Personality:

Despite his seemingly constant stern expression, Alek is actually a huge goofball. His jokes don't usually land with anyone outside of his family however. Since Alek made himself grow up quickly, his childish side tends to pop out rather unexpectedly.

Alek is incredibly responsible, maybe even to a fault. He puts taking care of his family first, before any of his own needs. It's clear to anybody that Alek cares for his family a lot, especially his two younger siblings. Alek isn't the type to complain about anything, simply silently pushing himself through any trouble he encounters.

In a small, two bedroom house.

Occupation:
During the day he works at a warehouse, and he works nights as a waiter.

Backstory:

Alek's family was poor way before he was born, so Alek grew up with it. Obviously, when he was little, Alek didn't even realize that they didn't have as much as other people. He liked the hand-me-down clothes and toys he got from his cousins, and eating a lot of hot dogs and speggetti didn't bother him in the slightest.

When he was seven, his little brother was born. Alek helped out as much as he could, but there wasn't much he could do to lift the burden of two children from his parents. Still, he never heard his parents complain.

As soon as Alek was old enough, he started looking after his brother after school so his mother could go back to working full time. Of course, she was home soon enough when his little sister came along.

Around this time, Alek was beginning middle school. Oddly, this seemed to be around the time that the other kids started caring about who had money and who didn't. Alek started getting bullied, but he kept silent about it to his parents and just focused on keeping his grades up. After all, he'd realized his only chance of ever going to college was through a scholarship.

Alek slept less and less, balancing school and taking care of his siblings really taking a toll. It only got harder when he took on a part time job to begin helping out financially.

When he graduated high school, Alek made the decision to stay home instead of going away to collage. He got two jobs, one while his siblings were at school and one after his parents got home. The extra money was helping out a little, and his younger siblings were able to have just a little more than Alek had growing up. It made him happy to see them so happy.
