"I love you." He whispered in your ear. You felt warm inside and melted even more into his embrace. He smiled and kissed your cheek slowly, rubbing your face softly with his fingers. He knew you liked this gesture most of all.

He left you there, sitting besides him as his arms enveloped you in a tight hug on a rainy Christmas Day. You only thought of the future. Your future, and Sammy's as well.

Now that you were alone, where would he go? With you? With your grandma? Or maybe stay with YangYang for sic months until you can take him in? Nonetheless, you knew one thing.

He has to go with me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything was black around you. You just stood there, looking around at absolutely nothing. It was just silent, no noise whatsoever. You tried to make some kind of noise, hearing nothing come out of your throat.
You had called out his name. Chenle. And yet nothing was heard. You knew your mouth was moving, but everything was pitch black around you. And then you fell out of the sky.
Landing hard, you look around.
A field? What the fuck?
There were sunflowers and roses everywhere. You inhaled the smell of the beautiful flowers, smelling something so sweet from the sunflowers. As you looked at the roses, they were all white. You went over to them and sniffed them, feeling nice again from the sweet smell.
There was this one rose however, that slowly and in small patches, it was staining red, looking this deep and beautiful color.
Feeling weird about it, you still approach it, feeling an odd breeze follow.
Sometimes when it was spring in Korea, you knew this breeze might come because of a thunderstorm. It felt too familiar to you.
You remembered the feeling mostly when you would leave school and start running to your house because of the thick raindrops that fell from the sky as it cried. The breeze is unforgettable, almost nostalgic.
It was warm and yet, it managed to make all the hairs on your arm stick up and then some goosebumps to form right after.
Stepping closer to the single red rose, you pluck it out from the ground.
Your finger didn't get caught on any of the thorns which was a relief, but the smell of blood was still there.
You didn't know where the putrid smell of blood was coming from. It got closer every time you lifted the rose to your nose.
Smelling it again, the smell of the iron and blood was so strong, you almost gagged. It was horrible to smell it. And this rose didn't smell like the other white ones. So why is it different?
Looking around the dreamland, you see the other roses get stained red from their original white color. The smell of blood was horrible and easy to distinguish.
And yet, there was this other smell. It was like perfume almost. Trying to recognize the smell, it was somewhat familiar. Almost like you had grown up knowing it.
Realizing what it was, only one thought crossed your mind.
Dad.
It was the cologne he always wore. You know exactly what it was now.
Looking around, you were panicking, feeling your heart speed up.
"D-dad!" You called out. Your eyes glance from place to place all around the meadow that stank of your father's blood.
"(Y/N)." You hear. You look at the direction of the voice, seeing your father on his hospital bed, his face becoming pale. He repeated your name, over and over again.
Your eyes snapped open as you jolt up in the bed. You were panting hard, imagining the pale and dead face of your dad as he called out your name.
"Baby are you okay?" You hear a voice. Looking next to you, you see Chenle in his usual plain white shirt and adidas sweat pants.
Tears brimmed on your eyes as you collapsed onto him. You sobbed in his arms, remembering what happened earlier that night. His arms enveloped you as you cried in his arms.
He smiled bitterly, trying his best to console you. He was back to square one. He wanted to help you move on, but it wasn't really working if you kept on crying and sobbing about it.
He knew you were hurt. He didn't think it would be this bad, though. His body encompassed yours in a tight and warming hug. Your tears flooded down your face and onto his shirt. He sighed and placed his head on top of yours.
His hand strokes your hair as you hug him back tightly. You sniffled away your tears, hanging onto his shirt.
"Feel better?" He asked you. You sniffed and nodded.
"Did you wake me up?" You looked up at him. He nodded and stroked your hair as you leaned your head on his shoulder. Your gaze landed on the case on your new phone that had a new clear case with all of the pictures of you two littered inside it.
"You started sweating and crying so I just had to wake you up." He said softly. The tone in his voice was even sweeter than before. It was as if his voice dripped honey from how sweet he sounded.
"Sorry I woke you up." You apologized. He shook his head, seeing no reason for you to apologize to him. You had the right to still be scared, so there was no reason for him to be angry. He knew you were just hurting.
"Don't apologize. You don't need to." He said, his lips were hanging around your ear, breathing softly. Your arms went to hug him around his shoulders, feeling him kiss your cheek.
"Can we stay like this? Just like this and right here?" You asked. He kissed your cheek and nodded. He nuzzled his nose around your neck, kissing your skin lightly.
"We can stay like this forever if you want." He replied. You giggled lightly and felt him kiss your cheek again. "Gosh you're so cute."
"Stop~" You whined lightly, sniffing away your tears and laughing really lightly. He smiled seeing how you were getting happier and forgetting the nightmare.
"Never." He stated. You rolled your eyes and felt him kiss your cheek yet again. You lean back a little, seeing how he stared into your eyes. Your hands wiped away the hair from his eyes. His arms were wrapped around your waist as you sat on his lap, staring back up at him.
"Thank you." You said, smiling tiredly. He couldn't help but just beam at your answer and kiss your lips from the happiness he felt. Why was he happy? Well, it was just because he was glad he made you forget about it for a while. Even if he only gave you temporary happiness right now, he didn't really mind since he loved you so much.
"I should actually thank you for letting me kiss you." He smiled. You scoffed lightly at his response and felt him lay farther down onto the bed, bringing you close to him. You gasped lightly and felt his arms wrap securely over your waist. He was prepared to give you as much love and attention as you needed. He didn't find it bothersome at all.
In fact, he found it special since you weren't too much of a fan of PDA or skinship. You thought it would show you being really clingy and all annoying, when Chenle was surprisingly fond of it. You didn't expect or imagine that he was fond of it.
"Are you comfortable?" He asked, wanting to make sure you were alright. You hummed and laid your head down on his chest, snuggling up against him.
"I'm feeling just fine." You smiled softly. He smiled to himself, feeling accomplished. He made you happy. That was enough for him
"As long as you're happy, I am too."
