Sonnet 17: The Poet
(Inspiration 6)

How could I just forget so fair a face?
Or just forget so bright the brightest eyes?
I'll paint thy face that Time cannot erase

Although the skeptic doubts thou didst exist,
Thou liv'st within the world of fancy's sense,
As beautiful as fancy dares to list
Of all the beauties past or present, since
None ever found so rare a prize as thee:
More honored I, for thou'st inspired me.
