The night covered the ground. The only light to be seen was that of the stars and the moon, shining bright in the night sky...and one other light.

A single light on a building was on, illuminating the "Employees Only" sign on the door. A dumpster was sitting by the wall of the building. Scuttling could be heard, and soon a tiny head popped up: a black cat. The cat had large, white eyes, eyes that took up the majority of its face. The cat looked around, and seeing the door, hopped out from the dumpster to open it. This cat was different from normal cats, as this cat would walk on two feet instead of all fours. He approached the closed door.

He unlocked the door and opened it. It was pitch black in the room. The only light to be seen was the light coming from outdoors. The cat walked in, and a computer monitor flashed on as it neared. The black cat grabbed hold of the sheet covering the computer and yanked it off, revealing a music workstation.

There was a small desk with a workstation shelf. On the shelf was the computer monitor along with two small speakers. There was a webcam located on top of the monitor. Below the shelf was a small keyboard, and in front of that a computer keyboard. To the left of the keyboard was a drum pad, and to the right was a computer mouse. Two large speakers were stationed on either side of the desk. A pair of wireless headphones sat on the desk just below the mouse. On them was a red logo trapped within a white circle. The outside around the white circle was gray, and the rest of the headphones were black.

The cat reached down and grabbed the headphones, raising them above its head before putting them on and smiling. It looked at the computer screen with a smile, and then turned its gaze back down to the computer keyboard, tail whipping. It navigated the cursor on the screen to the password line. The username "Monstercat" was already typed in. The cat quickly typed in the password, then proceeded to the next screen. It put its hands on the desk and smiled as the next screen appeared. Using the drop down on the screen, the cat selected a range: universal (don't ask me what that means because I don't know yet). The cat smiled, eyes wide, tail whipping in excitement. It moved the mouse, selected the word "Capture" on the screen, and began to get up on the desk. As the countdown began, the cat started to lose its balance, and while struggling to regain its balance, there was a bright flash. The cat began to fall back, one foot on the edge of the desk. A red tint filled the room as the cat was pulled into the webcam.

On a foreign computer screen, the capture began rendering, and a logo began to appear. In the top left corner was a small window with a red light. Beside the red dot was the word "Offline," and below that was the word "Monstercat." On the screen was a small, red model of the Earth, Sun, and Moon. Soon, the logo fully appeared (and it was very similar to the capture [check the chapter picture]), and the message "Upload Complete!" displayed. A new message, "Searching for Users," appeared, and a small logo on the screen began to spin. This is a different logo than the first one that appeared. This logo is mostly the same as the one on the headphones, only with inverted colors. The computer connected, and the red light turned green with the word "Online" displayed beside it. The capture logo appeared in the square beside the light. A data transfer began as the cat was being uploaded. Up in space, a red spaceship hovered above the Earth's atmosphere...

The cat was sent flying through the rings of a digital pathway, yelling as it passed through. It was sent through a roller coaster ride, the pathway twisting and turning in many directions. The trip seemed to last forever.

Back on the computer screen, a bar was displayed with the message "Upload in Progress" above it. A small box with what seemed to be an outline of the cat's head was located in the middle of the screen. A pair of red eyes stared down as the bar filled...

The cat began flipping through the rings, a smile on his face, until he disappeared from sight.

The red bar was almost completely filled...and an error occurred. The little box on the screen flashed red, and a message popped up. It stated that the upload was 99% complete and asked if it was okay to continue. A green hand reached down to press yes. The screen then asked if it was okay to eject the drive. Again, the hand reached down and pressed yes. It then dragged the little box on the screen onto the USB icon, and the outline disappeared.

A teleportation pad was present, and there was a flash drive inserted into a small slot on the side...with the very same logo as the headphones. A metal claw reached down and yanked the flash drive out of the slot, electricity crackling inside. The claw was part of a small pod, and in the pod...

An alien.

The alien glanced at the flash drive and began celebrating. As he was celebrating, however, the pad activated, and a form began to develop. The alien opened his eyes and stared at the form appearing in front of him. The form became more compact...and a black cat with headphones landed in front of him.

I felt I needed to write about the Monstercat album story for a while now, but I had no idea how. I knew some parts of the story better than others, and I wanted to make it as accurate as possible (but still throw my little personal flair in there 😉).

I love this song. This has to be one of my favorites. However, I thought I knew the animation story, but then I started noticing little details that didn't fit with my current theory. I've had to fit those in while still being able to keep my original theory. Yeah, that was hard. Honestly, the song needs more attention than it gets.  I feel not enough people actually know of the animation, and thus never use it to support the story theory.

Anyway, I'm hoping to update this as much as possible (I mean, I do still have to write 29 chapters...), so be expecting LOTS of updates.
