This is the chess board I made. I bought the wood and felt from a craft store. I had help drawing the squares and painted it myself. I hot glued the felt to the wood. I used Inventor(a 3D design software) to find out the ideal size of the squares; however, drawing perfect 1 in by 1 in squares on wood is not easy task.
