Monique's POV

When I'm helping grandmother Eda cook dinner, I hear a pounding on the door. "Monique, be a dear and go get that for me." She asks. I do as I'm told. I slowly pull open Eda's creaky door to reveal a girl with dirty blond hair, filthy clothes, and and a blue backpack. "Can I help you?" I ask. "Yes. I'm looking for a lady named Eda." She says. "Eda..." I say suspiciously, "It's for you..." I walk from the door back to the kitchen where my grandma was making milk tea. Now, she's chitchatting with the person standing at her front door. Grandma Eda walks her inside. "Monique, this is my new farmhand. Early tomorrow, I want you to go out and teach her how to farm, because your own farm won't be done until later tomorrow night. "Great." I think. "Now I have to do it all again." I flash a smile at her. "My name is Emma." She says. "I hope that we'll be friends!" "Monique, while I teach her the rules, just to start her off, why don't you go explore the town." Eda says. "Ok." I reply. I walk out of the house, into the farm, and run downhill to the parting grounds. Then I walk to the piedmont and finally, into the town. It looks so peaceful at night, on the contrary to the city. The main part of Oak Tree Town has a general store, an antique shop, a carpenter's shop, and the "Restaurant". I meet the shop owners. Most of them are very nice. And then I realize that I haven't even had dinner. I guess I could eat at the restaurant. When I open the door, Raegar is standing behind the counter. "Hey! Monique's back!" He says. "Yup." I reply. "Are you going to eat here?" Raegar asks. I nod. "Well then, what can I get you?" He asks. "A salad." I say. Raegar quickly runs back into the kitchen where he starts fixing my meal. "So..." He asks. "Where are you from?" "The big city. Big city, bright lights." I say.
