Okay here's a disclaimer

I am,, so fucking scared to post this aaAAAHSKDGD

I know I've brought up doing this multiple times and many of you were nice enough to agree to it but!! It's so much rambling and not a whole not of art, plus some of it will be reposts [just for color reference dw]

Plus, I worry that my OCs just won't be interesting enough, that I'll have failed those of you who are nice enough to look at my shit

But I'm doing it anyway

Okay!! Let's do this!! I'm going to regret it the minute I post it oh noooooooooo

The format will be the same for all OCs, first part will be these main two [Cody is the protagonist, Rita is most important in the first book], second will be the other main three, and third will be side but prominent characters, I'll be putting a basic intro/bust with the colors and a large block of text underneath

First up, the man, the myth, the legend,, Cody!!

- naive, sweet,, adorable
- kindhearted, always does his best to help
- extremely insecure and worries he'll never be what his mother wants him to be [he's basically a prince]
- so yes mommy issues oops
- loves his friends and the entire world
- thinks the earth is the coolest shit ever!!
- way too trusting for his own good
- total pacifist, scared to fight
- heavily prefers his cat form and working with his hands instead of magic but is often banned from using it
- super feminine, judged because people assume he's gay but he doesn't really notice it most of the time, oblivious
- emotional and optimistic
- the pure one of the group
- local cinnamon roll

- like everyone else, has emotion based powers, his are obviously very direct in that regard
- can sense/feel others' emotions, if they're too intense it can completely overwhelm him
- with extreme focus he can pass his emotions on to others or see what is making them feel the way they do
- has his human avatar and feral avatar like fellow shapeshifters, considered weak because he's a housecat
- can't taste sweets as a cat but loves sugary foods and getting to eat them as a human, even has a small pepsi addiction [hence the shirt]
- mother is a lioness and the leader of the moon tribe [name pending?], father is a tiger
- his eyes are a bit ironic, they look blind but that's actually because they have a spell cast on them to help him see! Like semi-permanent contacts, he wasn't supposed to get it since it's not exactly,, an official method [his eyes would be chocolate brown without it]
- 'weapon': shield

- soft pink
- fear of water/drowning
- Hufflepuff

Next up,, lovely Rita!!

- binch
- tbh a total jerk
- says she doesn't care about anything but will yell at you for stepping on grass, activistTM
- doesn't trust many people but is extremely dedicated and protective of the ones she does
- confident as hell
- picks up new things quickly and has quite the talent for abstract/nonobjective art
- this is probably obvious but super edgy
- constantly impatient and angry
- hasn't slept in 3 days
- didn't always have quite this short of a fuse but something's,, changed
- hates her home [place not family/treatment] and wants to run away
- apathetic and pessimistic
- your typical emo artist type

- her powers are temperamental and tricky to connect with, just like her
- they come from an artifact since humans aren't biologically wired to use magic
- she isn't supposed to be able to use it but why would she let that stop her from breaking the rules
- depending on her control, she can hold short moments of invisibility [mainly on herself], make mirages, and disguise herself as others, although that one is easily the hardest to maintain
- weapon: a bow and phoenix feather fledged arrows, often prefers to use the bow as a brute force weapon because she's too impatient for long range but it doesn't generally go that well

- dark red
- fear of losing everyone she loves/isolation
- Ravenclaw
