— THE GALA !
held at the end of every year, it celebrates the girl's achievements over the past year. the top group of the gala is determined by each girl's rankings throughout the year, as well as additional fan votes. the top group from the gala get to determine the concept for the first comeback of the year.

— INTERNAL VOTING !
for the galas, the girls vote internally and anonymously for who they think should form the top group. they must not vote for themselves, but due to the size of the group cliquing does occur.

— MOTIVATE THEATRE !
based in the heart of seoul, jang-gu, the theatre occupies 3 floors and also contains a merchandise shop. it is in the company's headquarters, and is also where the group's practice rooms are. it is rented by the company half the time, but the merchandise shop is open 5 days a week, from 10 am to 1 hour after the last show of the day. the shows tend to last 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes depending on the set list and number of members present.
— SHOW TIMES !
⇢ tuesdays, thursdays and fridays at 7pm.
⇢ saturdays at 2pm and 7pm.
⇢ sundays at 2pm.

— THE RANKINGS !
the rankings are based on 5 things and change at the end of every season. at the end of each year, a gala is held and the rankings of the previous year are used to determine the rankings given at the gala. the rankings determine who promotes in which group. to be in the top 5 or 6 the ranking must match. promoting in a smaller group is a privilege as it allows for more screen time per member, more lines, more space in dressing rooms, more time practicing and less time having to wait for others to catch up.
— WHAT AFFECTS THE RANKINGS ?
⇢ fan votes, eg. after theatre performances
⇢ likes on social media (the number of times you comment)
⇢ amount of member-specific merch sold (the number of times you vote)
⇢ company opinion
⇢ (for galas only) internal voting

— THE SEASON FORMAT !
every motif year (nearly every 12 months, but it differs unlike the gregorian calendar due to scheduling conflicts and promotional irregularities) contains 3 seasons, each consisting of 4 months. each month is slightly different and contains different promotion methods.
— 1ST MONTH !
in the 1st month, the rankings are announced, based off the last season. a lot of preparation is done for the next month. the girls practice and don't perform in their theatre, instead the company lets it to make money while the girls train and prepare for music shows.
— 2ND MONTH !
the girls promote on music shows, music videos are released as well as possible new bsides. the top group might also go on radio, tv shows etc in order to promote motif and themselves. during this time, preparation for theatre performances is done, but the company still might let the theatre out depending on rehearsal schedules. additionally, if there are going to be any other subunits promoting on music shows, the practice for this starts during the 2nd month.
— 3RD MONTH !
the girls perform at their theatre, but some might attend shows irregularly in the second half of the month due to promoting on music shows. music show promotions only resume after the second week of theatre promotions, in order to give the fans the chance to see all the members together.
— 4TH MONTH !
in the first half of the 4th month the girls continue to promote in the theatre and on music shows. but, in the second half they rest and then begin preparing for the next season. the rankings will have been calculated and songs chosen by the beginning of the last week of the month, so that's when songs get recorded and practice starts and outfits get fitted etc.
