I held my head from falling into the desk, I was so sleepy. The last days of the weekend I had researched racing of all kinds and I even tried to find a place to try some tricks in my car.

"Hey, you're sleeping again" Serena whispered. My eyes fluttered open and I cleared my throat.

"Mrs. D is so boring. I can't believe it" I whined in a whisper. Serena nodded her head in agreement.

My phone chimed once again, I had gotten a text an hour ago, but I didn't think of it till now when another one chimed in.

I slid my phone out and saw who texted me, it was Dax and Jake.

Jake:
Hey, I might be a little late from picking you up, your car is not finished yet.

Dax:
Hey, haven't heard from you since Saturday. Did I scare you off?

Jake's message made me shrug while Dax' made me blush a bit.

Serena nudged my arm and I looked up at her. "Who's making you blush like that? Is it Marcus again? You stalking his Instagram again?" Serena rambled.

I glared at her in response.

"No, I met someone this weekend. He asked for my number, now he's texting me this" I say and show her.

"Dax? Hmm, bad boy name, delicious! Fuck him. Literally—fuck him!" Serena said a little too loud at the last end of her sentence.

"Serena!" Mrs. D. Gasped and she smiled sheepishly.

"I am trying to prepare you for your finals, young lady!" Mrs. D. gasped.

"And you're doing great!" Serena praised her, she smiles proudly, before resuming to her boring teaching. She didn't realize Serena was being sarcastic at all, the students around us laughed a little.

"You're embarrassing me" I mumble and try to hide my face. "Oh shut it. Bring him home—wait no, scratch that. Bring him somewhere else and fuck him" Serena encouraged me.

I cringed and gave her a disgusted look.

"No! Are you crazy? I'm not just gonna hand it out to anyone I meet?" I say and she giggles.

"I'm just helping you lose your virginity, babe" Serena whispers and I hit her shoulder.

"I don't need your help. It will happen when it happens" I whisper shout at her.

She put her hands up in surrender before pretending to focus on Mrs. D.

I pulled my phone back up and I started to write back to Dax.

Alexandra:
No, don't worry. I've been busy :)

As soon as I sent the text I cringed at my smiley. I sounded like I had a hard and busy life, like I was popular, when all I had done the rest of the weekend was to research about racing.

Embarrassing. Just pure embarrassment.

I assumed Dax had seen my embarrassing text and decided not to respond. As the day went by, I hadn't gotten an answer.

I walked out of the school with Serena and we both raised an eyebrow as multiple girls were gathered around something near the pick up spot.

I shrugged before glancing at my phone in case Jake had texted, because he wasn't here.

Serena waited five minutes with me as I finished telling details of this Saturday.

Finally some of the girls moved from the crowded spot, my jaw dropped when I saw why.

It wasn't Jake who was coming to pick me up, he had sent Marcus and all of the girls at my high school were swooning over him.

He waved at me to hurry me up as he finally spotted me. "You've got to be kidding me!" I hiss and Serena starts laughing.

"It's so ironic! You have the biggest crush on him and now he's picking you up from school on his motorcycle" Serena laughed and wiped her tears of laughing so much.

I glared at her till she was done. "I'm done" she said as her laughter started to die.

"I gotta go, I'm gonna call you tonight" I tell her and she nods before pecking my cheek.

I sigh before walking over to Marcus and all the girls.

"Hey, finally you made it!" Marcus says with a certain desperation to his voice.

I shrug and he hands me his spare helmet. He gets on the motorcycle and put his own helmet on, I get on after him.

I was so uncomfortable getting onto that motorcycle in front of all the skinny popular girls.

I hated it. It was all my bullies. Everyone saw.

"Oh my god" Some whispered and I held onto the handle on the back. Marcus looked back at me and I directed my gaze to my thighs.

He decided to take off slowly, I usually would've put my hands around his waist, but this was in front of my bullies.

I didn't want new rumors, I was just only getting rid of the old ones.

"You good?" He asks me at a red light. I nod without using words and he looks back.

We stay quiet on the whole ride back to my brothers vehicle workshop.

Marcus pulls into the garage and I see Jake working on my car.

"Hey man" Jake called out and bro hugged Marcus as he got off.

I got off as well and took his spare helmet off, I gave it to him without looking at him, I walked up to Terry and Claire and leaned against the old Dodge.

"Hey Alex" Claire said with a smile. "Hey" I say with a small smile.

"What's wrong?" Terry asks me and I shrug. "Nothing. I'm fine" I lied.

Truth was that the whispers, stares, the humiliating and the bullying was effecting me once again.

It was a shitty Monday. I hate Monday's.

God knows that I do, they should belong in hell and in hell only.

Claire sends Terry a look and he holds his hands up in surrender, before he stops working on the dodge, he walks away to join Marcus and Jake.

Claire walks up to me and puts an arm around my shoulder.

"Still being bullied? They never stopped did they?" Claire asks and I shake my head negatively.

I had always been a bully victim, something about me attracted bullies. So I started lying and said nobody bothered me anymore.

Claire sighed before standing in front of me. "Help me fix this dodge challenger and I'll let you have a spin in it" Claire says and I give her a small smile.

"I don't know anything about car—""—Oh don't even start, I know you're a genius. It's only a matter of time before you can disassemble a car engine and assemble it again" Claire retorted and I blushed at her words.

I said I was a nerd didn't I?

Once I find an interest in something I immediately research it and get really nerdy in it.

"Fine!" I give up and she smirks at me and we begin as I strip my jacket off and pull up my sleeves.

We fixed the car within a half hour and then we went driving. Claire drove it to an empty parking space and we switched sides.

"Do a burnout" Claire demanded and my eyes widened at her demand.

I never did a burnout before. "I-I don't know how to" I stutter shocked and embarrassed.

"With your foot on the clutch, bring up the revs—how many rpms depends on what car you're driving—and simply lift your left foot up. Before your car gets moving, quickly stand on the brake pedal while keeping your right foot on the gas, and if you've done it right, your rear tires should be making clouds" Claire explains everything to detail and I took a deep breath as I analyzed her words and imagined it in my head.

I made an attempt and succeeded in first try. Claire cheered wildly and looked at me in amazement.

I laughed as I remove my foot from the brake and I race down the parking lot.

Now, burnouts I hadn't tried, but drifting—I had.

I drifted around a lamppost. I grinned as Claire whooped wildly in the passenger seat.

I took off down the road and drove back to my brothers garage.

I pulled up the driveway, the engine roared loudly, making my brothers and Marcus turn to us in surprise.

The surprise was nowhere near the surprise on their faces when it was me who stepped out of the drivers side.

"What the—""—CLAIRE!" Jake shouted as he interrupted Terry and Marcus.
