Marinette is sad since her husband, Adrien is sick.  She knows it is only a cold, but still it makes her feel down.  She knows this means no hugs, or kisses.  She feels sorry for him to  as keeps on sneezing, coughing, and calling out,  "Marinette, I need more kleenex's!  I could use some chicken soup, or could you refill my water glass, please!"

To top it off, she just found the strangest thing in the mail box.  It is an envelope with her maiden name on it instead of her married name.  Marinette thinks the thing to be rather odd.  It is not like that many people are oblivious to the fact she and Adrien have been married for a long time now.

When she gets inside,Marinette opens it to see what it contains. She looks at the contents in surprise.  It is a letter with one corner torn off the end, how peculiar indeed!  Oh, and there is a few photos too. One photo is of her, Alya, Adrien and Nino together.  Another one is of her and Adrien as they sit on a park bench.  Adrien has his arm around her in the picture.  She wonders who could have sent her these things?   How could the sender know her new address?  She only recalls her and Adrien having mentioned it to a few close friends, their grown children and the grand children.  She can not think of anyone else who could know about their current residence.  Other than of course, the postal service.

Marinette reads the letter to see if she figure out more about the person who sent these things in the mail to her.  She grins, then frowns, laughs a bit and smiles once more.  She is glad to have found the answer she seeks. Then, again this still does not explain the rip in the note.

   Dear Marinette,

I know it has been years since we last talked.  I suppose this only makes sense as we did not know one another that well anyway.  I admit I was glad to here you are still of good health. That sure came as a relief to me, well that and the news that you found yourself some one. Well, good for you!  I hope all is well for you and him!  I really mean it from the depths of my very soul.

So, anyway, how is everything?  I suppose since you may not recall much about me, I shall reintroduce myself.  I admit I was not that good to you in the past.  For that matter, I doubt I was that great to anyone.  i  was the type who when it came to people was one of the worst ever.  I was given good advice, but was not the one to listen.  It got me in lots of trouble back then.  For that matter, it was the sort of thing to follow me almost everywhere.

Then, one day I met him, and life as it knew it was not the same for me.  I was the girl who was use to exaggeration or lies as a means to get people to pay attention to me. The girl who told such stories as  the one about the ear issues in the left ear, the sprain in my wrist and so on.  Bye now, you have already guessed who I am!  I am Lila Rossi, or was when you and I first met.  Anyway, I am not proud of my past, on no.  I am sorry for it.  It is the one thing I regret.

When I met the man, who later became my husband well I immediately knew I had to change for good if I were ever to have happiness of my own. I made the decision from that point on to take all the advice from Ladybug, Chat Noir,  along with you and Adrien, and the others.  I made the decision to be myself, but the more honest type.  I told everyone that I was not ever out of town to see all the sights, and that Prince Ali  was never my friend.  Goodness, no!  He never even met me let alone befriended me. It took me awhile, to regain anyone's  trust.  Little by little a few did trust me, but everyone.

Still, I could tell he could see I meant it.  It was then, I knew I had met the one for me.  Wow, talk about excitement!  I was happy, I felt myself blush around him from then on out. I could hardly look his way without a blush on my cheeks.  Imagine my surprise, when he told me his name was Sam.  He told me he was new in town, he was happy to meet me and agreed to be my friend.  I was so thrilled, I just nodded my headed and muttered,  "Sure, Sam, I would really like to be your friend."

Eventually, some dance came up and he asked me to attend it with him.  I said, "yes"  that I would go with him.  I was happy the day of the dance to be able to spend time with him like this.  He asked me after the dance to be his girlfriend and I agreed without any hesitation.  Years later, he asked me to marry him!  I  looked at him in surprise, slipped the ring on my finger and agreed to do so!   A few months later, his dad got really ill,so we got married sooner than originally planned, so his father could attend the wedding!  Well, to us it was a sad event, but splendid just the same!

Now, years later, Sam and I have children and grandchildren of our own!  Goodness, life sure has its own ups and downs, now does it not?  Anyway, thanks for being such a dear, and all!   Thanks for your help, Marinette!  Without you, I might never have become Lila Rossi Jones, so thanks girl!

      Sincerely,

      Lila Rossi Jones

Ps.  Be a dear will you and tell your man, Lila and Sam says hello!

Marinette smiles.  She is glad to hear from Lila.  She admits the letter came quite as a surprise.  Yet somehow she believes it came just at the right time. Why had it come any sooner and it may have just gotten more tares in it than the one it has already.
