The combatants were on a boat that would take them to Shang Tsung's Island for the tournament. If they lost this tournament then it would spell doom for the world. Lui Kang noticed that Raiden was holding his head in pain. It didn't look severe but it was enough to bother him.

"Are you okay Lord Raiden?" Lui Kang asked Raiden with worry.

"Yes. Do not worry about me." Raiden answered to Lui Kang.

Raiden had seen a vision of some sort or perhaps it was a warning. He did not know which it was but he decided to ignore it for the time being.

"You saw death didn't you? Death and destruction while being beaten to a pulp by Shao Kahn. Didn't you Lord Raiden?" Y/N Asked his friend with worry and fear.

Raiden looked at you shocked. "How did you know? Did you see the same thing? How is this possible?" Raiden Asked you quietly not to draw attention with curiosity.

"I saw the same thing a couple of hours ago. I'm not certain what this means but I do know that that it's no coincidence we both see the same vision. But most importantly we should investigate this when we get a chance." Y/N said quietly not wanting to worry Lui Kang who was standing next to Raiden.

Raiden agreed and before he could reply he noticed one of the combatants was walking over to them. He walked with confidence, had a duffel bag over his shoulder, wore sunglasses despite the fact that it was night time and wore some kind of suit.

It didn't look like anything an edinian would wear so you assumed that he was from Earth Realm. He dropped the surprisingly heavy bag with a thud and went to greet us.

"Sup. How's it going. Names Johnny Cage. Maybe you've heard of me?" Johnny said with a smile and reached out his hand for me to shake.

Now you knew who this was. This was the actor who was going to be on your side for the tournament. He didn't look like much but you remember what your father told you so many years ago before he passed away.

"It don't matter what you are. Because even a dull blade can be melted down into a blade of power." Your father said to you before he passed away.

Raiden and Lui Kang looked at you waiting to see what you would do. So you decided to have a little fun.

"Hello. My name is Y/N. But I'm sorry I don't think I've heard of you." You said with a smirk under your helmet while Johnny was surprised while you shook his hand.

"Wait! Seriously? You've never heard of me? I'm Johnny Cage! THE Johnny Cage! Haven't you ever seen my movies?" Johnny said shocked while you were trying not to laugh under your helmet.

"(Sigh) Great now we've got a clown on board." A woman said leaning against a wall.

You immediately recognised her as another one of the fighters. Sonya Blade. A woman in special forces with a big part to play in the future. You walked up to her and held out your hand as a sign of respect for her service.

"Hello Sonya Blade. I've heard about your service to your country. It's an honour to meet you in person." You said to her with a wink under your helmet so she could tell it was another way to mess with the actor. She took your hand and shook it.

"Oh yeah so you know her but you don't know me! How crazy it that?!" Johnny said loudly.

Sonya smiled at you after Johnny finished complaining. You didn't want to make any rash decisions with making friends since you thought you might need them so you decided to stop the joke entirely.

"Relax Cage. I'm only messing with you. But in all seriousness I'm more impressed with Sonya than you. Mainly because your a struggling actor while Sonya has accomplished real life missions with REAL guns." You explained to Johnny.

"Ok whatever. So when are we arriving anyway?" Johnny asked trying to change the subject.

"We're here" Raiden said pointing to the island.

Everyone looked in awe as you all saw for the first time ever Shang Tsung's Island. This was where the tournament was going to be held. Despite its massive size you thought it was going to be bigger.

Everyone boarded the docks and went to the temple. However you noticed that despite Sonya's strength she had trouble with her duffle bag. She must have gotten someone else to carry it for her on the boat.

"Would you like a hand?" You asked Sonya as she looked up at you. She looked like a tough girl but you noticed she knew she would have trouble carrying it.

"(Sigh) Fine just don't drop it." Sonya said sternly.

You nodded and picked up her bag with ease. She looked confused and surprised but she looked happy not to be carrying it.

"Lui Kang, Y/N, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage! Let's go! The fate of all the realms is in our hands!" Raiden said to everyone as we all noticed we were far away from Raiden.

It was this moment that you knew it would be a long ride. But you didn't care. All that mattered was you killed Shao Kahn and avenged your entire army and brought peace to your dead family.

You didn't care if you had to go through Shao Kahn's entire army to get to him. You would not rest until you had his blood in your hands and had his head stuck on a pike.

Vengeance would be yours. And it would be the only thing to bring you peace.
