I woke up on the common room couch where I had fallen asleep last night. All around me several other people were dozing but some had gotten up and been heading back to their dorms. With a groan, I tied up my tangled hair again. Then, taking my phone out of my pocket I checked the time. There were still a few minutes left before the breakfast bell rang. I dragged myself to my bedroom for a quick shower. 

I got dressed and hurried down for breakfast. I wasn't late for my classes for a change. I grinned and walked over to where everyone was sitting. They started yelling as soon as I reached the table. 

"Princess Verina is finally on time!" yelled Airell. Bianca pretended to faint and Eryx thumped the table. I rolled my eyes at them. 

"Stop it, you guys," I said, giving Eryx a shove. He fell back, still laughing. 

"Would you quit it guys?" said Aria, shaking her head and smiling. "Everyone is looking." 

It was true. Everyone was staring at us and whispering. Prince Arryn who sat on the main table winked at me while Mrs Kuperus glared disapprovingly. 

I sat down and poured myself some cereal. 

"What's with the good mood today?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. 

"Nothing," said Airell hastily. 

Eryx choked on his cereal. I ignored them and poured milk into my bowl. 

"Airell broke up with Oaklyn." Bianca burst out. Airell glared at her and she giggled. "Sorry, I couldn't keep it in any longer." 

I nearly choked on my cereal. 

"What?" I said. "How?" This explained why Aria looked cheerful yesterday. 

"Don't ask," said Airell groaning. 

"She wanted to spend more time with Airell and got angry when our stud here was talking to other girls." Eryx burst out, barely able to control his laugh. Bianca joined in. 

"Haha very funny guys," said Airell shooting them dirty looks. Go on, make fun of my love life." 

"When?" I asked. 

"Last night after the game." Aria chimed in. 

"Why didn't no one tell me this yesterday?" I demanded. 

"Airell wouldn't let us," said Eryx. "He didn't want more people to make fun of him." 

"Airell?" I said grinning wickedly at him. He rolled his eyes at me. 

"Why do I ever tell you anything?" he said to Eryx. 

"Because you love me, bro," said Eryx pouting and making everyone laugh again. 

"You will find someone better you know," said Bianca patting his arm. "But Oaklyn was quite a catch though."
She caught Eryx's eye and both of them started cracking up again. 

Airell sighed as all of us headed to our first class. Bianca and Eryx kept teasing him and even Aria and I joined in occasionally. Airell's mood improved and he took our teasing good-naturedly sighing and groaning dramatically. 
It was fun being with friends, especially with ones as entertaining as mine.
