Chapter 3: Something Bearly

Cubbonyan was having a good conversation with Jack as his kid went off to see Nathaniel Adams, Nate's grandfather in his kid age

Oynyan frolic around to see Hovernyan flying above the entrance of the treehouse HQ, "Who dares entering Moximous Max's headquarters!" A muffled voice said

"It is I, Bearly Ouji-Youjinyan, son of Bearly Cubbonyan, grandson of the late Bearly Cuddly! I demand your entryway to your palace" he commanded him playfully

"Very well, you may enter" Hovernyan lowered the rope ladder and he climbed up to the treehouse

"What brings you here, is there another Yokai that needs my help?" Nathaniel said

"No, it's about my papa, he's starting to feel weird and my aunty and uncles tried to explain that he can't accept my late aunty and grandpa's fate" Oynyan explained

"I know how it is, it is hard to accept that" said Hovernyan

"But what shall I do to help dad out?" Oynyan asked

"I think an intervention helps, but it's not that time yet until things get serious from your dad" Nathaniel suggested

"Thanks Nathaniel, you are my hero to thank" he thanked him

"Well it's about to be sunset, head home kid" the human asked him to leave and he went back home, "can I have more time with papa? I guess I should" he went inside and heard his father's phone ring, "hello?" Oynyan called

"Oh Oynyan! Thank goodness you're here, hey, is your dad home?" Matcha called back in a joyful response

He looked around the house and noticed his mom, "Mom, where's papa?" Oynyan asked Kukurihime

"Well he went off to help Jack with his chores in the future. Is there someone on the phone?" She asked

"Yes, but it's one of my cousins." He called back to Matcha, "he's not here right now"

"Good, It would be quick. Listen, you know the story of how your dad defeated the foe that took the life of Grandpa Cuddly?" Matcha asked

"Yeah why?" He replied

"He's awakened once again and who is the one to blame... watchers! I knew he should've placed his body at the timeline of when Dame Deadtime succeeded her mission to get rid of the Yokai Watch for good. Recently, he is awakened by Katie according to recent reports, snack on her Whisper's Yokai pad, went to the Ed's' world and ate Kevin's bike and took Ed himself, but nothing so far... stupid static" Matcha explained

"So our enemy has returned?" He said

"I'm home!" Cubbonyan called, "just forgot my phone"

"Oh hi papa, how's Jack?" He asked

"Good, a battle went terribly wrong and we have to fix it with duck tape" Cubbonyan sighed, "anyway, is someone on the phone?"

"Just only my cousin Matcha, I might visit him and his sister for a while" he said

"What did he called on my phone?" said Cubbonyan

"I told him you're not home right now and he said that I should spend more time with him" He lied

"You're right, he did call me earlier but you're present for calling them" Cubbonyan sighed, "very well, have dinner with us later so wash your paws"

"Okay papa" Oynyan smiled as he went outside to wash hands with the outdoor pump and a bar of soap

The forest grew darker as we followed the spider bear, she seemed familiar somehow, but I have no memory of her. Her six eyes made me feel perplexed about my origins, and her arms made my theory plausible.

"Where are you taking us?" Katie asked the unknown bear

She still remained silent as she sensed her home is close by, her hand placed upon a deep burrow, surrounded by vines and leaves acting as the cellar door

"Home" she said, "open" the door vines we're pulled away for us to enter

The inside of the burrow was something else, it holds a van, a fire pit, and a well of fresh ground water. "Close" she said as the vines returned to the door form

"It's been a pleasure to meet you, Katie, Jodan, and Ed, speaking with which, you might want to check this show out" she handed him the headphones and a tablet showing Kimetsu no Yaiba

"Cool" Ed agreed by watching the show as all of them continued their conversations

"Since he is distracted, I can only trust you three with my real name and place of hiding. My name is Bearlynda, but you can call me Lyn, I was part of the legendary Bear Kids. I only came to help a friend out, especially if it's my best friend and mentor." Lyn said as she embraced me with small tears in her eyes

