This is the start of a new drawing, I'll be going step by step!
In this first pic, you can see a pretty clear out line of what's going to be there. I have always drawn off of photos and never really done the head shapes and angles until about 4-5 months ago. My true talent may be looking at the photo and drawing it, but I have realized marking all the indicators for features is very important!

So my next step was to LIGHTLY outline in pen. Nobody's perfect we all make mistakes, which is why I always outline in light pen before going into darker stuff incase I mess up.
If you look, you can see that his head is slightly twisted but the shoulders stay to the diagonal. I did not find that too challenging to draw.
REMEMBER! In order to make the drawing look anatomically correct, the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth cannot be just in a strait line!!!! That is the most common mistake I have made in the past, the markers on the face will tilt or be larger or smaller depending on the angle of the head!

So after getting a light outline I begin to darken the pen on the male character, notice how his mouth is not all one straight line. I learned this technique after many years of drawing from the manga and reading them, it can truest make a vast improvement to the look of the drawing.
For shading, darkest where the head is tilted, gradually getting lighter. It takes a while, but if you keep your patience the out come is really worth it!

In this one, I have begun to darken the girls hair after out lining in light pen, note how her chin is a bit square and quite small. Her mouth has some separation in between the lines. And her eye lashes are not all the same length. If they all look the same length it just doesn't quite look so natural. They are spread out nicely and are both thick looking.

Now the girl has much more dark pen to her, and you can more clearly see how the lashes are not all the same length.
I had actually messed up, letting the pen go too far out on her neck, but I was able to hide it with shadows.
If you mess up on something that can't be changed, make it a part of the drawing!

Now she is 100% out lined in dark pen, and the shadows have been finished.
I decided to experiment a new technique for this drawing, if you look, on the clothing the shadows are done as little tiny dots. This idea came to me because so many of the manga artists use this for shading!

This is the finished product, I used black sharpie, regular sparkly pens, faber castle markers and a regular pencil for out line.

This is the original, I did actually change a few details in my own to suit to my style and goal, or I liked the idea better.

Thanks a ton for all your support, especially to Hotchocolaterush animefandom5 thanks for all the support. And to everyone else who read, voted or commented on this book. It means the world!!!

Sincerely,
