owo?? Pearl tried soft shading??

Like the colors are muddy and I have no idea how to shade properly much less blend and I left my sketches messy and as always the hair is wack but I don't even care because I actually rendered a thing what the FUCK

Also a super good exercise for pushing same face since it relies on facial structure!

By the way!! These were heavily inspired by a series TheZodiacLord used to do where he'd speedpaint slightly realistic but mostly cartoony portraits of one of his casts [nicknamed Lunaverse, he's still working on it] and talk about the character, I realize the concept of a forward facing portrait isn't exactly his but the gradient backgrounds look kinda similar and I was rewatching the series today, as I do when I need inspiration because he's one of my all time favorite artists, so I figured I'd put this here

But yea, how'd I do? Should I do more? I'm not sure if I will or not yet so I'd appreciate a second opinion or two ^^
