I sighed deeply as Naruto-kun kept throwing looks at me during class. It had been two days since he suddenly "confessed" his love for me. It was as if he thought I didn't know he was looking.

I turned my head to him and he didn't even try hiding the fact, and simply grinned cheekily. I stared him blankly before looking away. How long was he going to play this game.

It hasn't even been that long since Sakura-san so how can he claim he likes me. Though he does seem to "like" many women just from looks. Then why me? I thought we were so called friends. Now he wants to be lovers? Absolutely not.

Though without knowing it my eyes shot back to him when he wasn't looking before looking away again. I was simply watching him, making sure he was okay. I've always done this, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

When the class ended I waited for him to finish packing up.

"Did you pay attention? Today's lesson was important." I said, though it was simply cooking class.

"No.." He said looking at his bag on his desk as he put his papers away. "I was too busy looking at you."

He finished putting his bag over his shoulders. I sighed embarrassed slightly.

"Naruto-kun you should pay attention." I said as I followed him out.

"As well as drop the whole you liking me, it's annoying and it seems forced." I said. He stopped in his tracks before turning his head.

"We're still friends, even though I like you so there's really no problem Hina." He said before turning. For some reason my cheeks flushed from the slight nickname but I shook my head ignoring it.

"Yes we are still friends, but I do not believe that you are actually interested, you simply are a player and have nothing better to do. " I said coldly. He turned to me again, more aggressively.

He opened his mouth ready to speak but arms wrap around me.

"If it isn't my two buddies Hinata and Naruto." Kiba-kun said. I smiled slightly as I turned my head to Kiba-kun.

"Greetings Kiba-kun." I simply said. Shino-kun soon appeared as well.

"Hello to you too Shino-kun."

I turned to Naruto he frowned looking disappointed that they appeared. Before shooting me a glare. He then smiled to Kiba.

"Hey Kiba, Shino. How's it going?" He asked. They answered and all of us walked. We reached the class Naruto-kun and I had.

"Shouldn't you..let go of Hinata now?" Naruto-kun asked. I looked to Kiba who looked down at me. He use to do this when we were kids. He use to say I was his little sister.

Kiba shot his eyes to Naruto-kun.

"Why, you like her?" He asked protectively, smirking. I looked over to Naruto-kun to see what he would say. Probably say he did with his cockiness.

But all of us were shocked when he looked to the side.

"No, It's just I need someone to copy off of." He said. Kiba laughed before letting me go. He and Shino then left and I waved them goodbye before entering with Naruto. I smiled slightly. I knew it, he was bluffing.

"Seee, I knew you didn't like me." I said. He sighed.

"Then how come I get jealous when I see you with other guys? And how come when I think you'll leave soon, it makes me feel bad." He said. I turned to him seriously.

"Maybe you're just confused because I'm being nice to you after your heart was broken." I said. I put my hand on his shoulder.

"You'll be fine in no time, and I'll be by your side as your friend." I said. He looked at me seriously.

"But Hinata-" I simply walked to my seat and sat. He was frowning the whole class period.

When it was finally the end of the day as I was walking out of the class my arm was grabbed by Toneri-san.

"Ah? Hello Toneri-san." I said. He smiled, before dropping his hand.

"Hinata-san, I was wondering if you wanted to go out and eat with me tomorrow night." He said. I lifted a brow. 

"Eat?" I asked pushing my binder to my chest. Why was he asking me to go eat with him?

"Yes, would you like to?" He asked.

"I..uh.." I don't think Kushina-san wouldn't allow me to go, but my job was to stay with Naruto-kun.

I felt myself get grabbed again.

"Hinata didn't you hear me, let's go home."

My eyes widened when I heard him say that, Toneri-san also looked shocked. I turned to Naruto-kun quickly.

"Naruto-kun you just..." I looked at him thinking he got the point. He was the one who said we couldn't let people know we live together.

"Let's go home." He said. I sighed before turning to Toneri-san.

"Let's talk tomorrow, I'll ask." I said as Naruto-kun dragged me away. As we left the school building I finally pulled my arm out his grip.

"What's with you? You always seem to pull stuff like this when I'm with Toneri-san." I said. He got in his car and I followed.

"I told you, I get jealous." He said. As he started his car.

"Then don't get jealous." I said frowning. He turned to me as if I was dumb.

"I can't help it Hinata, I just have problems like that, I don't know, cause if I don't like you then why does it bug me so much." He said. I didn't answer because I don't know either.

We drove home in silence.

"Naruto-kun..." I suddenly said. He hummed.

"Do you want to date me?" I asked. He turned to me.

"Wha? Wha? Wait what?" He asked. I put my finger on my chin.

"Because if you ever did then you'd have to stop messing with other girls, study in school, and respect my decisions. " I said, before turning my eyes to him. I doubted he would agree.

He had a plain look on his face. He looked like he couldn't decide. Maybe he was using me to get over his problems. Somehow, though I knew it annoyed me, I was glad at least he wouldn't be sad.

But dating Naruto-kun is against the rules for body guards. And I..I'm not interested in him.

When we made it home finally. I sighed.

"Naruto-kun, may I ask for advice?" I asked.

He turned to me as he opened the door.

"What?"

"How do I know if I'm interested in someone?" I asked. He looked up.

"Hmm, I don't really know. I guess you think they look nice and smell nice. And you look at them a lot and care?" He said. We entered.

"How do you know if someone is interested in you?" I asked, as I followed him up the stairs.

"They ask you out." He said. Toneri-san came to mind. But it's different Toneri-san just wanted to go get food. Naruto-kun was about to enter his room.

"Naruto-kun I'd like to go "out " with Toneri-san." I said. He turned quickly.

"Hah?" He asked his mouth staying in the position.

"Tomorrow night, I'd like to be excused to go out with Toneri-san." I said, before walking into my room. I heard his loud steps.

"No way no way! Hinata don't go out with him go out with meee." He whined. I turned to him, he doesn't know the difference.

"You haven't rejected me!" He yelled. I sighed.

"Alright, here is the rejection. I'm sorry Naruto-kun but I'm not interested in you at the moment." I said. I felt my eyes widened. Why did I say "At the moment."

He caught on.

"Okay you rejected me. But just like Sakura-Chan I'm going to try to win you over." He said frowning. I looked at him sharply.

"It's going to be useless." I said. He shook his head.

"There's no way I'm losing to Toneri." He said. I couldn't help but feel my chest push out.

"Before you can even try winning me over you're going to actually have to fall in love with me." I said. Sounding like I was giving him hope.

"I don't think I know how to. " he said. I looked at him confused.

"Then how are you going to make me love you?" I asked, I didn't know anything about love.

"I don't know, maybe I'll actually actually try to change." He said. This time he looked serious. He got closer to me.

"Maybe If we spend more time together it'll work." He said. I frowned before pulling hair behind my ear.

"I'm telling you it's useless." I said. He grabbed my hand.

"You never know Hinata maybe you've already fallen for me." He teased grinning. I pulled my arm away feeling my cheeks flush for some reason.

"No way." I said before turning away.
