"What a day."

I woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. I don't really remember much, but I just remember that I woke up in tears. I was sobbing uncontrollably. I didn't know what to do. I took out my phone and I called Sans.

"Uh, hello?"

"S-Sans!"

"(Y/N)? It's the middle of the night, are you okay?"

"N-No, I'm not o-okay."

"What happened?"

"I h-had a nightmare..."

"Aw, what was it about?"

"I... d-don't really remember... all I know is that there was... t-there was..."

"There was what?"

"...b-blood. Lots o-of blood everywhere and I d-don't know why..."

Sans fell silent for a moment.

"...were there any... dead people?"

"Y-Yeah..."

"Hold on, I know someone who can help with this."

It was quiet for a moment, until...

"Hello?"

"Uh, hello, who is this?"

"T-This is Papyrus, (Y/N)."

"Papyrus?"

"Yes... Sans has nightmares frequently, s-so I usually know how to calm someone down when they have a nightmare."

"O-Oh..."

"Sans said there were... dead people in your dream?"

"Yes."

"Do you know who the people were?"

"Yes."

"Who were they?"

"...close friends..."

"Like who?"

"...like... you, Sans, Undyne, even Chara."

"Hm... Sans has had similar dreams."

"Really?"

"Yes. Just know that nobody here is going to die, everyone is going to be fine."

"T-Thank you, Papyrus."

"It's never a problem for the great Papyrus! Nyehehe!"

I chuckled. Papyrus is such a goofball.

"I'll see you later, Papyrus."

"You too, (Y/N)!"

I hung up the phone and sighed. I looked out my window and saw that the sun was already starting to come up. I quietly snuck out of my house and watched the sun rise over the mountain.

"Hey, (Y/N)." a deep voice greeted. "Sans?" I asked. "Yup." Sans replied. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Well, I, uh... I guess I wanted to hang out with you a little bit after what happened." Sans shrugged.

"That's really sweet, but you don't have to." I replied. "Exactly. I don't have to. But I want to." Sans stated. "Wow, you're just the king of cheesy stuff, aren'tcha?" I laughed. "Basically, yeah." Sans chuckled. "So, how did you get here so fast?" I asked.

"Teleportation, of course. You know I'd be too lazy to walk here." Sans replied. "True." I stated. We watched the sunrise in silence, until I felt Sans hold my hand.

"I just... don't understand why I'd have that kind of dream." I sighed. "Well, don't worry about," Sans replied. "No one's going anywhere. We're all here for ya."
