Oh i found her in an alley and since her parents are dead, she's gonna be staying with us until i can find someone to take care of her, so why don't you show jolly where she'll be staying

Alex: okay come on jolly

*Jolly followed alex nervously*

Alex: This is my room, we'll set a sleeping bag on the floor for you tonight

Jolly: Okay...

*At night*

*Jake and alex had already fallen asleep, and jolly laid on her sleeping bag before she turned onto her side and yawned quietly and fell asleep...maybe things will get better*
