I sat in the bathroom, staring at the large bundle of clothes. I wasn't tasked to wash these clothes; there were enough maids. I was just bored out of my mind. I didn't know what to do since I had no electronic device anymore. It was back to how I had grown up, thankfully, this wasn't new for me. But it still affected me as nobody here talked to me. In my home, my mother, cousins, and aunts would all gather around each other and narrate fairytales.

They would be stories filled with colors, good people, and magic. With a protagonist whose life shifts from black and white to colour. Movies in my childhood were all about happiness, love, and family. The characters would break out into songs, and some of them I still remember.

As I scrubbed the clothes, I sang the lyrics, the lyrics that once sparked me with hope made me feel lonely again.

"Some day my prince will come, some day we'll meet again," I sang softly, my voice echoing in the bathroom as I scrubbed the clothes. The lyrics of the old Disney song had always been a source of comfort and hope for me, but now they seemed like a distant dream.

I longed for the fairy tales of my childhood, where love and happiness prevailed, where characters overcame their trials and found their "happily ever after." Here, in this unfamiliar place, happiness felt like a foreign concept.

"Some day when spring is here," I continued, my voice trembling slightly, "we'll find our love anew." The words held a bittersweet reminder of the love stories I used to believe in. But in this reality, love was a distant and complicated notion.

She wanders to the beautiful third floor, which she hasn't explored yet. So setting her headscarf she went up the stairs, her footsteps light, but the chanak of payals on her ankle made a sound. There was light in the darkness, she felt warm, the wood floor cool under her legs as she saw the five rooms. Three on one side and the other two in between.

It was clean, and she saw light coming out from one of them.  Grasping her courage she went in, the door opened, and she had expected to come across a room. But , in contrast, it was a completely different scene. There was a  a view of the beautiful lake, on the large balcony.

She could hear the sound, and there was a stair that went down, she realised it was to dive in. She knew how to swim, it was noon, and Saad wouldn't arrive until evening. Excitement bubbled in her as she went down, and sat on the last edge. Her legs were immersed in the water as her mind shut down. She felt the peace as she heard the sound of waves.

A stream of water passed and she relaxed completely, feeling the stress, the sadness everything being washed away by the water. The fresh scent and nature's lullaby lulled her to sleep. She felt like she was being carried away, as if she was a part of the lake. When her eyes opened it was dark, her legs felt numb. The skin became rubbery soft as it had been hours since she fell asleep, getting up she quickly walked up, she had no idea what time it was but looking at the postion of the moon she could guess it was around seven. Saad had arrived, she ran downstairs to the second floor and found her room door open. He was inside, her eyes widened as her nerves got the best of her. He could be angry, he could harm her. She felt the earlier calm dissolve as the anxiety kicked in, Seher started biting her nails as she tried to calm herself down.  He could kill her, that's the worst case.

And suddenly she wasn't scared , Seher realised she wasn't scared of death. But the misery, and the more she extended it, the more harder her life got. Her life was a prison, her goals didn't matter, she had intended to be a lecturer, to marry a good man. Not a prince charming but a man who loved her. She got the prince the castle, but not the love.

Her nerves were everywhere and as she entered the room, she saw him sitting on the love seat. Talking to someone, his eyebrows tensed as he smoked. The smoke coming out and forming cloud arounf them. Their eyes met. And she noddrd not intending to disturb him during the phone call, she sat down on the bed. Waiting for his next command, she wished she could snatch away the cigarette and smokr herself.

But the smell did the job. Her mind went slow as she became euphoric calm again, due to another reason. She observed his handsome face. Thinking to herself, trying to brainwash herself. That he could have been her choice if she had known him better. Their first meeting was a blood bath and the fear stuck to her till now. She couldn't even control her fear, she was weak. Pathetic. This palace was his. She was his.

Saad took a final drag from his cigarette and flicked the remaining ash into a nearby ashtray. The room slowly cleared of the hazy smoke, creating a more breathable atmosphere. With a sigh, he leaned back on the loveseat, his intense gaze never leaving Seher.

He suddenly spoke, his voice laced with irritation. "What were you doing on the third floor?"

Seher hesitated, her anxiety growing as she spoke. "I was just exploring, trying to pass the time..."

His tone remained harsh as he retorted, "You have no business wandering around this place without my permission. Remember your place."

Seher nodded, her heart sinking as the oppressive atmosphere of the room closed in on her. Their conversation was far from civil, as Saad's words continued to traumatize her. She couldn't help but dread her life in this place.

Saad's authority over the village was a constant reminder of her limited options. The gilded cage of her existence, surrounded by his presence and harsh demeanour, left Seher with a feeling of hopelessness.

She was trapped in with a beast, a beast whose thirst never quenched. She realised he loved torturing her, overpowering her, but for some reason inspite of losing the past few days. Seher couldn't surrender, she couldn't accept defeat.

So at night when he called over to his bed, she spoke her mind, "I don't want to", she denied her teeth clenched as she stood strong, her didn't react instead a look of amusement crossed his eyes.

"You are too stubborn, just like Andalib", he said a faraway look in his eyes as she realised it was his sister. "Woman should learn their place".

He said his voice strong as he gazed at her, "And if she doesn't, then it's the responsibility of their father or brother to show their place. You father did his job, and now it's my turn". With that he walked towards her and pulled her towards him, his steps dragging on the wooden floor as she tried to runaway but he caught her hair making her scream. His grip strong as her skull burnt, he pulled her and she held his hand following him, still struggling.

She landed in the middle of the bed, and the breath was knocked out of her as the trauma of the other night replayed, "It seems I have given you too much respect, let me show you how bit*hes like you deserve to be treated".

With that he rolled her so she was on her stomach and he fiddled with her pants trapping her, she fought with him, screamed her refusal. She begged him, but then his body weight trapped her, and he whispered in her ears, "Do it or die", and her fight broke. She gave up her struggle, as he roughly penetrated her. This time there was no pleasure just  agony, each thrust of his hot, swollen member spread the lips of her sex impossibly wide. His ballocks slapped against her, the sound of flesh against flesh echoing through the room.

He held onto her hips as he covered her, but when his ballocks drew up tight, he leaned forward and grasped her shoulders, holding her fast as he shot his seed into her.

Seher overcome with shame, even as she felt the hot gush of his seed fill her body. He had treated her like an animal. Bred her like an animal. And he was right. This was far different than how he had mounted her the last three nights. Her buttocks and thighs were on fire and it ached and burned from his rough use.

He held himself inside her awhile longer, his long, hard shaft a shameful reminder of how he dominated her body. And then, just like that, he slid out of her, leaving her gaping and sore.

"Tell me, you love me," he commanded.

She would not say it. She would simply remain silent. And she would have done, too, if he had not tried to humiliate her.

"Say it," he ordered her.

"I l-love you..." she choked out.

"Let this be a lesson to you," he said before he went to bed. "Your submission is all that I require of you as my wife. If you do not give it willingly, I shall have to take it by force."
