Russel Crowe was the best part of this film. I loved his character and he is a great actor.

However, as far as horror movies go this was not scary which is why it lost points. Unsettling at times yes, but not scary. When I watch a demonic possession film, I want to be pissing my pants jumping out of my seat scared. And this didn't even have me closing my eyes.

I felt like we didn't get much time to understand the Vasquez family before they were thrust into the possession situation, which made it harder to care about them.

The little boy who ended up being possessed deserves an award for his acting. Shit was phenomenal. Very believable, very creepy. Can't wait to see him in future projects.

Overall this movie was okay, but not great. Give it a watch if you're new to the demonic horror genre!