"Lyn" I asked her

"Tell me Kuma no Ko, what is the first thing you've remembered?" She asked me

"Umm... I popped out of the ground in a rock concert" I answered

"Good try, no luck. I sensed both entities within this soul, one of which is the demon wisp" Lyn sighed

"I heard tales from the demon wisps, one from the archipelago has inspirited a Kawauso and became a head villain in the Kawauso Vs. Kappa wars. I don't ever recall hearing stories about good demon wisps" Jodan replied

"That's the thing, there are good wisps, but nobody believed in those things, especially my brother and father. But I wanted to share some things with you about the real story. Remember the Second Bearly Impact?" She asked

(Flashback)

A blast of a white pillar shoot up towards the sky and Katie was riding her bike one day during sunset. She stopped and looked at the pillar with awe.

Jodan was packing up his belongings quietly as he was about to run away from home. He left his chambers and ran past his own father's room to leave the castle and saw the same light as he headed towards the boat, "what a majestic light, oh well! Time to become one of the Hard Rock Trolls!"

Ed looked upward as he begins to head back home, the pillar shines bright to him and immediately he says, "Hello light"

(End Flashback)

"The light somehow lured me, but I got it under control of myself" Katie explained to Lyn

"I would've gotten caught by monsters if that pillar didn't show up" Jodan replied

"This made me think about that age old question, how do my feet smell if they don't have a nose?" Ed recalled

"I remember alright! That light alarmed us to make the City-loving Nonfictioners stay away from the forest!" ??? Shouted

All gasped at something coming from the right but there is nothing there

"Wait a second..." Katie shined her Yokai Watch pendant light to see the Yokai in front of them, a pair of gray earbuds with small arms on the sides, a wispy light gray tail, crests on their heads, the buds are their single eye, the pointy mouths are under the eye and felt snarky towards people like Katie.

"You spotted us" One earbuds designed from the left said to the girl

"I WONT LET YOU GET AWAY THAT EASILY CITY GIRL!" The one meant for the person's right ear shouted in anger

"Cress! Dimi! Don't surprise them like that" Lyn assured them

"How can you see they're friendly?" The left one, Dimi, said to Lyn in such a worrisome manner

"THEYRE DESTRUCTIVE AS THEIR MINDS!" Said Cress, who is a loud yokai on the right side.

"Excuse me, how can you know these two?" Katie asked the three

"None of your business girl! Our story is a snore for you!" Cress shouted

"Well it is sad if you care to listen" said Dimi

"Can you tell me what happened when you're turned into Yokai. It's always a touchy subject" Jodan suggested

"How can I trust you? You always so careless!" Cress frowned

"They have to know our story! About how our master abandoned us in the woods without knowing" Dimi calmed him down, while Cress is shaking away the tears

"Please don't tell..." Cress was sobbing

"It was years ago, we were traveling with our master. Our master loves music and she loves the earbuds she's using. I felt like we're superior to her, but then..." Dimi teared up

"We're at the wooded park for a natural walk in the trails. Our master was with company, and she was astounded by the beauty of the wilderness. She thought about the calmness and the world were humans haven't existed or explored in the new world. She's forgotten how important we are to her..." the scene showed her owner looked calm and happy that her wireless earbuds fell off the case and left carelessly in the ground.

"As soon as she left the park, we knew what she's going to do next. She'll replace us with back ups and take our spot, forgetting that we ever existed." Dimi and Cress both cried and embraced each other

"There there..." Lyn comforted them, "as I was saying... the Second Bearly Impact was caused by the cursed me, who wanted to be put to rest for good. To me personally, I angered Bearly Cuddly, my father who loved me dearly, because I trusted the demon wisp who taught me more about art than the rest of the family. As I summoned Bearlygod, my family has fallen into slumber with their development drained out of them. I was a summoner, so I am the only witness who saw the whole thing. Down to one wish left, I decided to go with the one that made my father went to a coma-like slumber and the only way to wake him up is to have a developing soul to insert into the body to transfer the development very slowly. Sadly for the dying wisp, it's the last thing he remembered for me. Jumped away with a large, darkening form and I swear he looked sad as if he doesn't want this fate..." she explained

