Hello, everyone. I'm ImberLapis, and welcome to my first non-Pokémon fanfiction: My Last Dive.

   For those who don't know the world of Made in Abyss, this story is written in a way that anyone could read it, as the MC learns about the world alongside the reader. No prior knowledge is needed to enjoy this story.

And for those who do know the material, this story takes place about thirty years before the events of MiA's main story, though some canon characters cameo in this. If you're an anime-only fan, there will be some light manga spoilers included considering the lore of MiA presented during the Idofront Arc/the movie Dawn of the Deep Soul, so be wary of that. This story also features headcanons of mine as well as creatures I created. The most recent manga chapter at the time of me posting this disclaimer is Ch. 54, so there may be possible contradictions in the lore in the future.

   Now for the content warnings. This story contains several:
•Moderate blood, gore, and violence, including violence against minors and animals
•Heavy swearing
•Semi to moderately-graphic descriptions
•Mild religious themes
•Moderate occurrences of and heavy references to death
•Depictions of depression and PTSD
•Mentionings of suicide (near the end of the story)
•Underage drinking, alcohol abuse (near the end of the story), and casual drinking
•Minor depictions of self-harm (sporadic throughout the story)
