For my first fantasy booking, this is an idea that most recently swirled into my head and got me the most motivated to do this.

Now, if you're wondering what the chapter's title means, we're going to be focusing on the journeys of the WWE and Universal Championships from Wrestlemania 33 to 34.

Now 2017 was a decent year for the company with its usual ups and downs like any, but could definitely be called one of its better years given the struggling new era. Unfortunately, one of the main downfalls of that year was the top title holders in the men's division.

Let's recap...

We ushered in the year with Kevin Owens as the Universal Champion and some have called into question whether KO's first big main roster title run was good or not given the way he was booked. Whatever needed to be redeemed about his championship reign could've been greatly possible had he not been forced to lose the title to Goldberg, who then would only merely hold on to the championship before dropping it to Brock Lesnar, who would then begin one of the longest, yet extremely damaging and incompetent title runs in the company's history. Especially, given the fact the Universal Title was still a baby in fruition.

As for the WWE Championship, it had a great run in the year's beginning, but not so much halfway in. Now, I will go ahead and apologize if I offend any Jinder Mahal fans reading this, but the fact is he was not a good champion. He was granted the title as a way of helping the WWE Network's expansion to India, Jinder's native country; which is completely understandable, but didn't improve Jinder's status with the championship.

Now, what could they have done differently with the titles? Here's some suggestions:

First off, let's focus on the Universal Championship. As part of the original plans, and frankly what they should've stuck with, Kevin Owens would hold on to the title up until Wrestlemania, being the first to defend it at the grandest stage of them all, against the former buddy he betrayed and costed of the United States Championship, Chris Jericho. Also as part of the original plans, Jericho would win the match, being the first to win the title at Wrestlemania, and show the world that he is still the Greatest Of All Time.

Jericho will continue his rivalry with Owens with the title up for grabs until that year's Draft. Now there is the option of him bringing the title with him to Smackdown and turning it blue much earlier; but for argument's sake, I would have him trade belts with the WWE Champion like with what Charlotte and Becky did for Women's Titles. Then, in his last match before his contract with WWE is up, Jericho defends the championship in a Triple Threat match against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. Yes, that same one they had for the U.S. Title, but different championship; and just like then, Styles will walk out the winner and the new WWE Champion. Therefore, the rivalry between Styles and Owens kicks off, only this scenario has it over the WWE Title again lol. Just like before, Owens will win the belt at some point, then Styles will win it back, and then the final confrontation will happen between them at Summerslam with Shane McMahon as the special referee. This of course, as we all know, will lead to Owens rivaling with Shane as AJ goes on to carry the belt and represent "The House that AJ Styles Built" all the way until the following Wrestlemania. Where, he will face Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura. Now, I didn't have any problems with AJ winning in the actual storyline, but in this case, I think it would be best for Shinsuke to pick up the victory and become WWE Champion.

Now, as for the other main title holder: picking back up from when Bray Wyatt is the current WWE Champion and rivaling with Randy Orton. Now, whether Randy manages to win the belt and become a 13-Time Champ only to lose it back to Wyatt, or the Eater of Worlds retains and remains champion through the draft, I'll leave that up to reader's choice. Either way, Wyatt will be the one to swap titles with Jericho and enter Raw as its number one player. This of course is destined to be nothing short of chaotic for Monday nights. Wyatt's reign of terror will only increase from defending the title against Seth Rollins, given that Roman and Strowman are continuing their brutal fued.

But then, we come to the first ever Fatal-Five-Way Extreme Rules Match.

As we remember, the match took place between Wyatt, Rollins, Reigns, Balor and Joe; and this is one of those optional choices I was referring to before as there are two different ways we can go with this. Since I love exploring different possibilities, allow me to present to you each one.

