I started opening my eyes, and I looked around. I was in the nurse's office. I sat up and held my head, as it was pounding.

"Is he going to be alright?" I heard, and I scooted off the bed.

"He's fine, but it's just-." Recovery girl was saying, but stopped when I walked around the curtain. "Oh, y/n." She said and Aizawa and my Dad turned to me.

"Y/n." My Dad said and walked up to me. He hugged me, and held me really tight.

"What happened?" I asked, and hugged him back lightly.

"Why didn't you come get me last night?" Dad asked me and held my shoulders after he let me go from the hug. I flinched, and started remembering what happened in the classroom. I looked down at the floor, gripped my hands in fists.

"Mr. Aizawa, Mr. Mic." Deku said coming into the room. "The police are here to talk to . . . . y/n." Deku said after he saw me.

"Come on, lets go talk to the police." My Dad said and he walked me out of the nurses office. Before we left I turned back around and saw that Bakugo had been sitting on the bed Recovery girl, Mr. Aizawa, and my Dad had been standing around. He was looking down at the floor as Recovery girl handed him a pad of paper, and he got upset.

"Y/n, I want you to know that we're going to do everything we can find the man that attacked you, okay?" The lady officer told me, before getting up from the bench that we were sitting at.

"Yeah." I said lightly, and she walked away from me.

"Y/n?" Someone said, and I turned to see Mr. Aizawa walking towards me. "Can I sit?" I nodded and he sat down next to me. He didn't say anything, and we sat there in silence for a while.

"Is Bakugo okay?" I asked him, finally breaking the silence.

"He's . . . . fine." He told me.

"You hesitated." I said.

"He is fine." Mr. Aizawa said again. "His ears and head are in pain from you screaming." I whipped my head to look at him, and he was already looking at me.

"Is he okay?" I asked again, and this time I felt pain in my chest.

"He's going to be fine." Mr. Aizawa said again, but I wasn't going to stay and listen to him. I shot off the bench and took off towards the dorms.

I ran into the dorms and looked and saw that Bakugo and Kirishima were sitting on a couch facing each other. They had a book in front of each other and were making movements in the air.

They were doing sign language.

Bakugo looked up at Kirishima, and his eyes snapped to me. He quickly grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch and threw it over the book. But it was too late, I had already seen it.

I covered my mouth and Bakugo got off the couch. I ignored him and started walking towards my room.

"Y/n!" He yelled, after me but I continued to ignore him and walked into my room. But this time I didn't try to shut him out. Bakugo followed me into my room and closed the door behind him. I sat down on my bed, and I couldn't bring myself to look at him. "Y/n." He said, it was still a little loud but he wasn't yelling this time.

He sat down next to me on my bed, and I closed my eyes. When I was younger and in grade school, they had taught us some sign language. I couldn't remember much, not that Bakugo would know much at this point.

I took a deep breath and turned towards him. I made a fist and made a circle in front of my chest.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, before covering my mouth. He looked at me, and pulled me into his chest. I wrapped my arms around him and he hugged me close to him. And I cried, even though I had no reason to be crying right now.

"It's not your fault." He said in my ear, and I pulled away from him. And he covered my mouth. "Don't fight me on this. I'm not going to listen anyway." He said, and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh.

We both laughed together, and this was the first time that I had seen Bakugo make a genuine smile. I signed that I was sorry again.

"It's okay, listen to me." He said and grabbed my hand. "I was already going deaf."

"What?" I asked, and turned my head.

"My quirk." He said, and I realized what he was talking about. "My explosions were already making me go deaf." He told me and he signed along with it. "After the last school check-up, I started learning sign language with shitty-hair."

"Why didn't you say anything to anybody else?" I asked, and Bakugo looked at me a little weird. I looked around my room and grabbed my notebook off of my desk. I wrote my question for him and he read it.

"Because it's kind of humiliating." He said. "I'm sixteen and going deaf, because of my quirk." I sighed, and he looked at me. "Hey, don't blame yourself idiot. That purple haired dumb ass shouldn't have made you talk like that in class."

"Yeah." I said.

"Everything is going to be okay." He told me. I looked down at the notebook in my hands and I wrote.

'Why are you being nice to me?'

"Well I could be an ass, if you want me too." He told me, and I could hear was annoyed.

'No.'

I wrote but I never looked up from the paper.

'Even before last night. You've always been nicer with me than everyone else.'

"I . . . ugh." He said, and scratched the back of his head. He took a deep breath, before answering. "I like you." He said and I looked up at him. His eyes were closed. I touched his arm, but I didn't know what I was going to say or write when he finally opened his eyes.

He opened his eyes and looked at me. I smiled and signed to him that I liked him too. He flinched a little and looked me in the eye.

'It might take me a while. But I would like to be closer with you.'

I wrote on the paper, and he tackled me down onto my bed. I held my breath as I dropped the notebook, and he held me to him.

"I promise I'll be patient with you, if you'll be patient with me." He said into my chest. I wrapped my arms around him, and held him tight. He laid his ear to my chest, and closed his eyes. I smiled, and started humming. I used some of my quirk to enhance the melody in my chest, and he held me closer as he felt the vibration.
