*sipping hot coco*hello my lovable psychopaths today I bring a rather interesting idea that I thought up earlier today about vampires with various types of vampires and how they could work in a possible book below is all I've come up with thus far

First off we have what I called vampire strains basically the different types of vampires that would exist and here they are!

Vamp strains!

Ferals
Ferals are the wild and savage vampires who embrace their animalistic natures usually their the size of an adult grizzly bear and have thick fur coats lining their chests that have sharp needles hidden in them their ears are folded down over their eyes due to the fact their eyes are highly sensitive to any form of light their are incredibly fast on the ground but are slow flyers when they turn into their human forms they often have more animalistic features such as slit like eyes longer canines and sharper nails an odd thing about them is they always prefer being outside then indoors they can't live three days without blood without risk of going berserk

Dracs
Dracs are your classic vampire they have natural hypnotic abilities and are masters of illusion they tend to be paler then humans and have eye colors that most humans can't have they also tend to be slightly more frail than humans because of this when hunting their prey they tend to go for weaker humans or those who wouldn't put up much a fight to begin with they can't live a month without blood without risk of going berserk

Oracles
Oracles are considered one of the weakest strains of vampire but they make up for that with their advance intelligence and ability to sense the world around them with pinpoint hearing their considered one of the weakest because their not very capable fighters so they often hunt in groups of 3 or 5 their slightly shorter then most humans usually averaging to about 5'3 or 5'2 in height though it's not uncommon to see one reach 5'5 they can't live 2 weeks without blood without risk of going berserk

Leeches
Leeches are usually described in two words and Bose words are bloodthirsty monsters leeches are considered the deadliest vampire strain due to their ability to use blood as a weapon they do this by making them into very basic weapons such as blades,axes or sharper claws but they also rival corpse vampires in the control they have over blood they usually have blood red eyes and always smell like blood they can't live 2 days without blood without risk of going berserk

Banshees
Banshees are literally the loudest vampire strain among the nine different strains their main ability takes a vampires normal echolocation up a few levels they've been compared to sound Amps their scream is considered strong enough to kill an fully grown adult by rupturing their eardrums because of this powerful sound though they often have hearing aids because their ears can't keep up with their new screams they also have ears like a bat they can't live 2 weeks without blood without risk of going berserk

Smokes
Smokes are one of the weakest vampires out there even an oracle can beat them in a fist fight but their also the only strain that can match their intelligence their ability to create most from their body is an huge advantage when the hunt since most of them can't fight properly without the aid of a weapon they can trap their prey in their most so they can feed off them when they least expect them to they can't live 3 weeks without blood without risk of going berserk

Goliaths
Goliaths are called what they are for a reason besides Gerald and their manbat form they are the only vampire strain that still have their ability to fly with most Goliaths having a wingspan of 7ft to 12ft they can make these wings disappear at any time they wish they also are considered the strongest in terms of raw physical strength most also become a height of 8ft often when they hunt they make sure it's not a crowded area so they can fly into the air and feed mid flight then hide the body somewhere on a rooftop they can't live 6 days without blood without risk of going berserk

Addicts
Addicts are considered to be one of the oddballs among the vampire strains due to their ability to produce poisons that can act similar to addictive substances normally they only go out at night for two primary reasons one unlike the other strains where they've all evolved to deal with sunlight they are the only one yet to gain his trait and so they can become extremely burned during the daylight hours and the second reason is they prefer darker seedier environments to hunt since their poisons mimic addictive substances their poisons can easily mimic a overdose they have  pale white hair and skin mimicking what people calm albinos they can't live 2 months without blood without risk of going berserk

Corpse
Corpse vampires are what some would call either a necromancer or a puppeteer for their ability to make blood strings that can act similar to muscles in whatever they connect with though they can overdo it and pass out because their ability is more taxing then a leech they work in pairs so they can hunt easier and they get along well with humans sense they can blend in easy though one very noticeable trait about them is their hands always looked blood stained so they often wear gloves they can't live 5 days without blood without risk of going berserk

So which one do you guys think you would be i personally feel like I either be a feral or a banshee

Now to explain what berserk means basically if they go over the limit of how long they can go without blood now depending on the strain they will berserk differently

For ferals it's basically what it sounds they go into a bloodthirsty rampage finding any food they can by food I mean blood until they pass out from eating to much or are killed

Dracs when they go berserk they basically let their illusions go wild not caring what people see be it their worst nightmares or what hell may be like

Oracles basically go into a frenzy attacking anything they pick up with their pinpoint hearing and sense they mostly hunt in groups that equals a lot more danger then one realizes

Leeches are well probably the most horrific when they go berserk they let out so much blood saying their soaked would be an goddamn understatement they basically become living piles of blood as they try and take in more blood

Banshees are actually only harmful to themselves when they go berserk sense most of their powers revolve around sound and their own hearing is normally messed up everything around them begins to overload where the smallest sound is like a gunshot to them until they take in blood

Smokes a little similar to both leeches and oracles they release so much mist they end up covering an area as large as something like a park and will attack anything the find wandering into this mist until it's dead for good

Goliaths become like birds of prey but instead of being a bird their a bat they'll stalk the skies for anyone or anything they can get their hands on and eat them right then and there regardless of it being crowed or not

Addicts become walking biohazards producing toxic fumes or toxic liquids from their mouths or eyes that being near them can put someone into a unstable critical condition if the person is a addict strain vampire they can handle it long enough for them to probably get them some blood

Corpses end up becoming somewhat like a poltergeist everything near them becomes under their control and will try and trap them until they feed off their blood

Now there's really only one way to stop someone from going berserk that is to let them have enough blood it doesn't matter if their also a vampire or human as long as it's blood in nature it can get them under control

Going berserk is nightmare come true for any vampire because they can't control themselves when their like that they could end up hurting loved ones friends or completely innocent peoples could cause them to end up dead themselves so really going berserk can be a death sentence well except for one group called

The ravers
They are a group of vampires who actually enjoy making other vampires go berserk watching them kill people and consider it an honor to go berserk these people are to be avoided at all costs be it human or vampire

Their methods of catching those who are about to become berserk are somewhat smart heavy on the somewhat part what they do is they track down vampires who they've stalked for weeks to find out when their going berserk then they beat them til their unconscious and take them to an area where they can keep them contained until they officially go berserk

These individuals are of the worst sort criminals gangsters drug addicts they will do anything to get some excitement and for them that's capturing vampires who need blood

Ok now that we've gotten out one of the darker factions I've made and onto another one who thinks their "holy"

The acolytes
These guys unlike the racers who just wanna have fun and don't care about the danger they cause the acolytes consider vampires as a whole a threat to society as a whole

The acolytes are made entirely up of holy men who take their beliefs to far often seeming like normal priests or monks but in reality have done things that have made them outlaws in their faiths this order started little while after the Black Plague when the vampire strains first began to become public knowledge

While they had good intentions at first these holy men began to suspect everyone could be a possible victim of the vampiric virus and so while this event was purged from history itself a crusade happened people died left and right even the Vatican at the time were horrified at how many of their priests,bishops,monks and other followers were causing this destruction

This event lasted five months without stop until they were finally driven to the darkness and became an organization of secrecy and manipulation they've only now in recent years have begun showing their true colors once again

Unlike the ravers they are calculating they actually know each different vampire strains weaknesses and exploit them like they will take advantage of a oracles weak body and poor combat abilities and so forth

Now as for the history this little world may have well I haven't made that yet but can at least say that vampiric virus first appeared during the last few centuries of the Roman Empire or around the time nero ruled and as existed since evolving and changing to better fit the world around it