First, there's the storyline of keeping Joe as the winner, only now walking out with the title. This of course will lead to a one-on-one rematch with Wyatt at the next pap-per-view. During their rivalry, Wyatt will not only attack and "injure" Finn Balor, but also cost him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, given that Balor was the one Joe put to sleep to win the belt rather then Bray himself. Wyatt and Joe will put on a physical hard hitting main event that will result in Balor coming to distract Bray in order for Joe to lock in the Coquina Clutch and defend the title. This will lead to their classic rivalry while Joe goes on to defend the title at Summerslam in a triple threat match against Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Joe will succeed in defending the title again and will continue to do so for the rest of the year, possibly even defending the title in different stipulated matchups, steel cage or Hell in a Cell, etc.

Or, we can go with the other option:

Bray Wyatt defends the belt in the Fatal-Five-Way Extreme Rules Match, further solidifying himself as the baddest dude on Raw. However, the other four participants from the match each lay claim to a rematch, leading to a Fatal-Fourway Match where Finn Balor will come out as the winner and #1 Contender. Finally having the chance to win back the title he never lost but against the most imposing champion, the stakes have never been higher for Finn. His first attempt at defeating Wyatt is unsuccessful, only increasing his underdog status; and Balor being the fighting spirit that he is, perservers, earns another shot at Summerslam where he brings back The Demon and this time, on the one year anniversary of becoming the first to hold it, Finn Balor is once again Universal Champion.

He'll have to defend against Wyatt at No Mercy of course, perhaps in a Steel Cage, Hell in a Cell, or even some sort of No Holds Barred match. Afterwards, Balor will face Styles in the Brand Warfare Champion vs Champion bout at Survivor Series, garnering another classic victory and a huge win for his brand. Along the way, maybe even earning another title defense against.... Rey Mysterio perhaps? I'll let y'all decide.

At this point, Balor has a comfortable spot on top of Mount Everest. He is living it up as Raw's main man. That is, until a new imposing challenger in the form of Samoa Joe steps up, wanting nothing more than to rain in on Balor's Universal title parade just like he did with his NXT Championship. Balor will manage to defeat his longtime rival at first, maybe even facing him in a Tables, Latters and Chairs match if that sounds appealing. Sadly, by the end of the year, Joe will manage to win the Universal Title from Finn.

Now, as for the possibilities this can lead to, here they are:

Joe will go on to have a short but fun-to-watch fued with Dean Ambrose regarding the title and then continues to hold the title until Wrestlemania, where he'll have another hard hitting classic against underdog challenger Roman Reigns. He may lose the belt, but his first Wrestlemania being with the belt and in the main event would something. Not taking anything away from his actual Mania debut which was DOMINANT!

If not that, and since Joe wasn't able to attend that Wrestlemania for whatever reason, lets put a good reason. Let's say that Joe was injured along the way and therefore forced to vacate the Universal Title before Wrestlemania. The title is then put up for grabs in the first ever Seven Man Elimination Chamber match. Those of you who remember that match will remember that Braun Strowman was the dominant force, eliminating all except one single opponent, that being Roman Reigns who will become the new champion here. This will perfectly setup one final showdown between Reigns and Strowman for the belt at Wrestlemania. Having fought each other throughout the previous year and this match being a Mania main event for the Championship, it's all or nothing in this one and their fued must come to an end here. Taking a note from a prediction a buddy of mine had for this Wrestlemania, this final match will be in a No-Holds-Barred contest. As for who should be the winner of this match, some could say Roman should get the last laugh since Braun dominated most of their fued while others could argue the importance of a main event title victory for Strowman, including the fact that he did in actuality win a title match that night while Roman did not.

I'll leave that up to reader's choice.

Or, for the ones who prefer the rematch between Reigns and Lesnar, Roman walks in with the belt this time, having all odds against him since he's not only getting this second chance to beat Lesnar, but to also ensure that he never plays keep away with a prestigious belt ever again. Roman succeeds in this matter, proving a true champ, gaining redemption, and defending the honor of his brand and his championship.

So, that's this fantasy booking. Let me know what y'all think, which scenarios and options you would've preferred or gone with and if y'all would like to see more.

Thanks everyone! Have an awesome day/night and take care.
