My eyes fly open. My breath is unsteady and my hands are shaking.

I have no clue why I'm so in shock right now or I have this unsettling feeling in my chest.

I take a look around the room. It seems as if everything is still in place. My pizza is exactly where I left it, but my water glass is knocked over. Maybe I kicked it in my sleep.

But did I even go to sleep?

My memory is horrible. I rub my forehead with the heel of my hand, closing my eyes as I do so.

Once I open them, I notice my new roommate is standing in the doorway. I glance at him. "What are you doing?"

"Watching you."

"Why?"

"Because it's apart of my assignment."

"Assignment?"

He nods as he walks out the door. He returns with a towel and begins to clean up my spilled water. "Sorry about that." I mutter.

"It's fine. You rolled over in your sleep and knocked it off the nightstand."

I furrow my eyebrows. "I went to sleep?"

He looks up. "Yeah. Why is that shocking?"

"Because I don't even remember falling asleep."

He shrugs as he picks up the now soaked towel. "Well, if it makes you feel any better I can't remember my dream from last night."

"That doesn't help at all." I rest my head in my hands. "I'm so forgetful now days." I glance over at the clock. It reads 8:34 AM. "I can't even remember your name." I mumble.

"Adrien the famous model, remember?" He yells from down the hall.

I lay my head back down and stare at the door until he returns. "Get up." He says.

"Why?"

"We're going out for breakfast."

I feel the biggest shit-eating grin arise on my face. "I'm allowed to leave?"

He chuckles under his breath and shakes his head. "Of course you are."

I let out a squeal as I climb out of bed and practically pull him into a bear hug. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank youuu!" I feel his body stiffen from my touch, I take that he isn't a hug person.

I clear my throat and look at the ground. "Sorry. But um, what do I wear?"

He seems to miss the concept of my question because he replies with, "Whatever you want."

I press my lips together and without a word walk over to my closet door and open it. "With what clothing?"

"Oh!" He pulls his phone out of his pocket. "C'mon, we're going to my room."

I follow him downstairs into his room. While he walks towards his closet I take this opportunity to look around.

It's dark. He owns a gaming chair. Along with a wall filled with books. The letters 'AA' are hung above his bed. I'm guessing those are his initials. "How long have you been living here?" I ask.

"I moved in yesterday, just like you." He says from the closest.

"And you've done all this in one day?"

"Oh no, full credit to my assistants and design crew." He pulls out a bag. "Ah, here it is!" He walks over to hand it to me.

"Clothes?" I ask. He nods.

"They may not be your size, but I'll have Alya take you shopping sometime tomorrow. I'm not that good with this girl stuff."

I nod while pulling the clothes out the bag. There's a matching set of undergarments, a nude brown sweatshirt, a plaid skirt, and some tights that were a shade darker than my skin tone.

He pulls out some brown heeled boots. "Now, my secretary read your file from some of your past homes to get your shoe size, so even if none of the clothes fit. The shoes most definitely will."

My grin is reaching my ears. "That's fine, thanks!" I grab the boots from his hand and sprint up to my room. Well, that is until I trip on what looks, "Cat ears?"

He grabs them from my hands and examines them. "Thought I put those away."

"Why do you even own them?" I say through a stifled laugh.

"Some girls are into role play, are you one of them?"

"Role play? Who woul—" Realization hits, causing my eyes to widen. "Adrien, ew!" I quickly scramble off the floor and head to my room, hearing his laughs fade behind me.

I quickly change into my clothes. Everything is a perfect fit. I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my makeup. Not a full face, but it's something.

"Marinette?" I hear him yell from downstairs.

"I'm coming!" I yell back. I practically tumble down the stairs due to the heels of my boots.

"You ready?" He says as he grabs his keys.

"Yeah."

I follow him out the building and into his car. Which happened to be a black and green sports car. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see." He hits the gas, sending us zipping through the streets. We pass the Eiffel Tower. Adrien must notice the bit of satisfaction I get in seeing it because he asks me, "You enjoy the famous tower, huh?"

I nod, too embarrassed to tell him about my lifelong dream of visiting the Eiffel Tower. How could someone live in Paris, but never visit the Eiffel Tower?

About 15 more minutes of straight driving, we arrive at a breakfast cafe called 'Holeybell 5.'

I'm stunned by the cafe.

Adrien comes around to open the door for me. Almost immediately the winter breeze hits my cheeks. I bury my face into my hands. He laughs. "Not used to the cold yet, huh?"

I shake my head.

"Here," he pulls me in close to his body. He puts his winter hat over my head and adjusts it to make sure it covers my ears.

We walk into the restaurant and Adrien heads straight to the front desk to get us a table. I begin to let my eyes wander around the place. Taking in every detail there is. I wonder if these people think I'm weird. Or maybe I blend in like everyone else and look normal for once.

"Marinette?"

"Huh?"

"C'mon, our table is ready." Adrien begins to follow the waitress as she takes us to our designated table.

"May I start you two off with drinks?" She ask.

Adrien is first to speak, "I'll have a—" The door swings open. A girl with a blonde ponytail and a yellow faux fur coat enters the building and she looks pissed.
