(Warning: Mentions of Depression  Homophobia and beating)

-Matthew has Carcerophobia (Fear of prison) due to visiting his brother Monty in jail, before he died.

-He saw and heard many horrible things in prison, like criminals, r*pists, cannibals and many more during his visits. It gave him so much anxiety ever since because he heard many bad things that happened there.

-He began to have depression when he turned 16.

-Matthew was very close to Monty and saw him as a better parent figure than his own parents, which made him fall into depression even further once he died.

-He was beaten by his father with a belt when he found out he was bisexual because he claimed that he was not gonna have a "F*ggot" as his son. He still had the scars from his dad's belt to this day. (He mostly hides it with his shirt.)

-Whenever Matthew overheard his parents fighting, He always hid in his room and covered his ears to block it out.

-Matthew moved out of his parents' house once he turned 18 because he couldn't take anymore of their crap, Especially after what happened to Monty before he died.

-He always visits Monty's grave with his friends by putting flowers on them to remember the good times he had with him.
