Eritria's POV

I opened my eyes because of this burnt thing engulfed my sense of smell.

  I quickly got up and followed the unwanted odor that led me to the kitchen with the white head facing his back to me.

 I scanned the whole messed up kitchen with burned pans, spilled oil, and a ton of rejected burnt hotdogs.

 "What the heck Thun--" I was cut off when he turned to look at me holding this plate with I think egg, hotdog, and bacon well it's barely recognizable since it is covered with burnt surface making it completely black.

"Breakfast for you," Thunder said with a smile across his face.

 I can't help it. The corners of my lips lift up knowing he went to all this trouble just to prepare breakfast for me.

 "I know everything is burnt, It's ok if you won't eat it," he said while scratching the back of his neck.I just snatch the plate and motioned him to come.

 "Let's eat," I said while giving him a thankful smile.

 That meal is the greatest I ever had. I'll gladly accept it knowing he put so much effort in it, It flashed back to me while looking at the peaceful sky. Were here at the mini-park of the school, brainstorming about the next report in Sir. Levi's class.

 "So I think we must just focus on how does the ball changes its trajectory in its own will," Lucas said while illustrating the movement of the ball in the hologram Sir. Levi handed earlier. This helps us to make our imagination more accurate and vivid.

 "What if we just report on how is the total speed of it every minute per second? We could use the ACD method Mr. Levi taught us last week," As usual the math genius, Norman. He explained it all while jotting down the formulas.

 "Guys, can't we just take a break first? We already finished our classes, and aren't you all drained out to Sir. Felix's deciphering codes earlier?" As usual, the type of member in the group who is always drained out. Emma.

 "What if--" thunder was cut off by the sudden strange action of Lucas.He stood as he's eyes are somewhat shocked? He suddenly runs towards the forest which is also a part of the school. And of course, we followed him because I can feel it, somethings wrong.

" What's the matter? Lucas can you slow down might as well tell us why the heck are you acting weird?" Elijah asked the question I am dying to know too.

 Still, Lucas pace speed never decreased. "Clementine," he said while still roaming his eyes around hoping to see her.

 Clemy...

 Now to think of it she just excused that she'll go to the restroom. At first, it's been weird on how long and she hasn't got back, I'm feeling somethings wrong but I just set it aside coz' maybe I'm just paranoid. This is my fault if I act sooner about my hunch clemy wouldn't have been...

I can sense her," Lucas said while we're going deeper and deeper to the woods.And finally, Lucas stopped as we see clementine with chase her husky dog. And what's weird is an arrow with blood in it.That made me more nervous as we head towards clementine while leaning on the tree looking like her energy has been drained.

Wait don't tell me...

 "Clemy!" Lucas said with worriedness plastered in his crimson eyes while holding clementine in his arms.

 "What happened?" Lucas asked her while also glancing to chase but clementine seems so tired to even speak a word. I guess she used her ability to chase since clemy doesn't have any injuries.

 "I think we better aid clementine first her mana decreased over 45 percent," Norman said while checking clementine's pulse.

"W-water please," Clementine hardly whispered.

"I'll go," Cascade said without wasting time and shapeshift into a bird. I guess she'll grab the bottle of water left behind in our table.

 "I have a mana boost in my room created for situations like this," I said while also panicking. I know I shouldn't. But I can't help it, I'm worried about clementine's condition.

 "I'll check it now!" I said I was about to go when Emma
stopped me.

 "It's better if you stay here and protect Clementine there is a high probabity that the bad guys are still around," she said as she start running towards the dorm.

 "Wait here Eri, Elijah and I will roam around I bet the intruder is still here," he said while scanning the whole area hoping to find clues that will lead to the unsuspecting intruder.

 "Stay safe and better come back," I said before Thunder runoff.

 "I will," he said as they finally went deep in the woods and slowly lost in my sight.

 Lucas is still calming clementine, so she won't drain more of her mana and faint. I think due to the unexpected scenarios. I quickly scanned the arrow, "Where the heck it came from," I mumbled while looking deeply in the arrow made of iron that is coated with blood.

 Emma's POV

 I pressed the button to floor number 7 and as soon as the door opened I rush towards Eritria's room, I need to get the mana boost as soon as possible. But the problem arises once I faced Eritria's door, only to find out I forgot to ask for the keys!

 I'm not that strong to break the door instead... my eyes landed on the knob.

I quickly take off my pin which I use whenever my hair get's into the way.

If I don't have strength then I'll use my mind. Just for once.

 I successfully entered by lockpicking. This was also taught by Mr. Levi for emergency purposes. Thank god my brain cells are working today.

 I quickly search inside their bedroom, drawers, bookshelves, bathroom, kitchen, cabinets even in the bed but the mana boost is nowhere to be found!

 "Ok, calm down Emma think thoroughly and scan the area for more possibilities Eri could have hidden it," I said to myself while inhaling and exhaling.

 I analyzed the surrounding to look if I miss something. And my eyes traveled at the top of their cabinet.

There! the mana boosts contained in a capsule designed to store mana or energy itself. It is at the top of the luggage!I quickly grabbed the chair nearby to reach the mana boost because the cabinet is too tall!!

 But being the clumsy me the luggage and the capsules toppled over me making me lose my balance and be welcomed at the hard floor.

 "Ugh," I groaned, "This is not the time for your clumsiness Emma!" I said to myself while trying to get up.The clothes are all out of the luggage now.

What a mess!I'm about to reach the capsule when I saw a ring slipped in a hidden pocket of the luggage.

"Well, Eri will kill me if this ring would be lost," I said to myself while motioning to reach for it.

Eritria's POV

 "WHY IS EMMA TAKING TOO LONG!!" I frustratedly said.

 "Lucas I'll go check Emma, clementine should take the mana boost as soon as possible!" I stated.

 "Sure, leave Clementine to me," Lucas said without even glancing at me. He must be so worried.

"Go ahead, don't worry about us," Cascade said while helping Clementine to be hydrated.

"I need to hurry up," I said to myself while running towards our dorm.

 Emma's POV

 I motioned to reach the ring only to encounter a big revelation that is about to hit me.

 As soon as I held the ring memories of it flashed through my mind.

 Eri's past.

 My hands kept trembling and I fell on my knees with those terrifying scenes flash through my mind. I can't help it tears started to race down in my face.

 "H-how?" I muttered while still trembling and keep having these goosebumps.

 Gunshots, screams, continuous tears, countless pleading, arrows, promises, vanquished hope, violence, Pain everywhere.

 And I sobbed like hell as I finally saw the girl who owns this past.

Eri.

 "Why the heck are you crying Emma?!" she said while I looked deeply in her grey eyes that I thought was just normally blank but what's true is it hides thousands of secrets. Kept in the dark never been spoken.

 "H-how? How did y-you survive in that t-terrible bloodbath p-past?" I said as I finally let go of the ring which made it roll towards her.

 "Why do you have my promise ring?"