"Lyn... is that you ran off into hiding?" I told her

"How do you know?" She asked me

"Kill- Cubbonyan said that I might've murdered you and your father... which makes everyone think you're dead..." I sighed

"Kuma no Ko..." she sobbed, "I ran away cause I was afraid... they'll punish me severely for sacrificing my... I mean our father... the thing is that whenever I am happy to see the half of you... I am seeing my own brother. I am sorry that you are falsely accused of the sins they've given you..."

"I feel you Lyn, don't cry" I hugged her to soothe her sadness away

Katie took it as an opportunity to have this heart to heart, they all decided to have a group hug

"Sorry we entered in a sad situation... let's start over... I'm the Bearly Witch, these are my drumming friends from the walk trails, Cress and Dimi!" She greeted them

"Hello!" Both buds spoke kindly

"Hi! Hello!" The other three greeted back

"Now that we all are acquainted with everyone here, I shall prepare a feast for them. You like Chicken and Waffles, don't you?" She asked Katie

"That would be wonderful, don't we agree?" Katie asked her group, "of course! I adore sweet and salty!" Jodan agreed

"More waffles for Ed!" Ed smiled

"You got it sir" Lyn said as she placed firewood onto the pit, "Cress, find something that can kindle fire. Dimi, keep watch for Fictioners outside, if they're in the way, call Cress immediately and inspirited them like you did with Boo-Boo!" She commanded them

"Yes ma'am!" Both buds split up to do their jobs

"Cloudless, spark up the power so I can toast waffles" She said to her car

"Roger that, Miss Bearly" Cloudless spoke

"I can use some beer up to this point!" I said

"Sorry, I kinda forgot how beers look like in the last five years... have a soda instead" She offered me a soft drink, a Yo-ca Cola

"Goodie..." I sighed as I drink

The young son of Cubbonyan has arrived at Bearcat Caverns, it was thriving with newcomers and was still a safe sanctuary for his uncles and cousins

"Matcha, Lychee, Wiccanyan!" Oynyan followed them to the playhouse for their personal meetings

"It's Oynyan! Is your father here still?" Matcha asked

"Nope, he agreed with me having a sleepover with you three" Oynyan smiled

"I bet he is, cause I can't wait to taste your enriched blood" Lychee smirked as she was sucking on a 'O' positive blood pack

"I don't think you can get away with bite marks on my body" Oynyan sighed

"Well the werewolf situation is getting rough but it is safe for now" said Matcha

"Wherewoolf" Wiccanyan cooed as she played with Lychee

"That's right little Wiccy" Lychee smiled

"Oynyan, it is up to us to know where The Bear Demon is right now, but we need to make sure none of the words should go straight to your papa. The problem is bigger and the nuisance, so we must take care of the problem as well as to keep quiet about the nuisance." Matcha explained as he gathered his green airbrush and Matcha is preparing her  scarlet airbrush

Oynyan's quill is like her father's weapon, but it only dips in traditional ink and the soft feather is sharpened into a naginata with the thin part became large and long for Oynyan to hold

Since Wiccanyan is a baby still, she cannot hold her weapons yet. Oynyan packed everything for her in a diaper bag, "now let's go meet our uncle"

Chapter 4 Preview

Lyn: you seemed a little uncomfortable

Katie: that's because I haven't gone to the bathroom yet

Lyn: ohh right, you guys are staying for a while... there is a bathroom over at the picnic area but it is out in the open, so I can't lead you to it without getting spotted

Ed: well I know what we should do, make a bathroom world and you should be fine

Lyn: even that doesn't work well, I normally don't need plumbing anyway

Katie: well I might just go do my business with the bucket

Lyn: that's sounds totally fine for me
