"Who is it for?" Mr. Aizawa asked me. I flinched at his question and I hugged myself, looking away from him.

"I can't answer that." I said.

"Why not?" He asked me.

"Because I shouldn't love who I do." I said.

"And why is that?" Mr. Aizawa asked me. "Is it because they're already dating someone or something?"

"Or something." I answered and took a deep breath. "I can't do anything about it."

"And why not?" He questioned me, and I still didn't look at him.

"Because if I confess, and they return it." I said. "They'll get in trouble."

"Why would they be in trouble?" He asked, and crossed his arms.

"Because it's not legal." I said, and looked at him. He had flinched at my answer. "Just like I told Mina, I didn't mean to. It all started as a joke in my own head, and the next thing I knew I was coughing up petals."

"Who is it?" Mr. Aizawa asked. I shook my head and he grabbed my shoulders. "I can't help you, if you don't tell me who it is."

"Mr. Aizawa, I don't need your help." I told him. "I need surgery."

"You're just going to give up?" He asked me.

"On this yes." I said. "He's twice my age, and he can't do anything about it."

"Does your mother know?" He asked me.

"Not yet." I said. "I was going to tell her, when I go home for the weekend."

"I think you should tell her now." He said. "How far along are you?"

"About two weeks." I said. "Today was two whole flowers, and petals."

"You should tell your mother sooner rather than later." He told me, and we walked back to class.

"Yes sir." I said and went back to my seat.

I laid on my bed, staring at my phone. Not wanting to make the call. But I had to. I didn't want to die, but I also didn't want the surgery either. I sighed and hit dial on the screen and put it to my ear. It rang a couple of times before she picked up.

"Hi sweetie!" My mom said on the other side of the phone. "Are you calling to tell me you can't come home this weekend, cause you're going to go partying with all your friends?" I laughed a little and tears rolled down my face, and I sniffed.

"Hi Mom." I said.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" She asked me.

"I screwed up." I told her.

"What is it honey?" She asked me.

"I wanted to wait to tell you on the weekend in person, but it can't wait until then." I said and held one of my roses in my hand. "You might want to sit down. And please don't be mad."

"What is it?" She asked me. "Did you get kicked out of school or something?"

"No." I cried and sniffed again. "I have Hanahaki disease." I told her.

"Oh honey." She sighed into the phone. "Did he not return it?"

"He doesn't know." I said.

"You should tell him." She told me over the phone. "At least try, before going forward with surgery."

"I can't." I told her. "And he can't return it either."

"Why not?" She asked.

"Because it's not legal." I told her.

"Sweetie." She sighed again, but she wasn't disappointed.

"I didn't mean for it to happen." I cried. "All I did was have one little thought. One, teenage girl thought, and I started puking petals. Please don't be mad." I begged her.

"I'm not mad." She told me. "I've been where you are."

"You have?" I asked her.

"Yeah." She told me. "Not with someone that was older or something like that, but I know what you're going through right now. And I'm not mad. But are you sure you don't want to try for him?"

"Mom." I sighed into the phone.

"I know, I know." She said. "But this is your first love, and that's always something special."

"This one is a little too special." I said.

"Okay, okay." She said, and took a moment to think. "Let me look into it and get back to you, okay?" She asked me.

"Yeah." I said.

"I love you Sweetie. And I promise, everything will be okay." She told me.

"I love you too Mom." I said. "And Mom?"

"Yeah?" She asked.

"Please hurry." I begged her, and looked down at all the roses on my bed, I was completely surrounded by flowers and petals.

There was a knock on my door. I said goodbye to my mom, and got up to answer the door. I cracked it open slightly and saw Mina. She held up a bag, and I could see that it had soup in it.

"I thought I'd bring you soup, to make you feel better." She said, and I let her in.

"Mina, nothing is going to make me feel better." I said and closed the door before turning to see her frozen. She was staring at my bed that was covered in flowers and petals. I grabbed my trashcan, and I swept all of them into the bin.

"Y/n." She said.

"Please don't." I begged her. "My Mom's already looking into the surgery."

"You're really going for it?" She asked and we sat on my bed and started eating the soup.

"What else am I going to do?" I asked. "If I say something, Aizawa could get in big trouble because of it. If he accepts it, he could get arrested and lose everything."

"Yeah." She said and took a bite of her food. "Did you tell your Mom who it was?"

"No." I answered, when my phone buzzed and I looked at it. "My Mom's coming up this weekend and she's going to take me to the hospital for the surgery." I read out to Mina. I put my phone down on my bedside table along with my soup. I covered my mouth and started crying.

"Oh y/n." She said and put her soup down too. I laid my head down in her lap and she rubbed my back while I cried.

"Why am I so stupid?" I asked her.

"You're not stupid." She told me. "You just fell in love."
