06 : Betrayal

“All those hugs and affection, it was all fake, right? All done just to satisfy yourself, right? All this making me fall in love and then leaving me, breaking my heart, it was all your plan, right?” He spat maliciously.

Hurt, anger, hate, she could see all of it in his eyes. But what broke her was the broken look in his eyes. The broken, lost and numb look which she would never forget and forgive herself for.

She remained silent while looking down, feeling broken herself. Hating herself for doing this. But gathering herself, she looked up with empty, hollow eyes.

He was staring at her intensely, trying to look past her facade, trying to read her.

But as soon as he saw her empty gaze, he walked away angrily, hiding his own emotions.

Her gaze followed his back until she could no longer see him. As soon as he was out of sight, tears started streaming down her face without her permission. She turned her gaze away hastily before wiping her face and walking away.

It was her fate after all, she had to face it.
