Purples, pinks, and blues,

In a land of soft hues,

As the leaves in the trees,

Complement the view,

A familiar feeling,

Only defined by color,

From the grass at our feet,

And the sky that defines summer,

For a world around us,

That we now cannot greet,

An untouched canvas,

That only few meet.

Purple, pink, and blue,

In a scarce land of soft hues,

Found only in the homes,

We have not tried to renew,

Only in the places,

That can be found by few,

Untouched by the hands,

That couldn't stay true.

Purple, pink, blue,

Colors of a land,

Too scarce to renew,

The eyes of man,

The hands of the cruel,

Touched by the hands,

That couldn't stay true,

Purple, pink, and finally blue,

A land that was only,

Touched by few.
