'My best friend, all mine.' 'no one else can have him, he's only mine.' 'why doesn't he return my affection any more?' 'I need his affection'

Drew's thoughts were spinning as he cuddled Dan. Dan refused to hug or cuddle back. But he shifted uncomfortably. It was a struggle. But Drew refused to give him up. He never ever wanted him to go. Never ever ever. This is his best friend forever and ever. Nobody else's. Only his. All Drew's.

Dan had been there for a full month now and was getting worn thin, he didn't know what to do anymore. He tried resisting all the kindness. Drew never once was mean to him. Drew just showered him in affection. Fiore didn't even do anything. She just watched from time to time. As if she was making sure Dan didn't reject Drew.

Dan simply couldn't do anything but begrudgingly accept the affection of Drew. Even if it made him really uncomfortable. But there was something else that prevented him. Some memories. Drew was always so sweet to him. So very sweet.

Dan sighed a bit. He wanted to go home. But he knew Drew wouldn't let him go unless he went along with what Drew wanted. He didn't know that doing so will open the flood gates of his brain. He pet Drew's head. Drew could tell he was just doing this to get Drew to let him go. Drew pretended it made him happy. Then straightened up.

"You wanna leave the room?"

"Yes... Please"

"oki doki! Then come on!"

Drew led him out, a big smile on his face. Dan found the smile adorable. Something twitched in his chest. He realized it was the same feeling he had when he first saw Drew. He tried to push the feeling down but it just started growing. Was this Stockholm Syndrome settling in? Dan didn't know. And it was terrifying. He held Drew's hand and just smiled at the smaller boy.

Everything he did just seemed so very sweet to Dan. He almost didn't want to ever part from him ever again. He wanted to take care of this young boy. Help him through everything he needed to have help with. Treat him as if he was the closest person to Dan.

The Stockholm Syndrome had taken affect on Dan's mind. It was eating away all logic about the situation. All Dan could think of was taking care of Drew. Treating him as if he was just a sweet caring boy and not a deranged murderer who not only killed three people but also summoned a crazed demon child.

It was like his glasses had rose colored lens and he couldn't see the red flags anymore. He only saw the sweet adorable boy he had seen back on the bus at camp in January. He wanted to hold and hug this guy. He wanted the best for his new friend. His only friend. His brain had blanked on every having any other friend. His mind was filled with only Drew now. His one true best friend and soulmate.

Fiore had set plates out with food. She sat at her usual spot and smiled at the duo and their hand holding. She saw Dan's look and was absolutely ecstatic. She could tell his mind finally caved for the affectionate boy she called her brother. That made her happier than ever. Now she didn't have to suggest a lobotomy.

After they ate the suspicious but good and healthy food Fiore had carefully prepared, Drew was cuddling Dan on the couch. He still looked really uncomfortable but he was partially accepting it. It was like a mixture of uncomfortable and joy. Now what was the word for that. Oh well. It's not important to Fiore or Drew and Dan has forgotten it in this moment.
