I found this to be a fascinating documentary, but not a fantastic one.

I was told it would be just that: a documentary. But there were clips with actual actors playing our 'movie scenes' to help illustrate the point that they were trying to make. I get what they were trying to do there, but it really distracted me from the main message.

It felt very dramatized. But maybe that was needed in order for them to get their point across. Their point being that social media companies are controlling our lives, and therefore controlling the entire world. But the drama didn't even feel real it felt scripted.

There were a few moments that shocked me and surprised me, such as the statistics between young girl's suicide rates and social media use.

They explain why social media is bad and how it's going to poorly affect the world, but they don't offer much of a solution.

There was a lot of facts and information thrown around that was shocking but also just too much to process. Again, the 'movie scenes' distracted from the actual facts.

Also the clips of the 3 dudes pretending to be AI in the kids phone were really awkward and cringe.

Overall I like what this documentary was trying to do, I just think it could've been done better.
