"Where's Ghost Girl?" Maya asked, fear laced her voice for the semi-mute girl.

"Wait." AK turned to where his friend was a few seconds ago. "When did she leave?!"

"Don't know..." Amelia said, slowly backing out of the vault before running.

"Whenever it was, we need to find the both of them!" Nick spoke, walking out of the vault.

Katelyn ran across the halls, searching for her friend.

Sure it was reckless but she didn't really care.

"Hey! Ghost Girl!" She heard someone call out to her.

Turning around, still running, she saw Amelia coming at her with full speed.

"What?" Katelyn forced out, that being the first word she was able to saw completely.

"Listen, we have to be careful incase we run into Ross." Amelia had caught up to Katelyn and was now jogging next to her.

"Hm, so you're trying to avoid me?" A new voice echoed throughout the hall.

Katelyn stopped, Amelia following suit in confusion.

The doctor stepped out from the shadows, not a care on his face.

Slowly, Katelyn started backing up with Amelia staying planted in the ground.

"Amel-." Katelyn looked over at Amelia, being cut off by her own failing voice.

As Amelia turned back to face Katelyn, Kate noticed Ross move towards her new friend.

As if on instinct, she ran towards her friend and the doctor.

Sabrina raced down the hallway, searching for the two missing and the runaway with everyone else close behind her.

That was, until they heard a walker groan.

"Guys, walker." Sky took out his gun and Sabrina took out the frying pan that she forgot she had, everyone following Sky's example.

But they were not prepared to see who walked down that aisle.

Ross had brought out another needle, preparing to take at least one of the girls down with him.

Katelyn grabbed Amelia and shoved Ami behind her.

Ross just barely missed Amelia's leg, obviously upset he lost that chance so easily.

And he wasn't about to miss this time.

As Katelyn was shoving Ami behind her to protect her, Ross had gone for another jab.

He aimed for Katelyn this time.

Sabrina rose her pan as Sky prepared to shoot the walker heading towards them.

"Goat...." It moaned.

Sky's eyes widened, not prepared for what had appeared in front of him.

Barney was there.

But it wasn't all of him.

After Ross jabbed at Kate, Amelia pulled Kate back towards her and took her hand.

As Kate was trying to register what was happening, Amelia started to run with her in tow.

Barney didn’t stop, he kept going

"No!" Jess repeated, sobbing.

"Barney?!" Sky called out to what used to be his friend, what was left of his friend.

"That's not Barney anymore!" AK looked at Sky. "You have to shoot!"

"You can't shoot Barney, he's our friend!" Jess cried.

Amelia dragged Katelyn towards the yelling in the distance, still having an iron grip.

Kate started to slow and cough a bit, dragging Amelia to slow as well.

"Katelyn. We need to continue onward." Ami turned to the Ghost friend, her features slowly getting more ghost-like.

“Barney please, don’t do this! Snap out of it!” Sky aimed his gun and kept pleading.

“You need to shoot, he’s not going to stop.” AK turned to Sky.

“No you can’t shoot Barney, he’s our friend!” Jess argued as Sabrina had Jess weeping on her shoulder 

“That’s not Barney anymore, you have to shoot!” Shark shook his head.

AK and Shark could be heard egg him on until there was a cry of frustration and a trigger being pulled.

Sabrina looked to the ground, a single tear falling from her face.

The girls heard the gunshot.

"Oh no..." Amelia stopped, Katelyn stopping as well. "That cannot be good."

Katelyn tried to sign something to Amelia, but didn't have much success.

Due to Amelia not knowing hardly any sign language, all she could do was guess.

Katelyn's hands moved in a way that looked like an N, a shark fin, a gun, an S, a J, a sun, and a G.

"The others?" Amelia's head tilted to the side, not knowing what half of it meant.

"Ye-." Katelyn forced as Amelia took Katelyn's wrist, and started running again.

Sky fell to the floor, tear falling down his face like a waterfall.

Sabrina had handed Jess off to who she believed to be called Maya and Ryan, then walked towards the weeping Sky.

She whispered reassuring words into his ears as everyone else seemed to be in waterworks.

"Guys!" A voice shouted from the end of the hall.

"Amelia!" Nick ran over to the voice as two figures came out from the hall.

One looked every bit like Amelia, almost no changes.

But the changes were real in Katelyn. She had gone at least two skin shades lighter, which Sabrina thought was impossible. Her hair seemed to start to loose all pigment, turning all white. Her eyes though, was the most noticeable.

(I don't remember if I have ever stated the eyes colour sooooo shush if I get it wrong.)

Her eyes were now an extremely white, pale blue that even effected the pupils into going a bit lighter and dilated. This was a noticeable change from her original deep blue and brown eyes.

She also seemed to be very out of breath.

"We heard gunshots, what happened?" Amelia asked quickly, looking at the broken Sky kneeling on the floor.

"Barney..." Sabrina started but couldn't finish, as if something were caught in her throat.

Ryan and Maya tried calming the tear waterfall that was Jess, probably failing by the sound of Jess's screams.

Nick seemed to try to pick up where Sabrina left off but couldn't, he just pointed to the corpse that was Barney.

Although it seemed that Barney was the only one affected, Katelyn's legs suddenly gave out and she fell limp.

Everyone started screaming, causing everything to move in slow motion.
